It is written.  ....."And men shall cry, Peace! Peace!, and there will be no peace."... but like in Porgy and Bess, Gershwin reminds us that what we hear from religious commentators might not be precisely what we think.  ''It ain't necessarily so...."

    Saint Paul does write in his first message to the Thessalonians the following:

"For yourselves, know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.   For when they say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman who is with child; and they shall not escape."

     El Gringo Viejo had to suffer through another parade of arrogant, right-brain thinking lefties who are on a leftie pilgrammage.   This particular group is derived from the pain of Mexican poet Sicilia who lost a son to cartel violence. The son died along with six others a few months back.   He, of course, says his son was a good boy and had nothing to do with drugs or illegal activity.  The six with whom he was keeping company....well...not so much.
     Several leftie pacifistas are travelling with Sicilia through Mexico and the United States calling for "a new approach" to the cartel violence.   They blame the present, outgoing President of Mexico for failing in his war against the cartels, and they ask for a "different approach to drug policies that places individuals, their welfare, and their dignity at the center, calling for alternatives to prohibition."   Sicilia and the lefties named below blame Felipe Calderon Hinojosa for the entirity of the violence, seemingly excusing the cartels themselves.

     The lefties, Guillermo del Toro, Alfonso Cuaron, and Diego Luna, also take a "hard line against weapons", calling on the United States and to take stronger measures to stop weapons smuggling into Mexico.   The lefties also "ask" that both the United States and Mexico hold financial institutions accountable  for the prevention of money laundering through increased surveillance, investigations, fines, and criminal charges." 
     In the words of Sicilia's organistion,  
"One of Mexico’s best-known poets, Javier Sicilia, laid down his pen last year after his 24-year-old son was murdered by drug traffickers in Cuernavaca, Mexico. In his son’s memory, Sicilia created the Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity to urge an end to the drug violence — violence that has left an estimated 60,000 dead, 10,000 disappeared, and more than 160,000 Mexicans displaced from their homes over the past six years. Sicilia is now in the United States to launch a month-long peace caravan to "bring to the American people’s conscience their shared responsibility for the thousands of dead, missing and displaced in the drug war."      The group is holding an "event" at a standard Rural Legal Aid, Welfare, United Farm Workers meeting place where there will be "....testimonies of drug war victims and musical performances that will be followed by a dinner...".

    Now, the question has been begged, and the answer cometh.   Perhaps a good lead-in to the above posted bilge is the response, included in the article amazingly enough, of a Reynosa businessman saying,"The only thing protecting the citizens from members of organised crime is the Military.   If they end the war and send the troops back like these hippies ask, then who is going to protect us?  The police are a joke, and the man~osos (slick and tricky ones) are not going to suddenly turn into humanitarians should the soldiers leave."

     It is interesting that the arrival of these people came during a new, albeit small dust-up of fighting between the various ridiculous sub-groups of these cartels, each fighting the other, all mainly composed of 18 year-olds zombitos who arrive, from God knows where, here in Matamoros and Reynosa.   The laughable jibberish about "preventing spill-over violence"  is such a joke here that we do not even laugh any more.    Scores of shoot-outs, auto chases, and intense violence has been the rule on the Texas side for the past three years.   It began to occur almost thirty years ago....steadily building until now we have between 5 to 30 people killed every week in the four county Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.....all directly attributable to the cartels and their handmaidens, the pandillas who are products of fatherless births, and in the United States, public assistance.   It is good to report, concerning the little dust-up of factions and fractions of the cartels here that the Mexican Army essentially slaughtered perhaps as many as two score over a period of three days in and around the Matamoros and Reynosa area.   The cartel people fight and do not care where the bullets land, while the Army tries and usually succeeds in pushing the enemy into "firing channels" where only the objective is eliminated, in almost all cases. 

     Also, dear lefties, the reason Mexico was prostrate against the violence is because Mexico is essentially disarmed....in terms of the common class of people....and the law abiding.   Procedures for buying and finding ammunition for a privately held pistol are labyrinthine, at best.   And....in spite of Obama and Holder's best efforts to arm as many cartel thugs as possible....most of the weaponry and ammunition for the cartels comes from Eastern European, Russian, and Red Chinese suppliers, through Cuba and Venezuela.

     The "Giuliani Rule" of not permitting a broken window to go unpunished when he was Mayor of New York City is still paying dividends in spite of the concentrated stupidity of the present mayor's silly and corrupt governance.    The notion of tolerating the cartels, or allowing unbridled implicit permission to the drug and human traffickers to push their death and degeneracy ever northward  would...nay, already has....penetrated very, very deeply into the fabric of Mexican society.   The "solution" proposed by the Nouveaux Train de  la Paix is nothing more than a fond, conceited notion by extreme upper-middle class and wealthy lefties who resent anything disturbing their bubble-wrapped, privileged lives.   They are the same hypocrites that we have in the United States who take private jets to rallies that are being held to condemn George Bush's carbon footprint.   They are Frida and Diego...they never really go away.

     The newspaper article is complete with pictures of the "cannon fodder people" holding up placards demanding the immediate suspension of military patrols (the real objective of all lefties until they gain total power), and for immediate "finding" of some poor lost or kidnapped soul.   Other placards blame the soldiers for having violated civil rights, for killing innocent women and children, and brutalities too numerous to mention.    About one case in every 10,000 claimed has some or any merit.   The Reynosa businessman's comments are a condensation of the overwhelmingly overwhelming majority of Mexicans.

Odds and Ends

We feel as though we have arrived.   One of the advertisers that were putting up those cute little announcements one sees to the right on the blog and within text groupings on the website, informed us that our content was racist and extreme.   So, they are not going to be advertising with us, no more, no how.

     We were crushed, and stayed up all night.   Started smoking again.  Called this morning to beg them to come back.  We'll change everything, do anything to have them come back.   The only problem is, they have never had an advertisement on this blog or on the website, but they are going to discontinue anyway.   Like Al Gore taking several hundred thousand dollars from foreign donors at the Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles....all in cash and check....for the 1996 re-election campaign.   When the story made it into the light, Gore pronounced sanctimoniously, "We have never taken any illegal donations from foreign sources, and we'll never do it again."    One of my favourite political statements in this lifetime.

     Oddly, we have never selected them as eligible advertisers.   We noticed that every third point about their fine company dealt with "sustainable" this and "carbon footprint" that, along with "giving back" to the community, "women's issues" and of course "LGBT sensitive".  In keeping with their hypocritical arrogance, much if not most of their product is made in Red China. 

     Since the crushing news, two more advertisers have quietly signed on, no fanfare, just got in line with the queue.    We did ask them not to grovel or beg.

     This goes back, in the recesses of what little is left of my mind,  to the pinko couple who came and stayed at the Quinta.   It was not all that long ago.  They were very nice.   Professors.   They stayed three or four nights....and were very complementary.   They liked my cooking, and they got along with Diana, and they got along with Alvaro and the cats and the dogs.    A month later we received a very hot email about how extreme our politics are and that they were never going to read the blog again and that they regretted ever showing up at our place.

     We had noted the Obama sticker in the back window of their auto.   But, clients are clients.  One of those "Oh, well" moments.

     The issue of Janet Napolitano.....and for that matter Janet Reno.....allows a very bright light to be shewn upon a very, very dark mess.    Complaints have been piling up in the Federal Government workers' union for two years about the establishment of a peculiar girls' club at the top of that useless thing called "Homeland Security Department".   The inability to make sense of anything Janet Napolitano....or Kathryn Sybilius of "Health and Human Services" for that matter....have to say has been de rigueur from our first indirect contact with either.   All three of them are chronic, pathological liars which is a common trait of marxists and something they share with their immediate superior.

      And now we have another "shooter incident".   First round up all the usual suspects.   Tea Party people.   Gun owners.  Republicans.  

      We go through the other recent ones:   A Korean student at the University of  Virginia, a Muslim "soldier" in the Army Medical Corps, a brain-addled kook in Tucson,  two dunces at Columbine who had been treated for ADDT and RRBO and YENZ with dilantin, mellaril, Quaalude, and the like since they were 6 years old, another dunce who apparently did not like Batman, and another idiot, a National Socialist, who could not tell the difference between a Muslim and a Sikh.    In each case the Obsolete Press immediately inferred that the guilty party had to be a Tea Party person, a white racist, a Republican, a gun owner, or the like.   In each case, the Republican conservative, Tea Party type....the legal gun owner....the normal dumbo so despised by the progressive elitists is immediately charged and convicted.

      However, now comes a homosexual, shooting an unarmed building superintendent/security guard.   The homosexual identifies himself as a homosexual.  It is his persona.   It is his profession.   Like Jesse Jackson is a professional Negro, this new personality is a professional homosexual.   This individual has a bag with 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and another container with 50 extra rounds of ammunition, and the clear intent to kill or maim as many racist, fascist, retrograde people possible....because they have committed the crime of believing that marriage is a sacred contract between a man and a woman.

       And in the Obsolete Media....almost to a 100% level....there is no mention.    To them, it is only to be expected, perhaps even justifiable.

     In keeping with the above vein, the Obsolete Press almost without fail, does not report and/or does not analyse in detail the avalanche of black on black murder and crime.    It certainly does not report the amount of homosexual on homosexual murder and crime.    Because of the purposeful destruction by white progressives and marxists of the Black race in the United States, 30 million black people in the United States kill among themselves in two years what it has taken 110 million Mexicans six years of full-scale war to kill not quite as many of each other.

      The Obsolete Press will never suggest the following fact to the attention of their decreasing pool of audience zombies:    in these days,  more white people are murdered by black people in a month than there were black people ever lynched in the past.    And, be aware, the fault for 90% of this violence is attributable to white progressives and marxists who simultaneously tried to re-enslave the black race, this time to welfare dependency, and tried to eliminate them through passive euthanasia.   The white progressives argued among themselves, sometimes openly, as to whether black people in America should be made welfare serfs to be turned out to vote upon command for the socialist agenda, or, like Abraham Lincoln wished, sent to dig and die in Panama or returned to Africa or simply be spayed and neutered.  We are reaping the whirlwind.

     Finally, so that the "cancelling advertiser" can understand how truly contrite and ashamed El Gringo Viejo is for having offended the sensibilities of their sensibilities, and in deference to their higher motives, and purer understanding of the nature of the human condition, the following is submitted.

     Nathan Bedford Forrest was the Confederate general Robert E. Lee declared to be the best commander in the field on either side during the War Between the States.   Forrest, from Tennessee, has long been typified as a semi-literate, rough-spoken rustic who was fighting with ruthless frenzy to either sustain slavery or to kill all the Negroes.  He is especially reviled by the half-truthers for his assault on Fort Pillow, where Union officers pushed up ill-trained, recently deployed Union coloured troops to face the ferocious attack of advanced elements of Forrest's battle hardened division.

     It is a matter of fact that revisionist historians and ignorant know-it-alls, and people who say "everybody knows....", are unaware or unwilling to admit the truth of the following.    In the Command Squadron of Cavalry of Bedford Forrest's staff, there were about 90 mounted soldiers, essentially one light-cavalry company.   Forty of the soldiers were slaves on the plantation and the businesses of Nathan Bedford Forrest when the War broke out.   His cook and his valet/horse groom are not counted among these 40, although most certainly they were regarded as combatants by the Union military.

     Valour has value.   Of this Command Squadron of 90 soldiers, only 4 were killed in action, and only 10 were wounded, although they were frequently involved in combat that was dreadfully murderous.    Of the Negro loyalists, none were killed, 6 were wounded, and only one deserted.   The deserter was thought to have been addled by repeated close strikes of explosive artillery devices.   He was not prosecuted or punished.

      Nathan Bedford Forrest made a contract with his black personnel as the War became unavoidable.   He told them that they would be manumitted at the end of hostilities is the South were to prevail, and if the Union were to carry the day, they would be free anyway.  he reminded them that he had been straight in all his dealings with them, and that he considered them as close as any friend or relative that he had, and that he would be proud to dress them in Grey.   Every age-eligible male slave became a Confederate cavalryman that day.

       They were emancipated, but  each already had his letter of manumission to carry as well.  Forrest had given each his manumission at the end of 18 months of the Hostilities.  And as an aside, Nathan Bedford Forrest founded the Ku Klux Klan as a veterans' organisation after the War.   When it morphed into a "Frighten and Intimidate the Darkeys" organisation, he ordered it disbanded, and said that dealing with issues of blacks and whites had many better alternatives.   AND!  He also funded and was instrumental in the  founding of the first Negro College of Law in Tennessee.    He had also gotten into a slight bit of trouble with some dumboes before the War when it was learnt that the Negro children on his properties were being instructed in ciphering, reading, and composition.

      The more El Gringo Viejo has learnt about this man during the years so contradicts what his "book value" is, that it leaves one in the position of suspecting every written thing about anything traditional.  Please watch the following attachment from beginning to end, about 8 minutes.

2016

     We are urging all OROGs to seek out the time and place for the showing of the presentation "2016" in your area.  El Gringo Viejo went to a movie house one time.   The last movie was "Red Dawn".   I yelled at my son and daughter all the way back home....16 blocks....admonishing them that the movie was a foreshadowing of the coming Russian-Cuban-Nicaragua invasion of the United States.    Perhaps it was a little tough on a four year old boy and a nine year old girl...my son stayed up all night rocking back and forth in the corner of his room, grasping his BB gun tightly and looking out the window nervously.

     My daughter just went to her room and went to sleep, because she had decided that if the commies were to come, she would just feed them oatmeal and onions and that would put them on the run back to Nicaragua.

     However.   This particular ouvre de arte politique is done by people of very, very high credential.   The director is John Sullivan who brought "Schindler's List" to the screen.

A Few Political Realities

Undisciplined hunting dogs, howling and yelping, pulling at leashes.   They know it all.   They are ready to go.  They are in the field.   Their handlers are drinking a lot of beer before the hunt.   The dogs are barking, howling, and yelping....then they break their leashes and bolt into the field.

     Three hours later, the last dog is found, mired in the mud and muck of the swampy, duck hunting spot.  Two have been bitten by water moccasins.  One chased down a possum and had his tongue bitten so bad he'll have to go the vet.   It was a disaster.

     The undisciplined hunting dogs are the political analysts, pollsters, and membres de reportage of the America media.    These comments do not refer only to the ridiculous observations and conclusions made by those great thinkers who were lamenting or celebrating the polls showing Obama winning in a landslide.    There are others who blabber forth about the "Hispanic vote" until the power grid browns out.

     We would like to quickly cover both points.   This will arm the reader with ready ammunition to bring any blowhard to a quick end when he is bloviating about "the polls" and/or the "Hispanic vote".

 

     (1)     There is not so much as  from five to eight percent of the overall voter turnout for November that has not made a determination concerning how they are going to vote.   Shifting, pro or con, or up or down, the 92 to 95 percent of the electorate that actually will vote in November will be slight.   Those who have not decided will probably not vote, or they will vote for the challenger, if previous patterns guide us correctly.
     Forty-two percent of the probable voters are mentally deficient, or committed marxists, or on the dole, or feel like victims, or hate anyone who has the least little thing more about which he/she can be jealous and resentful, or have been given a pack of cigarettes by a New Acorn community organiser outside the shelter to vote to-day, or are dull, thuggish, self-entitled, labour union dunces. These are the people with no souls and/or with battery acid for blood.    Many are mean hags who just hate men.....and pretty women....and people who smoke....and people who smile.
      About forty-nine percent of this cycle's voters are people who asked themselves, "What is best for the country and my children and grandchildren?"   They will vote even to override their self-interest.   They are people with souls.
       If the people who have souls and who do not throw pampers out into the parking lot all go out to vote, then this election is all over, right now....done....stick a fork in it.



      (2)      There are four States wherein are found a majority of "Hispanics" in the United States.    They are California, Texas, New York, and Florida.   The Electoral College votes of the first three are already determined.  Every "Hispanic" in those States can vote or not vote, and it will not affect the result of how those States are going to tally their Electors in the Electoral College.    California is an insane asylum, and they hate people who hate homosexuals and crippled Eskimoes, so they will vote Democrat.   If not one "Hispanic" votes or if they all vote, it will not change California's Electoral College vote.  It all goes National Socialist Democrat.
      New York, aside from many nice and noble stretches and places, is the hell-hole of the teeming masses and the politically correct zombies patrolling every corner of the State.  It does not matter a whit how the "Hispanic" voter votes or does not vote in New York.   The State is destined, like any State in full decline, to send all of its electors to the Electoral College to vote for the National Socialist Democrat Party.
      The Republic of Texas, which is a place where considerable normalcy still takes place, has about one-fourth of its population within the "Hispanic" group.   It does not matter if all qualified "Hispanics" vote, or do not vote, the Electors Texas sends to the Electoral College will all vote for Romney/Ryan.    THIS DOES NOT EVEN CONSIDER THE FACT THAT, IN TEXAS, 40 TO 50 PERCENT OF "HISPANICS" IN TEXAS WILL VOTE FOR THE ROMNEY/RYAN TICKET.

      Only in the State of Florida is there any sense that the "Hispanic" vote will have some bearing on an the Electoral College delegation.   But even there we have the situation that since all "Hispanics" are exactly the same, they are also, of course, completely different.   Generally speaking the "Hispanics" of Cuban background will tend to vote 70/30 for Romney/Ryan and the "Hispanics"  of Mexican and other Latin American  origin will vote about 65/35 for Obama.   There are more Cubans in the "Hispanic" mix, and they will tend to vote more heavily, while the other "Hispanics" will tend to vote in lesser ratio as part of their whole.    In Texas, for instance, the Mexican Americans in the southern tip of Texas turn out with slightly less than 25 percent of those registered.   Across the Rio Grande, during the last presidentials in Mexico, "real live" Mexicans turned out at a 65% rate.    Latins in the dispersed population in Texas tend to vote in the same percentage as the universe of voters in the rest of Republic of Texas, around 60 to 70 percent.

      So, while it is a noble thing to vote, and perhaps all people who are legally registered should vote, in this case the "Hispanic" vote is almost moot.   In New Mexico, the large Spanish/Mexican ancestry cohort swirls and mixes its vote;  reference the female, Republican, Spanish/Mexican ancestry governor.   She will be addressing the Republican Convention in a couple of weeks.  The Arizona situation is similar to Texas in terms of percentages, and many, many of the Latins tend to vote unpredictably, frequently Republican....as does the Nevada situation.   Ditto, Colorado...where, as in all the other named and un-named States, the rule is "Hispanics" on welfare and public assistance vote Democrat, and "Hispanics" not on welfare or public assistance tend to vote Republican.   Imagine that.
     The real problem is to convince the really intellectually challenged Geezers  that Romney and Ryan are not going to "take away" their Medicare and Social Security.   Sixty percent of the Geezers already understand the Ryan proposal and they favour it.   We need to convince the other forty percent to either vote correctly or, failing that, remind them to vote on Wednesday, the 7th.   This concerns especially the State of Florida, although we should be able to hold 99% of The Villages population and similar clusters (which are many) in Florida.    At this point Florida can be carried with just normal hard work and voter mobilisation.

Why we need to follow Rasmussen

For those who might have been confused by El Gringo Viejo's ramblings about the polls and the ins and outs concerning polling, we'll just serve this up so that our readership will be a bit more comfitted.

     This does not excuse anyone from making and 10 - 100 dollar credit card contribution and making sure that all of our people turn out to vote for a couple of soft-liberal Republican "conservatives".   It is critical to remove the marxist stench from the White House.  It still has that strange gulagish scent from the 1993 - 2000 period.

     We do feel that Ryan's big-government solution to the Medicare mess might, in fact, be the best method to take away the issue for all times from the National Socialist Democrats.   It will essentially personalise and privatise the issue, making each person the owner of his account instead of having to depend upon any future Father O'bamaham to "give us our health care".   By the year 2025 the whole program will be transformed into a portable and self-owned "policy" instead of an "entitlement".   That is where I have always wanted both Medicare and Social Security to go.   Private, numbered, individually held accounts, each with a number of fairly conservative alternatives that will permit the monies to grow and be passed on in the event it is not used.

     So, while my preferences are not wholly requited, this is a situation that suggests that 95% of a loaf is better than no loaf at all.   Liberal/moderate Republicans who are on a slighly rightward road to Damascus are 5,430 times better than what we have right now.   Plus, an argument and bargaining session between all manners of Republicans....rightwing crazies, tea party, liberals, country-clubbers, and the like....will result in something like an A- solution.   If we control the House, Senate, and 1600 Pennsylvania....the Nation's interest will be better served.

Once again, for the president, this is catastrophic
