Some Recent Developments in the War

Tragedy in Paradise:
The lamentable murders of the Texas religious couple that occurred in Villa de Santiago, Nuevo Leon three days ago is very regrettable and tragic.   A bit of clarity needs to be shed on this issue, especially after Greta's analysis yesterday evening.   The couple has been active for the past 29 years in the area in and around Villa de Santiago, a very enchanting and impressive piece of the North American Continent.  The couple had moved to the area from Amarillo, Texas in 1982 and raised their family in what was and what will be again a true paradise.
They had established four congregations in the county.   They were highly regarded.   He was Latin, she was Anglo.   They embodied the best of what Protestant pastors should be.   They were generous, hard-working, and moderate in their lifestyle.   If anything, they were said to be very non-aggressive in terms of proselyting.   They worked well with other denominations' clerics.   The area is famous as a zone of very light coloured and blue or green eyed people.   Their children, because of their "purebred Texan" parentage, blended in with the "natives".
The man and his wife were found, bound about the neck with electrical cords, she in the parlour and he about an hour later, in a storage shed towards the back of their property.   Their SUV and their computer and some other electronics were stolen.   This was not, however, any part of the slowly diminishing cartel activity....although Greta's article made it seem as though it was.
By the very sketchy discription you have recieived in these few paragraphs, the OROG would almost immediately begin to suspect what the El Gringo Viejo surmised early on in this matter.    It would seem that evidence is pointing to a fairly stupidly executed "inside job".   The new State Police investigators and forensicists indicate that they have a group of "persons of interest" that are being detained and that they are fairly certain the case will be resolved within days.
One other small problem.   A small, well hidden wall safe was apparently the main target of the thugs.  El Gringo Viejo does not know the people or the nature of their home.  But, according to the police, it would have required the knowledge of someone very familiar with the couple to  have known where the safe had been placed, and it is the opinion of the investigators that the couple was killed immediately upon entry.    They were not tortured in order to gain the information concerning the whereabouts of the safe.    Neighbours indicate that some people came and left within two minutes, taking the SUV of the couple with them.
Some known addicts, one of whom may be an American, may have been involved.    For the benefit of the OROGs who have been in this area, the couple's home was only four or five miles from the famous Horsetail Falls waterfalls that have been visited by millions of people over the past century.    All very sad.

Substantial engagement at Rio Grande's edge:
NEWINFORMATIONNEWINFORMATIONNEWINFORMATION:
The Mexican Army, authourities on the Texas and American side, and civilian accounts now indicate that the drug traffickers from the two contending cartels began an armed contention near Anzadlduas International Bridge south of Mission, Texas.    The conflict moved up Federal Mexican Highway 2, to a point near the community of Diaz Ordaz, about 12 miles upstream.   The Mexican Army, in a fairly common manuever came up from the west and east, expecting to find a small encounter between the two cartel groups, but ran into a big one.

Texas Ranger Flores
Don't Mess with Texas
They engaged anyway and essentially put the opposing force to flight.   The problem is that the American and Texas civilian police (Border Patrol and Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department, joined from the Texas side, firing on those attempting to escape, after first being fired on by those same persons.   Note was taken of several dead cartel people on the Tamaulipas side, while one of the bad guys was recovered on the Texas side, and two were taken  alive but wounded.    These events occurred during the twilight hours of 2 February 2012.  Two squads of Mexican Infantry (approximately 32 men and officers) and about 20 American and Texas law enforcement were involved.
This addenda was added at 13:00 hours, Friday, 3 February 2012
(begin original article)  Next, a very interesting development.     Yesterday, at evening,  a great commotion broke out near the community of Los Ebanos, Texas.   The community is on the Rio Grande, about mid-way between McAllen and Rio Grande City, Texas.   In a rural setting intense gunfire broke out, and local Sheriff's Office deputies along with the Border Patrol entered the area on the banks of the Rio Grande, just downstream from the community of Los Ebanos.
Mexican Army, Special Forces
Actual Combat Photograph

As details were sorted out, it seems that a Mexican Army patrol had come upon a larger group of cockroaches who were involved in trying to push a load of marihuana over the Rio Grande.  The cockroaches engaged the inferior force with automatic weapons fire.   The Mexican Army squad, about 1o effectives, took down the resistance and pursued 2 of the malcreants to the edge of the Rio Grande, and continued firing on them as they swam to the American side.
The U.S. and Texas authourity arrived, apparently as one wounded and one un-wounded of the cockroaches came up out of the water.   They were apprehended by the authourity on the Texas side of the Rio.   The Mexican Army personnel and the American and Texas authourities had essentially caught the malefactors in a caliper action.   Two traffickers were taken away.   One went to a hospitial, the other to detention
While this was going on, a helicopter flew into the area from the side, approaching the area from the east-northeast.   It moved well into Mexican air- space, and then proceeded to the Los Ebanos area.    It seems as though the helicopter pilot might have been trying to determine if any of the bad guys were fleeing by motor vehicle towards Reynosa on Mexican Federal Highway 2, aka La Riberen~a...(the River Road).   None were encountered.   All were, how should we say?  Preparing to push up daisies.
This is international co-operation.   And it is also saving money and  unclogging the Texas, American, and Mexican courts.    The issue about American or Texas helicopters going into Mexico is something that is not officially recognised but it is seen with some frequency.   This is the second time that the Gringo Viejo has seen it in the past 10 days or so.

Wonder Woman Against The Dragon Monster

Everyone thinks according to his own manner, but excuse me, the  purposefully hidden things no one sees, as would say my dear grandmother, "They see nothing more beyond their own noses", disgracefully the problem is not that Josefina should win and that she is a woman.  Take note, everyone;  who is in the background, and who is her mentor, and further who is supporting her with funding, and in this matter before us, it is said, "She was educated by the Jesuits (Theology of Liberation) and by the Opus Dei (The Worldwide Catholic Mafia) and it is in this manner that they will take control of Mexico.

The above appears on a screed of a somewhat respectable leftist news outlet in Mexico City.  The personality about which the writer makes his observations, is of course, Josefina Vazquez Mota, who is rather much like the Sarah Palin/Michelle Bachmann of Mexico.   She currently has the backing of a majority of the center-right Partido de Accion Nacional membership as a candidate for the Presidency of Mexico.     The late arriving manuevering and negative attacks from inside and outside the party has become all but an avalanche in the last few days.    We shall have to see if there is enough rolling rock, dirt, and logs to do any damage to the nomination process.    We should know in 60 hours.
The above posted paragraph w/ translation is an example of throwing everything up against the wall and seeing what, if anything, sticks.   The writer accuses Vazquez Mota of being both a product of the famous pro-Castro, marxist Jesuits who taught liberation theology in classrooms under their control in various private schools in Mexico.   At the same time, Vazquez Mota is said to be a product of the ultra-conservative Opus Dei movement of devout, observant Roman Catholic intellectuals and adherents.    She has even been accused of being a member of the Zeta drug cartel because she spells her paternal surname with two "z" letters, which is a bit rare within the set of Spanish/Hebrew surnames.   Usually one or the other "z" will be an "s".    She would have to be some kind of super bi-polar political thinker to pull off all of this.

We Gringos do not have a corner on the absurd in political processes.   Take faith.  We shall see if this last minute onslaught has any effect on Sra. Josefina's nomination.   Anything is possible when one deals with Mexican politics now.   It used to be so nice and dull and predictable.    "Everybody alway votes for the PAN, but the PRI always wins."  was the old adage.

More  later,

KING'S X

Things Said by Democrats and Marxists That Carry a Built in King's X:

The king's X is provided by the mainstream media.   It is for all offenses against political correctness.   It can carry over to various felonies ranging from murder to perjury.   Here are a couple of the more recent examples.

Rep. Jim Moran Talks to Martin Bashir About Allen West and the African American Community
Wagging you finger is inappropriate, but jabbing is acceptable

After comparing conservative criticism for President Obama to a Disney cartoon, Rep. Moran launched into a heavy-handed rebuke of Rep. West.
“People like Mr. [Allen] West, and Governor Brewer and so on, particularly Mr. West, is not only not representative of the African-American community,” said Rep. Moran, who, among other things, is apparently a spokesman for the African-American community, “Or of the Republican Party, let alone of the American public. So what he says really is of little or no consequence, but it’s unfortunate.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It should be pointed out that a person who stereotypes other classes and groups of people in such a way as to require that all members of said group or class must adhere to predictable uniform characteristic, is a racist.    The person who says, "All Mexicans are..." almost immediately paints himself into a corner of being a person of prejudicial opinion, and stereotyper, and therefore a racist.   Same goes for "All Negroes are...." which moves into the mind set that " ....all Negroes must be...." or else they are not ''real Negroes''.

El Gringo Viejo reminds "Mr." Moran that he is a pompous jackass.   He is the brilliant person who gave his AA a briefcase with a pistol in it to return to the capitol after helping the Congressman board a commercial flight at a Washington D.C. area airport (?) .     As one might imagine, the aide played hell with security, and, of course, Moran said he had no knowledge of the matter before finally confessing that he carried the gun, without any permitting, as a matter of course, but had "forgotten" to tell his AA about it being in his briefcase.
(Mr.) Moran also is that fine adherent to the law who took possession and played surreptitious tape recordings purloined by a geezer couple with far too little to do....who had followed Newt Gingrich's ride and taped the telephone conversations Newt was having as they drove to some appointment in Florida.   The conversations were dull and boring planning and tactical affairs that are quite normal in terms of the administration of political offensives that Republicans were planning for the Lower House agenda.   Dispite the fact that the geezers committed a serious felony first by recording a first-class communication, they doubled up by delivering the recording to Moran who delighted in playing it for the press...also a felony.   Of course, since he is a Democrat, nothing ever came of it.   Had he been a Nixon staffer he would have gone to prison for4 years like Chuck Colson.   Colson committed a much less serious offense....but, as usual, breaching the law by Republicans must be severely punished, while the same offenses or worse by Democrats are applauded as being "courageous"  and punishment is thought to be either "racist" or politically motivated.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric Holder outdid himself in stumbling and rambling over a resonse...meant to play out the clock, obviously...to Rep. Raul Labrador's brutal questioning to-day.  Labrador pointed out that Holder had been a serial liar during previous testimony, and had falsely represented the conditions of the Marc Rich affair in such a way that would give cover to Billy Jeff Blythe's pardon of the mega-felon, even as Rich remained on the lamb in Europe.   He was and is completely unapoligetic to this day for having defauded hundreds of investors out of hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars.  (Corzine, the Happy, embezzling bundler, anyone?).
Exasperated, Holder finally stuttered out, "I don't know how you do things in Idaho, or wherever it is your from....(the last phrase being muttered almost under his breath)...which of course had reference to the fact that Labrador was a dirty spic with a Puerto Rican background, and worse is a member of the Tea Party brigade that has brought a modicum of sanity to the lower house of congress.

If you need confirmation that Republicans on the House Oversight committee got under Attorney General Eric Holder's skin today at the hearing on Fast and Furious, just look at this response he gave to Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, who grilled Holder about his own previous statements.Specifically, note Holder's comment that "maybe this is the way you do things in Idaho, or wherever you're from."Labrador, who is Puerto Rican, faced off in 2010 against a primary opponent who insisted in a debate that Puerto Rico is a foreign country.
Get used to it, Eric.   Your retirement in Cuba or Venezuela will not be all that bad.  All of us Hillbillies and Latinos and Uncle Toms and nutty religious people clinging to our guns and Bibles, and  people you never imagined, are not going to stand by and allow you to "help" us into the Gulag.   We are Americans.   Great God of Abraham help us and please help Eric, too.

El Gringo Viejo

And I was a Girl Scout

The OROG is warned, before openning the above posted linkage, that the material provided therein is disgusting and repulsive.   It is however endorsed by the United Nations, Planned Parenthood, and the Girl Scouts of America.   And published and/or distributed by those entities. It is all a source of negative weight on the heart and soul of El Gringo Viejo.
Several hundred years ago, in 1961, my mother and father were requested to assist the "Big Brownie", a famous and kind woman who was the Troop Leader of the local Senior Girl Scouts troop in a neighbouring city to our home town.   My father was the Civics, Economics, World History,  and American History teacher for the high school in that community.  My mother was a lower level member of the administrative group of the electric company that served South Texas.   I was a self-centred, lazy, spoiled slug who was totally concerned about me, just turned 14 and bound to be a sophomore or less beginning in September of 1961.
The issue at hand was the International Encampment of the Girl Scouts which was held in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico about an hour and a half south of Mexico City in those days.    The girls, 11 of them, were to attend the first session in June.    Arrangements were made for accommodations, transportation, and all the necessary elements of an expedition involving high adventure.    My parents were requested to escort the group because they were people known to have had a great deal of experience in dealing with people from the interior of Mexico, and because of my father's position as an teacher and an expert in matters of Mexican history and culture.    My father's mother and grandfather had lived in the interior for several years, owning a fairly large hacienda involved in the production of tropical produce.   My father and I spoke/speak the Spanish of the interior, and my mother was fluent, although with a Tennessee accent.
We travelled to Mexico City via a route that took us through Valles, Mexico City, Cuernavaca, then back through Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, Monterry, and then home.   The journey involved the better part of two weeks.  I wanted to stay home and get into trouble....a new girlfriend and baseball were the only things really important.   Our travels were handled by the Company named Transportes del Norte, an autobus service that had high positive ratings.    They charged us $10.05 American Currency per passenger (18 individuals) round trip.....1,800 miles...and provided essentially perfect service.   Amazing, actually.
We had an incredibly great time.   The girls...all uniformed and looking like American beauties....7 Anglo/Teutonic types and 4 Latins....made a million friends at the encampment.   We ate like royalty.   We saw and participated in classic tourist things and off the beaten trail intellectual things.   When we returned we were all either a little different or a lot different, in terms of our understanding of the Planet and its people.    The Gringo Viejo had the misfortune to have seen Mexico City when it had only 3,500,000 people.   It was a hypnotising place.   It will never return to that elegance.    It will always be the most interesting big city on the Planet, but its Epoca Dorada will never return to how it was in the 1950s and early 1960s.
Such were the Girl Scouts of America.   In the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas this same troop worked in social and civic matters to the good of all.   The girls on the trip were "old" to me, like juniors and a couple of seniors....and I was only going to be a sophomore....and a sophomore who had skipped the 3rd grade....making me like....a hundred years younger than these girls....four or five of them were beauty contest winner-types....all were attractive, and of course, in those days we ate whatever we wanted so we were all skinny.   One advantage the Gringo Viejo had was that he had already stretched out to 6 feet and 2 inches of vacuous self-absorption.   Having to dress with a jacket and tie helped as well.  And I was the only male on the trip with anything like a similar birth chronology.

So, try not to measure me by some pre-determined standard.   El Gringo Viejo was a girl scout and he was a Girl Scout.   He knew the good the organisation did, and he knows that the organisation has long since been co-opted by people who have a pro-gomorrahmite, pro-marxists, psuedo-egalitarian agenda.   Part of the pro-secular humanist agenda they endorse includes abortion as part of a "right of choice" that was buried into the Constitution of the
United States of America in a code that took 170 years to decipher.

Theyendorse it.   They helped write it.  They distribute it and the
advice and information contained in it.

Laissez les bon temps roulez....?
Since the arrival of Planned Parenthood, much progress has been made.   Girls are given necessary information about sexuality and reproduction, thereby being enpowered to make good choices about their future parenting decisions.   We are proud to note that in 1950, the Negro illegitamacy rate of 7% has been reduced to 77%.   Among other groups we have had similar success.   Venereal diseases have only increased by 600% on a per capita basis.   It proves that the more we meddle and obsess about young peoples' normal, hormonally/morally confused encounters with the mysteries and wonders presented by the mating dance of the children of Adam and Eve, the more we can cause anguish, early pregnancies, floods and cascades of abortions of the "inconvenient", suicides, and young women stricken barren by abortatoreums and their modern, clinically correct coathangers.

No Girl Scout Cookies.   No 'made in China'.   No bail-outs.  No subsidies.  No public assistance.   Don't just say it and believe it.  Live it.   It works.

Dismay and Re-doubling of Resolve

We are dismayed about the news of a Mexican Army general officer and a cadre of soldiers having gone rogue in Ojinaga, Chihuahua.   While some of the charges may be overstated, it seems fairly certain that  over a period from 2008 through part of 2009 a general, already under a probation for other military indiscretions, began a methodical abuse of power in that very isolated community.
He is charged with failure to maintain military order, abuse of power, perjury, association with known criminals, murder, deprivation of civil rights, and various property crimes of significance.  There are 28 other soldiers who have been charged as well, nine of whom are charged with significant felonies.

It serves well that the Secretary of Defense investigated citizen complaints during the Summer of 2009 and subsequently arrested the General and the headquarters staff.   They were transferred to a military garrison in Jalisco State, near the city of Guadalajara.   The General and his nine most seriously charged cohorts are under courts martial process at this time.  The case has been followed by observers for the last year and a half.
There is a move to have them charged in civilian court.   This is a typical move by the leftists in Mexico's intellectual elitist "human rights" cadre in order to try to defame both President Calderon and the Mexican Army.  It is something of a cross between Abu Ghraib and My Lai and even a bit of Hiroshima and Nagasaki thrown in.
In cold blood, eight or nine of the 10 people who were purportedly killed by these soldiers were lower than low drug traffickers who had been terrorising Ojinaga before the arrival of the soldiers.   Tbe biggest problem comes with the one or two innocent people who lost their lives.  Such is the result of allowing military force to violate military procedure.    In the group of soldiers detained, there is a Striker Squad of six or seven who "misplaced" large amounts of marihuana and lesser but valuable quantities  of cocaine.

There is a chance...albeit small.....that three or four of these men in olive drab will be placed before a firing squad.  The General has already "gone state" and will spend the rest of his days in a fort's brig....or in the Islas Marias reclusatory 100 miles into the Pacific Ocean....never to return to the Mexican mainland.

In order to contradict any news that comes out about the Mexican people being afraid of, or abused by, the Army or Naval Infantry....the people in Ojinaga have been extremely complementary of the troops who came in during the displacement of the "bad troops".   El Gringo Viejo's understanding now is that there is a 'destacamiento' of about 5 heavy infantry companies and one mechanised cavalry with air support (usually 6 helicopters for troop movement and perhaps three or four attack helicopters) in and around the Ojinaga area.

We simply want you all to be aware of and ready for the defamation game.   Please remember that there were two generals who were arrested due to the abuses and excesses of the Batallon 65 (El Narc0batallon) during their service in norther Sonora State about 15 years ago.    The troops were sent en masse to garrison detention in Tepic, Nayarit, and the two generals were sent to prison.   Several other officers were dismissed or sent to prison along with a number of sergeants.   Their colours and pennants have been burned.
One of the generals died in prison.   The other is still behind bars in a form or solitary confinement.
We urge OROGs to consider that the soldiers are facing an enemy that is sub-human, depraved, and incomprehensibly brutal.   This is not a contest between enemies who abide closely, more or less, to law governing warfare and rules of engagement.    We also point out that it is our side that holds trials, measuring the conduct of its own combatants.

Such is the nature of testosterone poisoning.   After the shortstop misses an easy grounder, you regroup and wait to play the next pitch.   We still have a game to win.
Thanks for your attention and patience.

Pirouette in the Dark to a Blind Audience

(1)   By this time next year, if Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich either one wins the presidency, they will be meeting with Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi in order to carve out "new areas of agreement and co-operation".   They will be saying things like, ".....to work effectively across the aisle to accomplish those things that the American people expect of us..."

(2)   Should either of the above mentioned two individuals deliver the inaugural address, there will be terms and phrases such as, "....to join together all Americans in searching for solutions to those problems all Americans are concerned about."    and, ".....so let it be known, the political posturing of obstruction and manoeuvring to personal advantage is no longer to be permitted." ...and, "....therefore, we shall keep the medical coverage initiative that will help control the ever increasing cost of medical care, and attempt to adapt other of the forward looking aspects of that legislation.   At this time there are no plans to extend coverage of children up to the age of 52 on their parents' health insurance policy, although these are areas of interest that can be worked on as we move forward with new and more efficient ways to allow the government to help the hard working American people in these difficult days."

(3)    If either is elected President, we shall hear the following immediately after the election, "We do not see this as a victory for the loudest shouting part of our Party, but rather the decision of that broad, moderate, and reasoned middle that is begging not for less government but for better government.    We can celebrate to-night, but tomorrow it is time for the shrillest voices to calm, and for more reasonable, less divisive voices to control the agenda for America.   This victory does not belong to a faction....but to all the people.    We must move to establish a kinder and gentler tone as we bind the wounds of the campaign and recover to form one nation with justice for all."

(4)    The following is new news for "moderate" Republicans.   For marxists and Democrats it is not news.  It is something they have known for a long time and something they have practised for generations now.   EVERY TIME A MEASURE IN PUT IN PLACE TO MAKE EDUCATION OR MEDICAL SERVICE OR ANYTHING "more accessible to the hard-working American middle class", the industry involved in that new accessibility immediately begins raising its fees and charges.  Free Money!...Harvard may have 34,000,000,000 dollars in their trust fund but why use it for student recruitment?   Throw out a few crumbs, pat yourself on the back and graduate in-bred idiots who think that they are going to wave a wand and cure the problems of Planet Earth.....Teach them global warming and Elements of the Written History of Oral Accounts of African-Americans in Africa During the Period of the Dark Ages in Europe.  Perhaps, "Wisdom of Margaret Sanger and Pete Seeger" could be extended another 20 semesters, paying illiterate professors 100,000 dollars per semester because they have a Nobel Prize in studies  of things like, "Racism as an Impediment to Underwater Basket Weaving".
