A Bit of Evidence to Back Up Our View of the Border, Trafficking, Reality, and the Press

     El Gringo Viejo bangs his head against various walls trying to answer questions put forward by people who think they want to know something about Mexico.   For the most part, general information circulating around in Mr. Roger's neighbourhood  from "official" and/or Obsolete Press sources is almost always partially correct.

 

   The article below comes from AM Radio KURV - 710 here on the border.  It speaks the truth about an occurrence and also leaves much on the table from which one can construct other good conclusions.
 

The most recent leader of the Gulf Cartel, who was arrested in the Rio Grande Valley three months ago, has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking and money laundering charges. Juan Francisco Saenz Tamez signed off on the plea agreement Tuesday in Beaumont federal court — admitting to trafficking tons of marijuana and cocaine into the U-S, and hiding the illegal profits.  Federal drug investigators, who’d been tracking Saenz Tamez, were able to nab him, peacefully, at the Academy Sports and Outdoors store in Edinburg October 9th.  Investigators say the 23-year-old Saenz Tamez had taken over the leadership of the fractured Gulf Cartel just a few months before his arrest.  He is named in a more than year-old U-S indictment linking him to a large-scale international drug smuggling and trafficking operation.

 

     This individual really is (was) the Numero Uno for a couple of months....perhaps a bit more....rising up from the ranks quickly due to the losses being suffered by the Gulf syndicate.  Those losses began to become catastrophic during 2012 and 2013 due to confrontations with the Mexican Army and the Naval Infantry, along with almost continuous skirmishing with an equally diminishing ZETA group.

     As we have pointed out on several occasions in this publication, one of the reasons the Central American hordes came pouring up through Tamaulipas and into South Texas at the McAllen last year was because they could move through with little or no need for a "coyote".   The people who had been handling a large minority of illegal aliens from Central America 2 t0 4 years before had been the Gulf Cartel.

 

     We would like the OROG to consider the age of the "leader" of the Gulf organisation.   He was probably being allowed to cross back and forth from Mexico to Texas by various authorities on both sides of the Rio, all the while being monitored.   Saenz-Tamez's hubris bespeaks of his stupidity, inexperience, self-indulgence and any number of other tactical and strategic failures.

 

     But, as El Gringo Viejo has been pointing out for the past several months...perhaps a year now...the steady degradation of the old cartel structures by the Mexican Military does have a positive effect upon the culture and the civilisation.   A person of Saenz-Tamez's  age would have been found as a neighbourhood co-ordinator in Matamoros or Tampico.  Even then, he would have been closely supervised.  All the "old men" (28 -  45 years of age) are dead, horribly wounded, or in prison in the Texas or Mexico.  Fewer young men are coming into "the business" to replace them.  It is still not time to lessen the pressure, however.

 

     One other sign of the times?   As I drove back up last Sunday, about 30 miles south of Reynosa, there was a convoy of very high-end RVs and motorhomes heading south, probably to the Emerald Coast of central Vera Cruz or to a Guadalajara - Ajijic - Jojotepec winter stay.   Possibly, they could have been doing a "grand excursion" staying in ten or twelve different places before returning to the States in early March.   It was looking more like the old days, in that this convoy had about 40 units, all of them upper-middle to high-end.

They Carve Out Little Areas....and the rot seeps out....and into our children - II

     Continuing in the same vein as yesterday's posting, we look upon the great landfill of human history.....the massive government programming....the Five Year Plans, the collectivisation of Russian agricultural, the ejidofication of Mexican agriculture, the Great Leaps Forward, the Re-education Camps, Free Public Health Service, the Dole, the Unemployment Compensation, the concept of "paid leave", Social Security, "paid vacation", expressions such as, ".....and this is a free service, brought to you by the Ad Council, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Department of Health and Human Services."

 

     Madness.   Madness and rot.  It continues along the deep channels of the flow of cultural sludge that have carved grand canyons in to the soul of the body politic.

     The New York Times had a recent article that examined the tension between Jeb Bush and  Mitt Romney.   It substantially devolved into an analysis of the metamorphosis of Jeb Bush from a liberal Republican Country Club "regular fella'" into a progressive, more sophisticated thinker who understands now that the proletariat must be controlled every minute, hour, day, week, month, and for all the years of their miserable, stupid little insignificant lives.  For their own good of course.

     More of the rot is the zombie-like group-think hatred the elite, proper, and superior Republicans have for people like Ted Cruz.  They seem to be saying something akin to, "The nerve of any elected Republican to run on a certain platform and body of commitments and then to actually comply with his promises."

     We can and should always expect Democrats to lie.  We know that almost all Democrats are irrational, illogical, and schizophrenic.   But, should there not be a beacon...a lighthouse on the rocky coastline...in the form of a straightforward elected person's compliance with his publicly stated intentions?   Would such deportment serve to reinforce  the notion among the electorate that there is at least some honour and compliance still in existence?

     Rot is the act of proposing to have "tax reform" by adjusting the rate of taxation of productive people and of businesses, and "paying for it" by imposing fees, adjustments, and expense deduction prohibitions that essentially leave the citizen and the business where they were at the beginning of the bargaining session.   What is the point?   Is this kind of compromise what the people are clamouring for?  Pointless wheel-spinning?

     We watch this business about the assault on the French sensibility by the Moslem radical terrorists.   Fox News spends hours damning Obama because Obama will not call Moslem radical terrorists, Moslem radical terrorists.  Almost all other television news operations call them everything from "activists" to "extremists" to "freedom fighters"....depending on the analyst speaking.   The point is, it is all gibberish.  It is all rot.

     The French and the other Europeans invited the Moslems upon themselves.  They knew that the Moslems were an inferior group.  At least that is the way almost all Europeans regarded the Moslems...whether Algerian, Libyan and the other colonials or commonwealth people, or the ghastly Turks.   My opinion of the Mohammedans is not important.   What we describe here is the general opinion that the average European had, has, and will continue to have about the people who are Moslems or who come from Islam-dominant areas. 

     The Mohammedans came into the European area mainly during the period of the recovery and industrial re-establishment of European business shortly after World War II.  Falling birth rates, typical among socialist, previously Christian Europe created labour shortages.  In the Islamic regions there was very little produced beyond oil and babies.   So as water seeks its own level, the populations seek balance, employment, labour, and a place to live and make a living.   We finally arrived at the point where, like in France, Muslims were found to be living in the socialist little boxes housing projects;  isolated, angry, mean, relegated to the lower level that the European expected them to accept.

     Because of their own indolence, rapid adaptation to life on the socialist dole, including "free housing", unemployment compensation, "free" walking around money, and abundant criminal and corruption opportunities, the Muslims prospered in their poverty.    They would  practice a form of recreation and celebration of their holidays by burning up garbage bins and automobiles and rioting occasionally.  They would actively avoid assimilation because of their hatred for their hosts, as would their hosts despise the indolence and filth of their guests.   It was a match made in socialist and Muslim heaven, or hell, depending upon one's point of view.

     Then comes the assaults by the Moslem cold-blooded murderers, extracting a bit of satisfaction for having been subjected to being despised and suspected of being soulless, indolent criminals and murderers.   Part of it is reprisal for the Europeans thinking that Islam is a pseudo-religion that preaches hate, murder, thieving, brutality against women and girls, and that requires its members to steal, murder, and practice sloth and live in filth.   A marriage made in Hell and expressed by gross depictions of the Great Prophet of that religion and the gross deportment of the member of the members of that Great Prophet's religion.

     It is all rot.   The Europeans are rot.   Even after the senseless murders and the Great March of Solidarity in Paris the day before yesterday, Germany's Merkel returns to Germany to lecture the skin-head Nazis and other more reasonable Germans that they are terrible people for thinking that the Muslims are bad people.  She declares that people in her own Conservative Party make her ashamed of her own party...shame, shame, shame.

     Such is the schizophrenia among the pseudo-conservatives....who truly are simply a weaker group of socialists.  But the entire body politic of France, Germany, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Hungary and most of the European Economic Community are that way....they hate and despise the Muslims and the Jews....it is just what they do....hate Jews...and when they run out of Jews, they hate Muslims....sometimes there are enough of both that they can hate both of them at the same time.   Failing that, they hate Americans.

FOX News spends 30 hours per day during the past two days pointing out that Mohamma bin Bama did not go to Paris to "march in solidarity" with the people of Paris and France...not Barry, not Good Ole Joe Biden, not Michelle, not the Great Counsellor Eric (the Red) Holder, who was there, but not really "there", nor even Hermann Munster the Vietnam Veteran who speaks French.

     What did they expect?  Has Roger Ailes ever allowed his news crew to point out anything about Barry's Auntie Zietuni (RIP) and Uncle Omar living on the taxpayers' dime for a total of 40 years in Massachusetts?   Has FOX News ever pointed out that Jeremiah Wright notwithstanding, Barry's best man at his wedding was his half-brother....an Egypto-Kenyan, extreme radical Muslim Imam, essentially a chaplain in service to the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.  It gets worse...but why try?   The simple point is, expressing solidarity to France about something like a little bit of mass murder by people who had legitimate grievances is not one of Barry's strong suits.

     Now, if there had been a cutie-pie, blond prime-ministress there in the Solidarity March of Pointlessness to play "Let's do Selfies While Michelle Scowls" , then Barry might have foregone the NFL Playoffs being aired right then.  Remember one of Barry's great quotes, "I don't do photo-ops".

It is all rot.   Putrid decay.  The final fruits of Progressive governance and priorities leading us finally to the Brave New World, next door to the Planet of the Apes....over there by the Soylent Green Factory.

     The rot of the barbarians is seen as something beautiful by the elites.  It is tolerated and studied.  It is evaluated as inspired and forward thinking.  One can remember the statement by Nancy Pelosi when she intoned, "....these young people (the Occupy Wall Streeters) are doing God's work..".   We might have told Mrs. Pelosi that she might have been using or taking the Lord's generic name in vain.

 

     The foot-holds that the barely functionally deranged gain within the ranks of the normal settle in and begin the steady degradation of the normalcy by seducing their young away from reason by the repetition of nice sounding platitudes;  We are all the same basically.   Children and animals have rights just like anybody, don't you agree?  It is all seductive quicksand and quickmud.

     But, asking the Cosmos,  El Gringo Viejo wants to know, why does the national and international press not tell the whole story about the Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico matter?   A ball of deranged leftist hypocrites sets about robbing the treasury, setting up totally falsely-founded "Government Normal Schools", establish a locally corrupt and mafia-formatted police force, and fall upon each other in such ways so as to make the Roman Senate look like a support group for PTSD people.

     The matter has been pointed out as something that represents Mexican governmental dysfunction, while at the same time not pointing out that the area has been essentially dysfunctional since the time before the Spanish arrived.

     Now enters one of the very most wealthy men in the world.  He is worth, directly and indirectly, up to 100,000,000,000 (one hundred billion) USD.   Carlos Slim, according to all who know him, is a nice guy....Sam Waltonesque...really rich...acts humbly and sincerely....and in El Gringo Viejo's 0pinion, methinks it true.

     Carlos has also always been a flack for the PRI (Mexico's long-time centre-left, paternalistic semi-socialist dominate party until very recently).   When he was a common, pretty much self-made millionaire he befriended and was befriended by the better angels of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, who became a surprise conservative reformer after his election to the presidency of Mexico as a moderate leftist to counter-balance his predecessor, the conservative Miquel de la Madrid Hurtado.

     As Carlos edged further to the right, he proposed and put into effect

legislation before Congress that would essentially privatise the government telephone monopoly, Telefonos de Mexico.   The company was owned 75% by the Mexican people (re: government), 15% by Southwest Bell Telephone of Texas (USA), and Alcatel, a French concern that was and is respected as a technology innovator.

     The legislation was passed by the Congress and the President signed and put into motion, rapidly, the sale to any and all bidders of the Mexican portion of the shares of stock in Telefonos.   One bidder won, and was awarded essentially 2 billion USD in Telefonos stock.  As days went by, the monopoly moved ahead with better service, modernisation measures, and essentially brought the operation into the real world of communication.  The stock soared, with heavy buying pressure of TELMEX adr's, especially from the United States private sector.

     During all this time, Carlos Slim made the same kind of decisions....conservative, almost in public, and truly wise...that launched not only prosperity and real alternatives, but also of interest, competition for the burgeoning Mexican market.

    Enter the last three year episode of roiling and boiling  violence, literally under the radar of the international press.  That entity was more concerned about "drug cartels" and racism and American imperialism and generally evil construct.  The issues surrounding the political and cultural collapse of Chilpancingo, Iguala, and almost everything about the State of Guerrero save for Acapulco and a very few and far between beach spots on the Pacific.

     Almost 240,000 children, by this observer's estimate, are being "taught" in primary schools where they learn little more than Marxism and anti-Americanism.  They also learn hatred for the bourgeoisie of Mexico....and anything associated with private property and wealth among private individuals, no matter how small that amount might be.  With the probable deaths of 43 "students" from one of the "Normal Colleges". accomplished by people within the same corruption orbit, all nature of blame was placed at the feet of the present President of Mexico.  He had nothing to do with any of it....but the press and the left have whipped up such a dither among the "intellectual left" and the "marginalised", that finally Carlos Slim enters the picture.

     His solution?   It's the dream of every Sharpton-type thug and shake-down artiste.  Carlos Slim has been offering and most of the parents accepting (all whom have been contacted by this point) what is reported to be either 250,000 or 500,000 Mexican pesos per child thought to be "not returning".   For all the wailing, moaning, and gnashing of teeth, and tearing of clothes while sitting in the ashes....the parents were willing to desecrate the memory and honour of their children for a few pieces of silver.   All of that silver will be spent in drunkenness and other forms of debauchery before two years is out.

     What is not blotted up from the bottom of a bottle or spent on public women will be extorted by the pseudo-professors of the pseudo-Normal school.

     And it might even buy a little time for Pen~a Nieto to continue on with his privatisation initiatives.

     Going on with the rot.   We have this continuing thing of a president of the United States of America refusing to govern and to simply and only campaign.   Refusing to govern...and only campaign.   His refusal to say the following says volumes; "We must admit that of all the Abrahamic Religions, presently only Ishmaelites have a huge portion openly dedicated to murder of innocents, of homosexuals, of accused adulteresses, of Jews and Judaism, of Christians and Christianity, and of non-believers.  This way of thought was antiquated long ago.  It has been employed at various times and various places, but nowhere and at no time as severely as what we now endure."

   Father Obamaham could even have revealed to the low information voters and followers of the Church of Global Climate Warming and Cooling and Staying the Same, that only the Communist / Socialist movements in their various combinations have killed more.   This is very true,  especially as a percentage of the living population at the time of the killing.
   One wonders how  Stalin, Ho, Pot, Mao, Hitler, Castro, and the like....could rack up 100,000,000 of their own and other nationalities in such a short time?  But of course it was their wars, pogroms, collectivisation, final solutions, purification,   intrigues....all fun and games for commies and their brothers and cousins.

 

     But, alas and aleck!!  Barry the Boy Wonder suddenly proposes another "free goody" to the class of deserving victims who have not yet won the lottery.  As he went out and ordered a change to existing legislation by demanding that reverse-transgender-sexual dis-assignment regulation and modification procedures must be included in any insurance programmes authorised by the Central Government and Supreme Authority.  And that free add-on is applicable for children under the age of 225 living at home with their parents.....for free.

     Now comes "free junior and community college" for extraterrestrials and Sequoia Trees that are left-handed and everyone who can keep a C+ average.   Can El Gringo return to the Cliff overlooking the Sacred Canyon of the Yahoodi Tribe of Zoobadoonga and ask the Great Spirit, "Oh! Great Spirit, who will Pay for this new, beneficent programme?"  The government of Kenya?  Aunt Zietuni? Pocahontas Warren? Speak to us, Oh! Great Spirit of the Zoobadoonga."

     Will the money appear in the hoodies all hung on the 409 square inch flat-TV with care, in hopes that the Kwanza Bunny will soon be there?

 

Sheesh.  Perhaps Common Core will solve all the problems.  Jeb and Mitt and (Sir Edmund)Hillary and Huckabee all agree that we need the indoctrination system so as to make everyone more equal.  Perhaps that is the solution.

      We should be arriving down at our little mud hut in front of the Sierra Madre Oriental sometime around noon to-morrow.   Alvaro will be waiting impatiently because he wants to go down to his other stomping grounds in Xicotencatl, in the further southern part of the State. but he will call in nine days, perhaps ten, wondering if I have any problems or projects that need doing.   We give him a three weeks off or a month if he wishes, but he is a genuine workaholic and he has long since bonded with the Quinta Tesoro de la Sierra Madre.

     Rumour and evidence also point to the reasonable chance to have a restoration of our lazy pace of steady business that would really be rewarding for everybody concerned, including El Gringo Viejo.  We anticipate at least a courtesy visit from the return of the motorcycle group, absent for the past three and a half years.  There are other things percolating as well that might mean brushing up on my wardrobe and birding manuals.

     One thing that we could not do on this trip up to Texas is the finding of a re-circulating pump for a project we want to do.  We would like to put in a Japanese style, rough rock birdbath with continuously circulating water, dripping through the day.   But the best such pump that we could find was made for re-circulating 40 gallons per hour.   We need something that might re-circulate 40 gallons per year.   So we shall probably just build the rock part and elevate the huge terra cotta tray and continue to refill and clean it on a continuing basis, by hand.  Sometime soon, we should find a reasonable re-circulating pump and run the electrical and water lines to the tray.   The electrical wire and the conduits and piping we already have on hand.

     We are going to make every effort to get up off our duffs and go to the Estacion de Santa Engracia to make a few entries this time.  It is just that we are sooooooo Lazy!!  And the projects started in the morning lead quickly to sunset.   Please bear with us.

    If Jos. A. Banks thinks that El Gringo Viejo thinks that by buying one suit for 250.00 USD that somehow I will receive three FREE!!, then Mr. Banks is a fool for not being able to perceive that I am not a fool.   If this is the pricing technique of Jos. A. Banks or whatever his name is, then apparently he is over-pricing his product.   It is time to look into the marketing and mercadotecnica divisions of the company.

    Anything that is included for "free" is not free if something must be purchased in order to access the supposedly "free" thing(s).   This is clear evidence of the American public being dumbed down to the point that critical thinking is a function of an ever decreasing cohort of the population.

     This is a fact that carries over into the body politic.   The general body is still capable of succumbing to the notion that the Obsolete Press should be in charge of "helping" us narrow down the selections we might have for election contests.  We noticed how the Democrats howled and rolled on the ground laughing at the "hopelessly out of her league" Witch of Delaware back in 2010.  We remember when even the "correct class" of Republicans were quick to point out that she had "IRS problems" and that she was "not ready for prime time".   So, the people elected a dolt who needs an alarm clock to ring so that he can remember to breathe.....who is a Democrat, of course.

    Now we are being told that Jeb Bush is a "real conservative" and that (Sir Edmund) Hillary is a "moderate" who is connected to the Wall Street Moneypeople.   That's it!!  Let's move on.
    One tired in early 2007, after listening to Barry Soetoro string together a 26 minute assembly of focus group phrases, aimed at reality show patrons and single women aged 19 to 31 who had been told from their earliest days that they were and are "equal".  (Sir Edmund) Hillary had been doing that for 40 years, already, steadily lying her way into every known blind alley and having the Obsolete Press explain the lies and dead bodies and Billy Blunders away as if they were something that just happens.

     The idea that (Sir Edmund) Hillary is a "moderate" (whatever that means) flies in the face of the known facts that she was, is, and always has been a strike-force, anti-American, marxist.   The idea that Jeb Bush is a "conservative" would mean that we would have to believe as well that GHW Bush and GW Bush were also conservatives.   The fact is that all three were and are a form of progressive;   each is a big-government advocate, and each believes that we can apply certain basic business techniques and somehow solve the problems that the New Deal, Square Deal, New Frontier, and Great Society programmes gave us.  To wit:

      Multigenerational welfare dependency.  Total life-subsidy for people aged 17 - 60 for housing, food, medical intervention, electricity, telephone, kindergarten, amounting now to about one third of the population.   The driving out of any Cosmic Supreme Being's presence from the public forum.  The establishment of ever increasing numbers of agencies, bureaus, secretariats of various pointless portfolios.  The subjugation of any local or State prerogatives to central government's demands, regulations, and guidelines.   The "conservative" George W. Bush gave us Chief Justice Mr. Liberal Mayonnaise and PharmaGeezer....AARP endorsed!!

     We have the choice of focus groups.   The first is Dolts who Drool and regurgitate Peter Jennings phrases as though they are original and profound thought.   They are the average, normal Democrat voters.
    The second is another group of informal focus groupers who sit around in the pleasant precincts of the 19th Hole Saloon at the correct El Snootzy Country Club and talk about being fiscally conservative and "reasonable" about social issues.  Of course, they are neither fiscally conservative nor "reasonable" about social issues.

     The guys at the 19th Hole Saloon nod wisely and hone in on that old standby...."We need someone who can appeal to the moderates, because we can't be too far to the left or too far to the Extreme Right   If we don't carry the independents the Democrat base will eat our lunch."
    They nod wisely again and recall the good old days when a piece of white-trash from Arkansas defeated a seated President who had just won and war and had a rebounding economic outlook in 1992.  But of course, that was corrected when another moderate Republican, a war hero, lost when a proven liar and very self-indulgent low-life, anti-military, pro-communist, draft dodger ran against him in 1996.   Those who nominated Senator Dole were inspired by the Whip-Inflation-Now (WIN) buttons that President Gerald Ford, a famous extreme moderate, lost in 1976 to a real dumbo liberal, James Earl Carter, by trying to be a better liberal than James Earl Carter.  For some reason, a lot of Republican voters had to restring their tennis raquets on election day.  Others had to Brasso the doorknobs in the basement.  Others forgot to vote.   Others said things that cannot be published in this family-oriented blog-site.

     After about the third round of martinis and the usual agreement about how "we have to pass a path to citizenship for the illegal aliens or we'll lose the Hispanic vote for sure,"  there is a lull.  Silence embroideries the echoes of the conversation.   Finally, one of the Wise Ones of the 19th Hole Saloon of the El Snootsy Country Club.....all of them from Ivy League schools and fraternities and exclusive clubs like the Cross-dressing Skulls and Boney-Maroney Klavern are thinking.  "Buy one suit and get three more free.  Have you guys ever thought about that?"

     "Yeah, now that you think about it, it really doesn't make any sense.  Something's wrong with their pricing system"

     "Yeah, like the only time our guys win is when they follow Ronald Reagan's two terms, or when one of us campaigns like a right-wing crazy, Tea Party nutter."

      Silence returns to the darkened 19th Hole Saloon.  Scowls abound.  Finally one guy says, ".....then we really do think Vince Foster didn't commit suicide, but we just can't say what we think and still be moderates. Right?"

    El Zorro, or Tech Sergeant Hathorn, USAF retired, combat veteran, Viet Nam,  two tours, and therefore a qualified commentator on any forum, but especially this one has uncovered what is a veritable trove of quiet photographs that speak their 1,000 words and more.  Some were posted yesterday, and a couple had trouble changing from one place to another.  Little problem.  Here are a couple more, perhaps even a bit more salient.  To wit:

Comments by Westerners about the women and people in general
in Afghanistan and Persia (Iran) was about their comeliness and
native intelligence.   That was back in the 1940s and 1950s.

Fidel's expression seems to speak of a possibility that he

was just another dufus, stoned on marijuana.  Malcolm
Little, aka: EL Hajj Malik El Shabazz, or Malcolm X to
his friends, seems puzzled by the White Devil.  It seems
 that he can speak English, after all.   Malcolm X was also
just a regular grand-dad.  His grandson burned down
Malcolm X's widow's house, with her eventually dying
of her injuries after three weeks in a coma.  That boy
was later murdered in a row between homosexual gangs
in Mexico City, where the boy was living.  No body came
to recover his body...until finally the Mexican central
government found an aunt who would take it in New
York City, at the family's estate.  Just a bunch of
regular folks....a murderous dictator and a deranged
"muslim" leader mired in murder and all sorts of
violence.  Duck Dynasty, but different in a way?
