A Laundry List of Brief Observations

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Insurance Companies:
     This goes pretty much to the insurance companies and the United States Chamber of Commerce.   It is you all...and each of you...who fund the campaign chests of the RINO Republicans.   It is you....and each of you....who think it necessary to defame people you deign to be more common than yourselves.
     The notion that you can on the one hand stand in line to support and assist the establishment of the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative (OSMI) and on the other hand purport to be in favour of free enterprise and capitalism is insulting and repulsive to those of us you so readily scorn.
     Your notion that you can control a deranged socialist is almost scripted from the reaction by the Ruhr Valley Capitalists and the Conservatives in the Bundestag during the early 1930s.  Word for word, act by act, and with luck, you will be taken to a more comfortable work camp when your time comes.
      When this horrid semi-nationalisation of the medical industry collapses in a couple of years, the masses will cry out for more "free medical care".   You in the National Chamber of Commerce and the participating Insurance Carrier group will tell the central government that you need further subsidies of "free money" because you are losing so much money on the no-pays and other dead-beats that you can no longer afford to underwrite the "free medical care" for the parasitical class of low-information and low-intelligence breeders.   You will ask for your "reasonable recompense" and you will receive it.   You will be Chryslered and GeneralMotored.
     All the "exploiters and profiteers" will have their interests expropriated and the insurance companies will cease to exist.   They will be equated to the anachronisms such as Plantations and Slavery, sweat-shop labour, and all forms of indentured abuse against the impoverished.   The central government will put itself in charge of the who, what, when, where, and how the health of each person.   Who lives, who dies, who births, who aborts, and who gets to contribute reproduction material into the pool to build the brave new world.
    To believe differently from the above, one must assume that all the company of the marxist choir presently ruling the popular culture and the central government are one slight degree above mentally retarded.   No one, no agency, no grouping of people could possibly build a government so hopelessly vile and dysfunctional....foreign policy, domestic policy, running guns policy, losing wars already-won policy, save for being hopelessly stupid and/or ignorant.  The purposeful avoidance of business or true administrative or management experience by Barry Soetoro and his cadre of marxist ghouls could explain some of this earthquake cum trainwreck.   But it is our opinion here that it is a combination of arrogance, intention, stupidity, inexperience, and a hatred of good order and morality, and of course, privately held firearms.
    This government has no life experience beyond wanting to control every breathe, every sip, every act, and every thought of everyone within the cast of anyone inside this horrid government presently ensconced in Washington, D.C.
     This is the legacy of the collusion by the health insurance industry with the National Socialist Democrat Workers' Party.   The health insurance industry wanted to play the populace as fools and to run free government money through them and into the coffers of the health insurance industry in a back-door scheme that would allow the central government to guarantee a profit to the private health insurance companies.   Nice racket.
   But, the government needs only to wait for the system to break down, which it will, and then wait for the "poor and huddled masses"  to demand the Nationalisation of the insurance companies and the provision of "free medical care" to said "poor and huddled masses".
    Then we shall see whom AARP will push as an insurer for a geezer and/or free medical care insurance programme.
   And the insurance company magnates?  Where will the line be drawn between the veterinarian clinics (humans accepted after hours), and the grands and swells who were poobahs playing golf with Barry and the social engineers a few years ago?
   Will all the Lear Jets be confiscated as well?   We wouldn't want anyone flying to Cuba to receive real quality care from Dr. Elian Gonzalez at the Michael Moore Memorial Hospital in Camaguey....or the Janet Reno Memorial Hospital on the grounds of the old Guantanamo Naval Base.
So....no,no,no,no,no Sen~or, this is not your floor-mat sign-nailer, phone-banker, small donor to the RNC any more....no mas, no mas.  No RNC, and no back-and-front-stabbing National Chamber of Commerce, no reasonable Republicans reaching across the aisle to debate the length of rope the commies will use to hang the small business people, the minor millionaires, the educated, the independent, non-union,  skilled blue-collar, the cowboys and saddle-tramps who live in their own, self-sufficient world.   You, the RINOs might note that Barry Soetoro has had to do what Ted Cruz and Bill Lee were trying to get the team on board for a few months back.   You people fought them and aided the Democrat marxists in defaming those gentlemen as "hostage takers, terrorists, talibanis, unreasonable, etc."   Look who is laughing at you now.
John Roberts:
     And we turn to the most useless personality in recent history, the dishonourable Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, John Roberts.  What a disappointment.  And, yes we recognise the understatement as we use the word disappointment.   George Bush's appointment of this man was right up there with the Free Pills for Geezers, the paving of the path for the establishment of TARP, TRAP, BARF, and SPLAT programmes, and failing to pardon Scooter Libby.   His abandonment of governance during the last 5 months of his term was a dereliction of duty worthy of any hootsy-tootsy, country-club, progressive pseudo-conservative.
     Please do not even begin to get El Gringo Viejo started on the utter lack of     willingness to fight back, defend oneself, to call out and call down verminous  slugs in the Democrat choir....people like Pelosi, Schumer, and Frank...to name a few of the many reptilian-Americans.
    But John Roberts....Mon Dieu!   How could a guy who seemed to be too normal to be on the Lawrence Welk Show wind up being the spawn of Lucifer and the great-grandson of both Karl Marx and Frederick Engle?   It has been said in every low and high-brow place where reasonable people of reason speak, one with the other, "What did Hillary and/or the Chicago machine have on John Roberts?"
File:James a pike.jpg
Totally deranged Episcopal
Bishop John Pike
    There is not the least possible manner by which Roberts could have arrived at such an absurd conclusion or decision so as to vote to approve the constitutionality of the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative.   Was he smoking crack and meth and talking to the leadership counsellors in Pyongyang?
    Was he reading the divine words of Bishop Pike, vicar of God is Dead Church - Episcopal?  I mean....where could such a thought come from if John Roberts were truly a believer in common law, natural law, and the Constitution.   Did Karl Rove vet this fellow's  with the caseworker at the Shady Farms Rest Village before recommending Roberts to King George the Second?
TEXAS NATIONALIST MOVEMENT:
     Then, we are hopeful that the OROGs studied the wild and dangerous "5 wishes" the Texas Nationalists made when they threw their three coins in the fountain.   We wish to underscore the fact that during recent scientific polling efforts a majority of Texians are willing to check the box "Independence" when given a cluster of five relationships the Texas "might ought t' have" with the United States of America.
Brief and Pleasant Visit and reflexions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The old homestead home, built by
our neighbour's grandfather in
the mid-1930s on the grounds
of the Hacienda de La Vega
     During the past few days we were treated to a visit from our the neighbour of the Quinta Tesoro de la Sierra Madre,  the owner of the Hacienda de La Vega (view on website for the Quinta).   He and his wife and son were up in the Rio Grande Valley area, visiting relatives and doing what most of the middle and upper financial grouping in Mexico either does or wants to do....shop in McAllen or the Lower Rio Grande Valley.   The parking lots of almost every middling to up-scaler shopping area in this part of Texas are full of vehicles with Mexican license plates.
     South Padre Island is full, as well, of island dwellers.  Playa de Carmen, CanCun, Ixtapa, Mazatlan, Puerto Pen~asco, Los Cabos...and a hundred other well known and lesser known spots are full of Gringos and other foreigners.   And South Padre Island, where the southernmost part of Texas meets the Gulf of Mexico, is full of people from San Pedro de Garza Garcia....the "rich city" of the Monterrey metroplex.   Other well-heeled Mexicans go there during any extended Holidays, and during the Summer period.   About a third of all the real-estate in the developable part of South Padre Island is owned by Mexican "old money"....a term that carries considerable positive value in these times.

     In spite of slightly less than perfect weather, the crowds have been ample, the stores full, and the bars and restaurants from the standard first class to the ultra deluxe have been full.    It is not quite like the Titanic speeding through the iceberg fields of the North Atlantic, because the Mexican economy and general situation is much better than four or five years ago.   Pen~a Nieto and the PRI (centrist) party can take credit for winning a war that essentially began to be won by the previous administration.   Pen~a Nieto can also take credit for passing the very needed reforms of the economic development of the energy sector of Mexico, and for the take-down of the horrid hag Gordillo from her ivory tower of corruption as head of the National Teachers' Union.
     Other reforms have been made, as promised, and the Mexican situation is, by any measure, performing pretty well.  The only failing, in the opinion of any Milton Freedman acolyte, is the insistence by the present administration in making everybody "pay his/her fair share".   So, the upper levels of the tax bracket will have to dig significantly deeper during the coming fiscal year.   Already, although the leftists hate for us to use this obvious fact and statistic, the wealthiest 10% of all Mexicans pay 80% of the central government income taxes.  Those paying 99% of the Mexican income tax load are found within the top 25% of what are called in the euphemistic Mexican governmentese "contribuyentes"(contributors), as if there is a choice.
     And all should be aware that Mexico's central government also has a 16% sales tax, nationally.   It was recently uniformised to include the frontier with the United States where the various American States sales taxes are much lower.   For many years the Mexican counties in Mexican States bordering the United States were allowed to have a federal sales tax rate of 11%, so as to tamp down, at least a bit, the impulse to cross the border to buy something.  The Republic of Texas, with no income tax, does considerable revenue collection based upon an 8% sales tax, with a 0.25% local option aggregation.

     So, nominally and theoretically, a buyer along the Mexican frontier can save an automatic 8% on a purchase in McAllen, from a purchase in Reynosa across the border.   Much depends upon how long a person wants to rot in a bridge line in order to save a buck or two....the bridge fares roundtrip are now around 6.00 am. cur. and waits of 30 minutes to an hour are common coming into the Republic of Texas.   Going into Mexico is more efficient because they use a Russian Roulette form of inspection, along with reasonable profiling.   The American side uses the useless process of handling each individual personally, and each vehicle and all occupants personally.
     It has long been the opinion of almost any reasonable observer that the huge lines could be alleviated by dogs, literally, and by machine validation via fingerprint identifier or similar technology.  It is no secret to the commonly informed that the best ID functioning right now is the Mexican Voter's Registration...with 13 identifying elements and very advanced encryption.  It could be processed along with a card American Visa in fractions of a second.
     As it is right now, for instance, El Gringo Viejo can cancel a temporary importation permit for his vehicle a this second, and at the next second apply for another one and have the whole deal done in seconds...registered in Mexico City, and done.   That is the kind of technology the Mexicans have in force and operating right now.
     Our own manpower is badly deployed, and perhaps should be militarised, although my faith in the military of the United States after these last four or five years of active degradation leaves me wondering.    Will the powers that be ever  allow American Armed Forces  to win wars and military actions.  Like Viet Nam we seem to win a war only to leave the Victory to sour and be lost by marxist, American-hating politicians.   The stand-downs in Iraq and Afghanistan are glaring examples...and our foreign policy alliances with the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood also show a lack of reason at the highest levels.   Border security is certainly not any priority with this crowd...not in the least.   Spend money, pat oneself on the back, and turn away....Not a very good policy structure, unless, of course, the intent is to allow the Republic to be penetrated by prevaricators, saboteurs, seditionists, and parasites.

     We pass along this evening the seditious recommendations made by our friends  at the Texas Nationalist Movement.   The cold chill that reasonable people have, tingling up their spine and soul and brain, that somehow a "reasonable compromise" will be made to resuscitate the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative (OSMI).   Reasonable, mature, and moderate Republicans can save this legislation.   With their simple act of reaching across the aisle they can make America Safe for Mediocrity and Bondage.  And they can feel good about having paid for Miss Flukie's birth control devices and medications with my granddaughters' money.   If the winds are blowing in that particular direction when the time comes to repeal and rescind, we shall have the bumbling moderates stumble forth to address the Obsolete Medias' microphones to say,"This is not the fight we need to spend our political capital on.   We need to wait until the really important vote to authorise the 45 trillion dollar debt ceiling, which is very necessary because if we don't approve that debt ceiling, the Hispanics and the Emperor of Japan,  and the Professionally Unemployed for Disability Payments Now people will not like us."

    So, El Gringo Viejo continues to help get the word out about our radical, really weird group of strange people who are afflicted with a disorder that is gradually in remission throughout the American Republic.   It is still very common in Texas, however.

THE TEXAS NATIONALIST MOVEMENT LEGISLATIVE OFFICIAL WISH LIST:
In 2014, the movement would like to enact and make possible the following measures through legislation in the Congress of the Republic of Texas  -

____________________________________

THE TEXAS NATIONALIST MOVEMENT
    Obviously the Texas Nationalist Movement is fighting to have a referendum on Texas independence. And the piece of legislation to get that done is priority. However, there are some other things that we'd like to see the Texas Legislature get done that are squarely within our mission.
    Some are big and some seem not so big. Although there are some issues that catch our attention, like Open Carry, criminalizing TSA pat-downs, Border Security, and others, there are some issues that seem to get missed.
    And while we have a list longer than Guadalupe River, here are five that, while they may not seem like big deal to some folks, they hold a special place in our heart.

The establishment of a gold depository

     During the last session of the Legislature, an attempt was made to get some steam behind this effort. It was serious enough that it prompted the statist media to make fun of us for it. But the logic here is sound. Why keep Texas gold in non-Texas banks or depositories?
     Seems like a simple proposition when you realize that some of the larger banks, including the Federal Reserve, are having a hard time repatriating the foreign gold reserves that they supposedly had under lock-and-key. Countries like Germany have requested their gold and the Fed has resorted to delay tactics rather than giving them physical possession of the gold.
     Gold, even in this day and age, is a valuable store of wealth, not just for individuals, but also for States. Texas is no different.
This piece of legislation is critical to reestablishing our economic independence. The legislation has been drafted and introduced. It just needs to be passed.

The establishment of a State Bank

     This particular issue is one that can't seem to get any traction in Texas. Legislators won't look twice at it for fear of the banking lobby's wrath. But the establishment of a State Bank is really another no-brainer that can have a tremendous impact on our economic independence.
     What we are talking about here are not "State Chartered" banks. We've got that already. And maybe we're not even talking about an actual "State Bank". But let's look at the problem first and see what this means.
     Every day, government at every level in Texas takes in revenue. That revenue is then deposited into a bank. More often than not, that bank happens to be some non-Texas bank. The money then sits in those accounts earning money for the non-Texas bank and/or gets loaned out to non-Texas businesses and consumers. Or worse yet, it gets invested into risky investment schemes that make a back alley craps game look like church bingo.
      For years now, there has been a solution on the table. Marilyn Barnewall has been out preaching the gospel of State Banks and has pointed to a shining example - North Dakota.
North Dakota has had a State Bank for over 90 years.And rather than putting their deposits into some other bank, government revenue is placed into the State Bank. From there, the State can essentially do what the bank does. In focusing on loans to North Dakota business and industry and avoiding risky investment schemes, they have, in the midst of economic turmoil, generated surplus revenue allowing them to reduce taxes and create jobs.
     Imagine what Texas could do with it's massive economy with a State Bank.   The largest benefit of this, naturally, is pulling more money away from the Federal Reserve system and moving Texas toward economic independence.   Some things that could be done short of establishing a State Bank are available. Mandating that government revenue could only be deposited into State Chartered banks would be a start.

Sales tax exemption for the purchase

 of products manufactured in Texas

How would you like to see the return of manufacturing to Texas with unemployment hovering at ZERO? Yeah. Us, too.

Do you realize that it is virtually impossible to exclusively purchase products that are manufactured in Texas? Yeah. Us, too.

Tired of having to cut off the "Made In China" label when you give a gift?
Then let's prioritize products manufactured in Texas and, therefore, Texas businesses and Texas workers.

Texas already has sort of a start on this one with it's GoTexan program. It's a program that agricultural producers can sign up for that let's them label their food products with the GoTexan label. It certifies that the food product is grown in and produced in Texas. This is great, but since food is already tax-exempt, there is little to no incentive other than being die-hard Texas Nationalists.

However, extending this labeling to all products manufactured in Texas and extending tax-exemption to products with these labels, you create a financial incentive to manufacture in Texas, hire Texas workers and purchase Texas products.

I can live with 0% unemployment.

Allowing the sale of fireworks for

 Texas Independence Week

      This may not seem like a big deal in the scheme of things. But it is a travesty that you can buy fireworks to celebrate New Year's Day and the 4th of July, but not Texas Independence Day.
     Every year it seems that Texas Independence Day gets less and less attention. It comes and goes as though it were Columbus Day. Even Secretary's Day gets more play than Texas Independence Day.
      Apparently, there have been some attempts to get a bill passed to do this over the past few sessions, but it languishes and dies. And that's a shame because there are several fireworks manufacturers in Texas and Texas charities use fireworks stands as fundraisers.
Granted, fireworks for Texas Independence Day might not be a "sexy" issue, but it really is about reviving and preserving our culture and history.
     And, frankly, we won't be happy until we can fire off some Texas Twisters on March 2nd.

Requiring all elected officials to take a certification

 course on the Texas Constitution

 before they take office

      If we had a dollar for every elected official who, when faced with Article 1 Section 1 of the Texas Constitution, asked us, "What does that say?", we'd no longer have to charge membership dues.
     The unfortunate fact is that all Texas politicians take an oath to a constitution that most don't read or understand. Too many fall back on the ol' "I studied it in college" excuse. But for the Texas Nationalist Movement that doesn't cut it.
     In our organization, we require members to take a New Member Orientation where they learn the mission, vision and principles of Texas Nationalism. We require our leaders to take a Leadership course.
      If we can do this in a private organization, why should we expect any less out of elected officials? We shouldn't.
     What we would like to see is quite simple. Law enforcement officers are required to go to a police academy and receive a law enforcement certification before we turn them loose with a badge and a gun. We require citizens who carry a concealed handgun to take a class and get certified. Yet we hand over the sovereign power of the State to anyone who can fog a mirror and get enough votes.
     The principle is simple. If an elected official has not read nor can they comprehend the Texas Constitution, they cannot take an oath to it. Therefore, it is not out of line to require elected officials to take a small certification course on the Texas Constitution before they are allowed to take the oath of office.
      There is somewhat of a precedent for this. Constables who are elected have a limited number of days after their election to receive their peace officer certification.
We need a better breed of elected official. The proof - not one of them will see the wisdom in this proposal and file a bill to make it happen. We'll need Texas Nationalists in office to make that happen.

This too will pass....this too is passing. We shall strike the tent and cross the River.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Some quick notes about the events in Puerto Pen~asco, Sonora, Mexico.  The place is in that strange area between Sonora and Baja California, right on the Sea of Cortez, and not at all old, like we think of colonial Mexico.  Puerto Penasco (Port Rocky Point) was a place of renegade Indians, pirates, and skulduggerous American smugglers during the Prohibition.   In the 1930s the Railway of the Occident was completed, finally linking the Republic of Mexico to itself in terms of a connection between the main body of the nation with its peculiar, nation-sized peninsula....Baja California....also with almost no population at that time.
    Like the Baja, Puerto Pen~asco is a playground for well-to-do and young-at-heart geezers and geezerettes who live most of the time in and around southern Arizona and California.   Many Gringos live permanently to somewhat permanently in "Rocky Point"....as they do all along the Baja on the other side of the Sea of Cortez from Sonora State of Mexico.
     Finally, due to the dissolution of the rigid control once exercised by cartel bosses, "juniors"....pretentious younger, unqualified members of the cartel fight over territories and usually wind up killing each other...one killing another fellow member, from six weeks ago...six months ago, or killing bunches of one-time fellow lower-ranking cartel member(s).   These people are especially dangerous and out of control.
     Thankfully, almost all of their killing and shoot-'em-up escapades result in casualties for their own previous friends and/or small cells of degraded cartels' sub-divisions.   Such an event occurred recently in "Port Rocky Point", leaving 5 dead after a fairly lengthy shoot-out on the edge of the downtown area of this really nice little city.
File:Malecon puerto peñasco.jpg
Nice area around the downtown to beach and yachting
 and restaurant/bar district in the south of town.
Things are back to being safer in "Rocky Point":
than in Central City, USA again.
    With five cartel gunmen dead, and in spite of the fawning admiration the foreign press has for the noble cartel people who "always recover their dead and wounded" five mortally wounded and dead cartel members were found in the area of combat.   As usual, the cartel gunmen had sprayed everything, everywhere, without investing the least concern about other people or their property.   Luckily, no civilian, police, or military people were wounded.
    Now the point.   Not one, but two rifles pertaining to "Fast and Furious" were found.   This time there was no adding to the list of the Honoured, Lamented, and Heroic.   There were no children, women, semi-honest /honest police,  no Mexican Army soldiers, nor Naval Infantrymen wounded or killed in this encounter.   Military units did considerable engagement and rendering of casualties out west of town shortly after the original firefight.
     It seems now that the idea that we can kill five and only four replace those, seems to have been coming true.   These events slowly, steadily retreat from the daily and weekly scene.  Compass drawn circles demarcating zones of intense conflict and drawn with  shorter and shorter radii.
     Thank you so much for these events, Mr. Holder and Mr. Obama.  You are both treacherous liars whose lack of concern about the "rough edges" of the "phoney scandals" you cause with considerable regularity will earn you a well deserved place in Hell as accessories to murder before, during, and after the fact.
     We also notice that (Sir Edmund)Hillary did nothing to explain, ameliorate, or repair this situation...although she was the chief officer in terms of foreign relations.   Holder, Clinton, and Obama....just think of all the miles they flew....for women, minorities, and all the dead innocents left behind by "Fast and Furious".
Maybe some day soon, we can leave this damned old Rodeo behind.
THEY ABANDON THEIR EXPEDITION DUE TO TOO MUCH COLD, SNOW, AND ICING CONDITIONS.  TO THINK....IT'S SUMMER, AND MATING SEASON FOR THE PENGUINS.   BETTER LUCK NEXT PHONY-CRISIS TIME, ''Climate Researchers"!
Guys!!!   They're gone!!  Finally!!!
Let's hit the beach, we only have Summer for six
months, you know!!!  Have you ever smelled a
ranker bunch of commie hippies?
Whoopeee...!!!!   Sardines, here we come!!
     We have served ourselves well by stating, all of us who are reasonable sorts, that the abundance of snow, ice, sleet, and all forms of glacial abundance probably disproves the urgency if not the existence of climate change as a function of humankind's rapacity of the Planet.
     With each announcement by "The Really Official and Final Judgement Panel of Real Live Professors Who Know More than Any and Everybody and Who Have Been Peer Reviewed by Real Live Experts in the Field Who Also Know All There Is to Know, Past - Present - Future About Climate Change So Just Shut-UP!" ....there seems to be just one more little set-backipoo.
     To our credit there has been very little na-na-na-na-nya-nya  when overwhelming evidences crashes down on their carefully scripted parties.   The supreme and totally idiotic effort to declare Hurricane Sandy's damage to New York and New Jersey was fairly quickly abandoned as a piece of the Ark of the Truth of Total Death by Fire and Ice Caused by the Tea Party and Ted Cruz.  Reasonable observers could readily point out that Sandy's damage was due entirely because of the lay of the area where it struck, and by peculiar preparations, as in the case of New Orleans, by officious public officiators.
     Sandy, of course, as a powerful storm was not comment-worthy.  It was a storm of mediocre strength, and with the considerable maze of building standards, union labour rules and "standards", and the general air of superiority that the northeasterner has concerning their level of human accomplishment as opposed to the Duck Dynasty people....it really should have caused little if any damage.
     In Texas, such a storm would have been hard pressed to have caused one billion dollars in damage.   Without FEMA, settlements and recovery work could have be done within a year.   Of course, with FEMA, the Queen for a Day Beg-Grovel keeps the gnashing of teeth and tearing of robes going on forever.      The Lower Rio Grande Valley had such a storm In 2008, a Category I and II (depending on the day and hour), that went through the Lower Rio Grande Valley, almost straight up the Rio Grande, at one mile per hour.   Two days can be pretty long when a regenerating, weakening, and regenerating Hurricane moves over your area at one mile per hour.   Rains of 12 to 25 inches were common for the period.
     Press reporting now has essentially beg-grovelled as well, with "reporters" seeking out and inventing if necessary horror stories about the heartlessness of Southerners, Texans, Republicans, business owners, Tea-Party people, Christians and Jews during natural and man-made disasters.  And of course, we are accustomed to the fawning, fainting, leg-tingling reporting about h0w Obama can descend to bring comfort and to heal the halt and lame, the blind and bereaved with just one wave of your check-book.
     We do not use these continuing contradictions such as the trapping of propaganda ships taking advantage of the Antarctic Summer, which is little understood by John Q. Public as proof of weather normalcy, although one can edge in that direction.   The problem is that weather normalcy is almost a contradiction.  Climate is normal...in a way...and it changes over the thousands and hundreds of thousands of years.   There in Texas we have seen droughts and floods, cold waves that could freeze ports in deep South Texas and heat waves that could push temperatures into the one-hundred and teens for weeks at a time.   We have had rains of 28 inches in a 30 hours period, and hailstones the size of medium watermelons.   And, following these events over the years little or no "sky-is-falling" morose lament has been heard.   Complaints about the weather, yes;  but converting the episodes into evidential construct to form a political movement-cum-religion.
    Not even the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 that killed 7,000 to 13,000 people and totally destroyed 99% of the 3rd biggest city in Texas....with supposedly 200 mile-per-hour winds caused a "climate debate".   Perhaps there just weren't enough yahoos with nothing left to do besides sell phoney science scandals.
More later.
Interesting Confrontation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The looming confrontation between the Executive and the Judiciary could prove to be quite interesting.   Justice Sotomayor (a surname that means, in the archaic Spanish, very dense thicket...a surname associated with aristocracy) has deigned, as is her prerogative, to hold a hearing on the merits of several petitioners concerning the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative (OSMI).    This is peculiar because Justice Sotomayor is a person of impeccable socialist credentials and is dedicated to the notion of egalitarianism as bedrock to the marxist cause.

     If there is to be misery, then let it be shared equally by all.  Income redistribution is canon law in the religion of these folks, and so one might assume that all religious groups and anti-religious groups must violate their life-rules, canons, catechisms, morals, and ethics so as to make the provision of pre-natal care available to 70 year old men.
     One might imagine that there would be some problem when a group of people belong to a religious order or sect that is absolutely opposed to ending human life at any point from conception until natural expiration.   Many of these groups, orders, and sects are opposed to terminating life processes directly, indirectly, or even by passive measures.  By passive measures, of course, we mean the act of doing nothing as such events occur as terminating life processes by active measures.

     The vast majority of the populi americani has determined that abortion of pregnancy is really not in the best interest of the un-born baby.   Several religious groups, sects, denominations, and even agnostic or cosmic theistic thinkers have structural moral objections to complying with orders that suggest compliance with the processes leading to the abortion of a pregnancy.  Many of these same people are opposed to the imposition of the death penalty in any criminal case, no matter how heinous the crime.

     So here we are.   A fork in the road between those who believe in something and those who believe in nothing except absolute control through force.

     Apparently, Justice Sotomayor has determined that there is too much weight to the argument made by the proponents of supremacy of conscience who favour the life alternative in the debate about the abortion issue.   As a Ist Amendment issue....that Congrefs shall enact no law establishing a Religion, there is the obvious correlary...that it cannot enact a law that might disestablish a Religion where it is being freely practice with the approval of reasonable participants.   This does not even call into play the concept of equal protection, and several other salient legal arguments.

Justice Sotomayor
Shall we see wisdom from the
"wise Latina"?  We have seen that
she is willing at least to question
more vigorously than the
Chief Justice.
     It is so very obvious that should somebody wish to end the life of a creation within the belly of a woman, he and/or she can certainly in these days search out a facility that delights in bloodying its hands in such messy work.   The desire, here, is on the part of the marxist absolutists to extend absolute control and power over everything and everyone absolutely.

    It is what can best be defined as those people who, instead of saying God Bless America, or In God we Trust, or My Country 'tis of Thee....want to feel the thrill of being able to say, "SHUT-UP AND GET BACK IN LINE."

We shall see if Obama decides to "fail to comply" with the Supreme Court's Justice Sotomayor's order for presentation of arguments, due to-day, at her clerk's office, before close of business.   Will he opt instead to create a Constitutional crisis and/or to ridicule her and her office by disregarding the Court's order?

Circle the Wagons

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     We are treated to the spectacle of a group of girly-men reporters who are lemmingly going to try to impose upon the American people a woman to be President.   As an old beat-up geezer, some discretion is left to El Gringo Viejo to judge other broken down old hulks who want to talk about the great pass that thrown back in high school,  or when the big fish was caught back in '55 just downriver from Falcon Lake.
     We are advised that the New York Times...appropriately known as the "Old Grey Lady" of American journalism....had to report that a meanie-poo YouTube video about Islam and Mohammed caused the Arab Street throughout the world to rise up in righteous indignation.   The "Times" had to confess to a long covered up fact that they had a reporter on the ground during the attack on the embassy facilities situated somewhat off-campus.   The New York Times had this asset and because of that they know more than anyone else about what was happening in Benghazi on 11 September 2012.  And not only did the New York Times have a reporter there on location during the day of rage against the YouTube Video, but they were in communication with the intrepid, brave reporter even during the attack..."in real time" as it is said during these times.
   They decided not to tell anybody about this information because Starbucks was closed in Cairo and it was time they had set aside to restring their tennis racquets.   After that, they could say, "We had about twenty brass doorknobs to polish, and then there was that darned old leak in the bathroom lavatory drain upstairs."
     Poppycock.   From my upbringing, it seems now like several hundred years ago, there was a commonly used expression among the Mexicans.   When someone would come up with a whopperoo, one of the listeners was apt to respond, "Haz me el favor de no decirme que Usted causo' la noche tapando El Sol con su pulsar."   This is a polite way of telling a person that he is full of it.....and translated, it reads, "Do me the favour of not telling me that you caused the nightfall by covering the Sun with your thumb."
     Folks, all OROGs and those just passing through, the story being told by the prevaricators at the New York Times is such an obvious attempt to breathe life into a dead, putrefying mendacious explanation of a tragic event, that it should be greeted with joy on the part of the forces of common and natural law and Constitutionalism.   Certainly a batch of three or four per cent of the electorate will be offended by this heavy-handed attempt to change the true nature of the events of those horrid hours.
     Please remember that these are the people who sent Sandy Berger into the National Archives to literally tear pages out of the Archives that could prove that Billy Jeff Clinton's "Eagle Talon" terrorist interception programme had absolutely nothing to do with the capture of the terrorist who was en route to LAX to blow up the airport and/or several airplanes.   Clinton testified that he had set up the programme and that he had had success, citing the arrest and detention of said terrorist.  The only problem was, of course, that "Eagle Talon" was established four or five months after the American female border inspector, intuited that the person before her was up to no good, and then, upon checking his trunk, found many, many pounds of explosives making material, detonators, and other devices necessary for the correct assembly of several bombs.
Hillary, Hillary, please!  Go back!
This is Tusla International and you are going
to be telling people about how we corkscrewed
into this place and had to run zigzags wearing
flak-jackets and helmets due to the sniper
fire....Oh! Hillary...The humanity...!
      Because George Bush wanted to make nice with the kind of people who would celebrate vandalising and sabotaging computers and word processors by prying the "w" keys out of almost every one of said machines in the White House and the Old Executive Office Building adjacent....we did not have a chance to prosecute Good Ole Sandy the Knicker-stuffer for any number of felonies.
     It is dangerous to be around the Clintons because one needs to be current on his 'pushing up daisies' exercises, and because the "swing-around effect" of a Bill or Hillary when they turn to face you, might result in your being bashed by a rapidly growing nose, that suddenly  extends well past the normal distance from their faces for standard conversation.   If that can be avoided, it is very possible to suffer serious injury by being too close to either one of them or their associates due to the probability, not just possibility, that their pants will spontaneously combust at any second.
