     A very quick video presentation is available on The Anglican Curmudgeon concerning the lynching of George Zimmerman.   It is precise and concise.  We must move beyond the issue, but at the same time it cannot be covered up with rose petals to hide the stench.

 

     We are out to flog some of the various and sundry old business issues that the wrecking crew Administration seems content to leave behind.   It looks so much like a serial hit-and-run situation that we really do not know if there are enough wreckers and ambulances to pick up after this administration.

     We are also convinced that Obama and the Obsolete Press are using the Trayvon and Zimmerman thing as a convenient sleight of hand distraction for the low information, low intelligence "community" and as a sedative for the Chappaqua and Martha's Vineyard set who worry that soon too many people will actually notice that the Emperor's new raiment is terribly transparent.

     All OROGs know the drill.  The advertisement that states, "....and get a second Magic Pin Cushion that glows in the dark, ABSOLUTELY FREE!  Just pay separate shipping and handling of $5.95"

 

     This would indicate that the advertiser does not know the meaning of the words "absolutely" and "free"....or he is certain in his understanding that Americans are finally, en masse, a doltish bunch of boors with little or no critical thinking ability.

     But Barack Hussein Obama might be about to run out of teleprompter.  Perhaps the pilot light finally lit up after many matches were wasted in the effort to start up the water heater.

    During his "address" to the nation about the true nature of the Obama Socialised Medicine Offencive, he was backed up by the usual choir...sometimes they are doctor dolts in white coats, looking like idiots...sometimes they are police and/or fire department union thugs in police and/or fire department formal dress looking like the union thugs....other times it might be teachers' union thugs lined up like sides of beef hooked up in a cooling chamber....standing behind the beloved leader while he explains how the Republicans want everybody to die in a fire while being raped and murdered, all the while being hopelessly illiterate and ignorant because the Republicans cut back on funding for police, medical care, firemen, and teachers.
     We are waiting for the group of emaciated children who are in the process of starving to death who cannot eat because the Republicans will not give them food.

     Obama can say that he is giving everyone free medical care all the time and only the rich will have to finally pay their fair share.   But suddenly, there are little teeninesy differences....such as ".....and you may even be able to keep your own doctor".....He has come close to saying that the average family will save 60% over what they are now spending except for those vast majority who will pay 100 to 250 per cent more.   Even the same doltish, wealth-hating labour unions have leadership and membership that is saying a little louder than a stage-whisper that the working man, the rich man, and the poor man are going to be fed into the Soylent Green machine, run by marxist elitists.

     Even Nancy Pelosi has gone back to Restful Acres Sanatorium where she can waltz around with an invisible partner....dancing all the day in the gardens of  the institution....babbling and seemingly permanently smiling, wide-eyed and cheerful..."The Republicans need to learn about the birds and the bees" and "The Pope is unclear about certain points of the Roman Catholic Church", and, of course, humming the melody of her favourite song, "You Have to Vote for  It to Find Out What's In It"   (The same melody used in that classic, "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour, On the Bedpost Overnight).


    We are moved by this last choir of "Common People"....the very people for whom leftist elitists have the utmost contempt.  But there they were, full of their proud dull doltishness, expressing their approval for receiving "free" goodies. They endorsed the notion that they had already won the lottery.   Like the Judas Goats, they were thinking that they would be spared as they attempted to lead the sheep into the slaughterhouse. 

     It all rang flat.   Obama fell flat...he sounded flat....he knows that he is starting to lose Democrat votes in the Lower House and the fear is spreading on the floor of the Upper House that some folks might not vote for a Democrat incumbent, just because he or she approved socialised medicine for everyone except him or her self.

     Further evidence that shows a disconnect from reality is yesterday's rambling, narcissistic soliloquy, filled with self-adulating immersions into the Great Hall of the Offended Victims...."Thirty-five years ago, I might have been Trayvon".   The moaning about how black men have to listen to the clicking of automobile doors when walking by white folks' autos....the whining about how black males have escorts throughout the stores....the song of tragic victimhood about how black males are familiar with always being just one step removed from being offended or even brutalised by White Cracker Dogs.

     Earth to Barack Hussein Obama....you are lucky.  You were Trayvon.  You were a dope-smoking, dope-dealing slug....slip-sliding your way through the academic jungle...getting by on the basis that you could not be measured very sharply, because the soft bigotry of low expectations was your magic carpet and secret key to all success.

      You and your progressive and other extreme leftist social engineers are, however, in a very real sense, the fathers of Trayvon and all the Trayvons who measure their worth with how evil, violent, tough, and criminal they can be.  A boy with a mother, who is not "there", and a father who is not "there'', who is reduced to staying with his father's girlfriend....although she, as well, is not there joins the ranks of now 77% of all black youth who have no father until after they are dead.   They are the children who "stay"....they do not have homes.
  They are the children who kill each other....11,000 during the time Zimmerman waited to go to trial....11,000 black men killed by other black men....most of whom had no souls....only welfare...soulless, cold, condescending welfare and slavery....being owned by people who take care of them just enough to turn them out to vote one more time to keep Sharpton and Jackson well-heeled and flush.   Sharpton, Wright, and Jackson along with the coterie of parasitic slugs known as Democrats who care about people and minorities and children and women's issues and global warming and global cooling and the animals and life in the Hamptons and in the Vineyard.
     Obama, you are nowhere near brave enough to turn on a pudgy, old white cracker and push him down to the ground and attempt to bang his brains out.   You are not even brave enough to be the coward that the bully is.   You have always hidden behind wealthy marxists and communist "minders" and "life guides", almost all of whom have been white.  You have even hidden behind the skirts (or pantsuits) of pitiable personalities like (Sir Edmund)Hillary and Susan Rice, among others.   Odd, but predictable.

     You were a convenient piece of lazy, malleable potter's mud who was taken up by and for the convenience of wealthy, marxist, elitists to be used in their continuing effort to destroy America, fundamental liberty, and freedom from government dominance of the life of free men and women.   You were trained to read words written to be heard by people with little discernment concerning the meaning of words and phrases....so long as they sounded like something they thought they wanted to hear.   Hope and Change.   Fundamental Transformation.  Forward.  Revenge.  And never forget, always make the rich pay their fair share.

Small Calamity

     Our little mud hut in the middle of nowhere has the value of about 1/1000th of my children and my better three/quarters.   So, the OROGs know that it is quite an important fixture in my life and in the patrimony of the family.  So, last night, we noted on the long-distance radar out of Brownsville (yes - it barely reaches to that point where the Quinta rests in front of the Sierra Madre) that moderately heavy to very heavy rains had continued to fall there for almost twenty-four hours.    The estimate of total rainfall seems to be in the neighbourhood of 10 - 12 inches.  We shall know more about the specific amount later.

 

     In any regard, two of the beams that support the roof/ceiling in the parlour seem to have been burned, where they are exposed to the exterior of the rear of the house, due to a bit of "climbing lightning" as it is said in the area.  That is lightning that hits a tree and then leaps to the lip of a house.   The two beams will need to be reworked and reinforced with lengths of 2 X 10s of equivalent value....about three feet for each....and bolted onto the "good parts" that remain in the interior of the house.  It is a pain in the neck, but the result is essentially an even stronger  than strong support for the roof and ceiling.   It is even more important because the area where the beams join the east wall is also adjacent to the chimney.  It is mandatory to maintain  absolute stability there.

 

     We have no real structural damage, just the injury that causes a geezer the same kind of anguish as when his child falls off his bicycle and breaks his fingers in a hideous fashion....or when his daughter is lying in bed with a burning fever from the Dengue...and having no way to pass the suffering from her to me.

 

    Anyway, there we are.  We have had to defer from making observations about the political and cultural situation due to this moderately important emergency.   We appreciate your indulgence.

     It will be time to remind people that there are a lot of fully funded pension plans that are  "just sitting there", not doing anything in terms of feeding minority children.    It will require "educating" the public that it would only be fair to take just one or two per cent of that free money that nobody is using right now in order to provide post - infant Head Start for those who are forced to remain in the shadows and on the edge of American society due to historical patterns of exploitation and discrimination.   After all,  because of the lower birth rates, it will only cost one or two billion dollars to provide every minority child in America the basic three meals per day.

     Any notion that there could be any thought or possibility of graft or corruption associated with such a program is a typical charge of racists who are forever poised to leap into the path of progress that might possibly help those who have suffered the most oppression at the hands of the American War for Profit for the Rich machine.

     Just one or two  per cent for the good of many....given by few who have so much.   Is this a democracy or is it a continuation of the plantation?   After all, democracy means, in its truest sense, that we all have the same share...none benefitting either more or less from the common efforts of all.   It is our calling from our religion and our own sense of fair play.

     So, after all this other stuff quiets down....perhaps we can get on with the Crise de Jour.....making full use of the money that is just laying around.

 

 

      Next, we shall need to establish Courts of Social Arbitration.   People who are derived from groups that have been historically exploited and discriminated against have long needed courts composed of judgement panels of arbiters drawn from similarly exploited and discriminated against persons.   The courts could run on their own fines, thereby costing the Central Government little or nothing.

     These courts could be used to set aside convictions in the traditional, biased, and privileged-class protective tribunals that historically have protected the interests of the privileged to the detriment of the interests of the exploited.  They could also serve as civil courts that would settle disputes, with a special emphasis on empathetic treatment to and for the historically oppressed.

     While all of the above is preposterous, please be aware that it is also the plan and purpose of the "progressive" elements who are found in all manners of elliptical orbit around the White House and the Administration, the Universities, the "Progressive" movement, and the general leftist milieu in America.   It is probable that five of every six people involved in what is known as "journalism" in these days could read the above gibberish and consider it reasonable.

 

      Please remember that Eric Holder cannot find out anything concerning the Fast and Furious debacle.   There is some oblique....very hard to focus...issue about a subordinate who might not have "fully informed" somebody, and who is punished by being promoted to a different desk....changing from Phoenix to Washington, D.C.  and at a higher pay grade.   But somehow that does not seem to be much of a punishment for indirectly managing to kill 400 - 500 Mexicans and several Americans, including members of the constabulary.

    And, one knows that if it is necessary to say on national Spanish-language television during the 2012 Presidential campaign that the program was started by George Bush and Eric Holder shut it down....we are dealing with the lowest of the lowest mendacious slime....when we listen to the present incumbent President speak.

      Allow us once again to level the accurate charge that the Fast and Furious program was expressly and purposely designed and implemented to cause killings by arms bought in American gun stores....thereby justifying a complete and permanent shutdown and cessation of the existence of  retail firearms and ammunition facilities in the United States of America.   It was the motivation of the attack on Mount Carmel in 1993...as a "head of John the Baptist" for Hillary Clinton....and it was the intention of the Holder DoJ in 2009, when the Fast and Furious plan was hatched by the anti-firearm Nazis.  Elimination of the holding of private firearms in America by Americans is one of the main Sacred Cows that the progressives must destroy.

     It is our certain conclusion that all of it is purposeful.  The desire of Obama's controllers...the Soros people and the Nihilists and Anarchists and Socialists....is to destroy America.  They hate anything founded upon the Rock of Yahweh.   It is atheist Jews hating practising Jews.   It is people taking over churches to impose social missions instead of social service...and to impose divisiveness when the religion is supposed to be Common...as in the original meaning of Book of Common Prayer....services for Prince and Pauper alike.

     Why have we left these people to destroy the culture and our grandchildren's chances to dream of greater conquests?

     And finally, Stand Your Ground and concealed carry.   El Gringo Viejo really does know of a personal story, and from not so long ago.   It happened in Texas, where everything is supposed to be perfect, but sometimes not so much.   Like the day a fellow was driving back to his place after doing some necessaries in town.  Before arriving at his place, a well-known bully - drunk - hothead came barrelling down the two lane country road...invaded the contrary lane, and ran our fellow off the road.   Texas has good rural roads with wide shoulders, but leaving the pavement at 45 or 50 miles per hour is going to be an adventure by any measure.

     Our friend gets out of his vehicle and while trying to collect himself, he is confronted roughly by the bully, who for no reasonable reason has come back to cause more problems.   It is apparent that the bully is drunk, no import given to the morning hour, and he is spoiling for a fight.  He pushes our friend down onto the ground....so that the image is clear....it is like a mean Larry the Cable Guy, about 35 years old, about 6' 3'' and 260 pounds pushing down our guy who is a tad over 6 feet and about 170 pounds and a little over 60 years old.    Our guy is a veteran, and has a couple of issues left over from Viet Nam in terms of physical limitations....not much...but some.

     The Cable Guy's mean bigger brother is on top of our guy in an instant.  Drunk, big, mean....does not mean clumsy...and he begins to try to whale onto our friend.   Our guy fends off most of the badly placed punches, but some land.   The weight differential becomes an issue and the issue arrives at those critical 3 to 5 seconds.

    "Am I going to lay here and let him turn me into a corpse or a vegetative organ donor or do I kill the s.o.b."   Our fellow is a combat veteran...he has taken life indirectly and even directly, but it really is not his favourite activity.   Right now, however, the sand is running through the hourglass fairly quickly.   One reason that he has not panicked is because he has his 40 calibre just coming out of its holster.   Now it is a matter of 1 to 3 seconds.

 

    Suddenly another big bruiser comes up and grabs the Cable Guy's brother, "Jake, you dumbass...what in the Hell are you doin'?   You know you're on probation and the judge is going to hang you up by your private parts, boy!" and the Big Bruiser double-arm lifts the Cable Guy's brother up and pushes him down on the ground.

    Our friend goes and stands over the Cable Guy's brother, who seems stunned that he met the ground in such an unceremonious manner.   He releases the hammer back down from the cocked position, while looking the bully in the eye.   The bully's friend says, "You dumbass, you missed your reserved seat in Hell by one trigger  pull.   You better thank your lucky whatever that it was him and not someone else....because Hell, I would have killed you for that trick you just pulled off."

 

    Our guy, still glaring at the Cable Guy's brother, re-holstered, and said, "Last warning."   and then he got back in his ride and continued home.   For a good while after that, the Cable Guy's brother would cross the street so as not to have to pass by our guy.  And then...one day...the Cable Guy's brother decided to run over someone with his pickup, more or less intentionally.  And that gave him a whole heap of trouble.   Many years over in the Huntsville, Texas area, as a guest of the DOC, revocation of probation which added on a few more years....and all those nine yards of tribulation brought on by a life run by the demons of the soul.

     Had worse come to worse, on that earlier day out on the two-lane, our new friend would have had a fighting chance to take his cat-food back to the ranch house...along with his wife's medicines....and the other little things that a small ranch always seems to need.   And he still uses his concealed carry permit....everywhere he goes.

State Department Re-issues Travel Warnings for Tamaulipas

Central Government gone wild:

 

 

     This is not an advertisement, nor is it a solicitation for business.    Thankfully, our little business is so small that we really would have a hard time handling even the smallest increase in activity.   We are simply using this opportunity to point out the uselessness of approximately 78% of the activity of the Central Government in Washington, D.C.

 

     The Consul General of the United States State Department in Matamoros, Tamaulipas issued a general travel warning, advising Americans not to travel to the State of Tamaulipas due to the wave of car-jackings, murders, kidnappings, and assaults along with the general violence associated with contests between various organised criminal elements.

      The news release also declared that the number of Americans killed during the past year in Mexico had gone down from 79 to  43, and that almost all those killings had resulted from the Americans being involved in the drug trafficking business.   Then the news release declares that the overall situation is much improved since the peak of the cartel activity in 2011.

 

     It was like something out of the TWILIGHT ZONE:   A cut-and-paste warning, word-for-word taken from previous warnings (some over 4 years old)  that were equally useless because of failure in terms of precision, the contradictory information, and other "news" that ran counter to what a person who lives in the middle of the situation knows to be true.     It's just wrong....and useless.

 

     It was such a spooky press release that El Gringo Viejo had to review the normal "un-official" sources of information about the drug and cartel violence.   Perhaps he was head-in-the-sanding....perhaps he was being Pollyanna....perhaps his rose-coloured contact lenses had become permanently attached to the iris.    Check...check...check.  Nope.   The sites that used to shovel up fresh guts and beheadings are pretty much reduced to being police blotter sites, covering domestic violence, predatory step-fathers, and shoot-outs between gangs whose oldest members are less than 15 years of age.   And, even those stories have seemed to calm into the 1975 - 1980 era of intensity.

      Last night we had the confirmation of the detention and arrest of a major, or should we say, THE major figure still standing from within the ZETA Cartel.

Mexican military nabs alleged Zetas drug lord Miguel Angel Trevino Morales

A man said to be one of Mexico's most wanted drug lords has been captured: Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, also known as "Z-40."

Trevino Morales, alleged leader of the brutal Los Zetas cartel, was caught Sunday by Mexican Marines in a town called Anahuac near the border of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon states, authorities say.

In a press conference, officials said no shots were fired and three men were arrested with 2 million U.S. dollars in cash, three guns and multiple rounds. It was not clear what the precise roles of the two other suspects were, but Eduardo Sanchez Hernandez, Mexico's Assistant Secretary of Media and Security, said he believes one was in charge of finances and the other was a bodyguard. He did not answer when asked what role U.S. agencies played in capture.

The U.S. State Department had offered a $5 million reward for Trevino Morales.

The Zetas cartel is among Mexico's most violent drug organizations, notorious for civilian killings and beheadings. Is leaders ordered the killing of 72 undocumented immigrants in 2010 in what is known as the San Fernando massacre. More recently in May, the Mexican army said their leaders ordered underlings to leave 49 mutilated bodies in a northern Mexico town square.

Trevino Morales' brother, Jose, was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison in Texas for using a racetrack to hide illegal drug profits for his brothers.

Las Zetas is one of eight major, rival drug cartels involved in an ongoing conflict for regional control.

A horse ranch in Oklahoma was raided in June under suspicions it also hosted a money-laundering operation for Miguel Angel Trevino Morales.

   The ones who captured him were elements of the Mexican Naval Infantry.   The take-down was not in Nuevo Laredo, but rather the city of Anahuac, Nuevo Leon which is found to the south, but not too far distant from the Laredos that straddle the Rio Grande.    Trevin~o - Morales is thought to have been born in Dallas, Texas although that data is in dispute.  He was never actually a regular Army soldier in Mexico.  He served a stint in the draft of about six months.   He was never one of the Fort Bragg graduates one associates with the high-ranking sergeants trained in special operations and night-parachute techniques and so forth....those original 27 or so who deserted and sold their services  (committed treason) to the Cartel del Golfo as "security engineers".   All of those have been killed or, for those few who have survived, are in Mexican or American prisons.

     The Naval Infantry, working with several different sources of information, including civilian informants in the locale, established a roadblock ambush on a rural road that locals said he had been using during the hours of darkness, especially the "madrugada" (early morning, pre-dawn hours).

     Beyond the roadblock ambush, the Naval Infantry also brought in armed helicopters, and FLIR - capacitated equipment.   The contingent on the ground numbered about 60 infantry, under the command of a naval grade captain, and they received what was thought to be a "convoy" but what turned out to be one vehicle only.   Three men and a driver.  Trevin~o - Morales, his body-guard, his accountant, and the driver all surrendered without firing a shot, although they were heavily armed. It is not known as of yet if any of the weapons retrieved were "Fast and Furious" in origin, but such a thing would be unlikely.
     Word to the wise:   It is almost impossible to escape Forward Looking InfraRed imaging, especially when you are the only vehicle and the only four guys within thirty miles radius who are not wearing Naval Infantry camouflage.   And when you have 50 automatic rifles being held by fellows who really, really do know how to use them...being pointed in your abdominal regions, just put your hands up in the air, very slowly.    And in this same vein, this particular fellow of interest was involved with his brother, in Oklahoma, with the trading of fine thoroughbred horses.   His brother, and several of his brother's friends are making licence plates since about a year ago, and several million dollars worth of horses, land, and fixtures were confiscated, simultaneous to the career-change that the race-horse magnates (now  cockroaches) had invested.

 

      Any thought that this is just a blip and another Cartel will move in, and/or the "management" of this Cartel will just replace the leader with another, I think is incorrect.   It is my observation that each major blow done by the Mexican military and/or police agencies has resulted in less and less competent operation of the remaining cartel activity.   Also, it has resulted in more intermittent and less intense nefariousness in general....whether it be shake downs, silver-0r-lead alternatives for police and other officials, extortion (ie; waiting outside the schools to take 1/3 or more of the teachers' pay on payday), murders, reprisals, and the movement of marijuana and narcotics.

     So, not only is El Gringo Viejo confused about the latest warning from the State Department...which also included an all clear notice for various States in Mexico previously carrying warnings....but he is also certain that this blow will reduce the activity by another 3%.   And it will free up military assets to go into other areas.   Step by step.   Tick, tock, tick, tock.
