     Following Bommie's great success at the Battle of Benghazi, the United States of America withdraws it Embassy presence, all Embassy officials, from Libya's capital, Tripoli after weeks of insistence by the War Department.   The entire Embassy staff under the guard of a Marine detachment of 70 - 80 Sappers, and several F - 16s patrolling their path, they make their way to the citadel of Bommie Tranquility, Tunisia.

       Tunisia used to be a nice little backwater place before Bommie made things better during his apology tour shortly after seizing the Presidency of the United States under false pretence.  Before long, it is probable that Islamic terrorists will destroy this little picture postcard nation with a long and proud history, some good dates, and a bit of reasonable thinking in the Arabic world.   It will be gone soon.

    Herman Munster travels to Israel to force peace upon the irascible Hebrews who take offense to rockets being lobbed into their midst on a continuing basis.  The kidnapping and murder of three Jewish teenagers by Hamas thugs, plus the certain intelligence that Hamas fighters intend to launch a full-scale offensive to once and for all destroy the Jewish State on the date of the up-coming Jewish New Year prompt the Israelis to  finally strike back at Hamas in Gaza en force.
      When the fight begins and is joined by the best Hamas can throw at the Israelis, it is apparent that the Hamas fighters are once again outmatched in terms of valour, preparedness, ability, and equipment.   The Egyptians enter and broker a reasonable truce.  The Jews agree, but the Hamas leaders say no....because for them it is necessary to really being the part of the one battle that they can win.  Mendacious Propaganda.

     Hamas will begin to mislead, misdirect, and force their own people into areas they know the Israelis will probably cannonade, bomb and strafe with the IDF air power on hand, or take apart with IDF infantry in the next few minutes.   In this manner the United Nations, Miss USA - 2010, all the leftists in the world, CNN and the remainder of the vehemently Jew-hating Obsolete Press, and Selena Gomez.

     The Obsolete Press does not point out to the low-information and low-intelligence people who compose their audience that the Egyptians arrange a peace agreement and the Jews agreed but Hamas said no.  As the fighting continues, since there is no chance of victory, and since the leaders of the military effort of Hamas have taken refuge in places far from the fighting, it appears that Hamas promise to bury the Israelis in the Mediterranean again, has, again, turned into a disaster.  Hamas can celebrate, however, that they managed to kill about a thousand of their own people because of their own craven disrespect for human life.   And it is, after all, another great success of Bommie's presidency....the Oceans have begun to recede, and America is a more respected place.....(?)

      Then drunken Russian-backed militia fighting to destabilise the Ukraine drop a civilian airliner from the sky, with 300 dead the result.  They do it with a  Russian provided BUK anti-aircraft missile battery.    Bommie forcefully states that this is unacceptable.  He boldly fails to bring together NATO, he avoids pushing the Euros into a wall of rejection of the Russian swagger, bullying, and aggression.   He does not open up the Keystone Pipeline operation, and then advise the Euros that they will not lack for one drop of oil, nor one cubic yard of natural gas presently imported from the vodka-sotted Ruskis.  The United States, and especially the United States, Canada, and Mexico are in the position of essentially controlling and guaranteeing oil and gas to anyone who might need some, at reasonable market prices.  But that would take work, and work takes away from fund raising trips and leisurely hours on the golf course.

    Then Bommie has the great victory of the Battle of Damascus, where Bommie outdoes Lawrence of Arabia by inspiring all the Arabs to overthrow the horrible dictator, Bashir Assad.  Another great success, like all the rest, in style, flourish, speeches, and fluffle ....sound and fury, signifying nothing, I think is the correct description....and the entire area left with hundreds of lines drawn in the sand.   It is almost a mirrored image of Bommie's greatest achievement:  stabbing Hosni Mubarak in the back so as to be able to install Bommie's Boys, the Muslim Brotherhood, into power in Egypt, an  event that collapsed on its own totalitarian weight in a matter of months and left Egypt in much better and saner hands, with the Egyptian military in charge, again.

     Celebrating the failure of every flopping effort to show the world how Bommie walks on water and cares more than the 1%, and while criminally stonewalling, through his lackey Eric the Red Holder, on the Fast and Furious Debacle....perhaps the worst breach of law, international relations, and due process of all the phoney scandals, since it is the one that left the greatest number of  people dead....Bommie begins to collect on his open ended invitation to Central America to "Come On Down!!!!". 
    When Bommie extended the invitation to the oppressed of Central America to take advantage of Catch and Release, the movement to the north began fairly quickly and then built into such a crescendo that it became another debacle....one that Bommie and Valerie Jarrett actually celebrated.  The pain, suffering, and damage the Annenberg conspirators have caused the American Republic was compounded by what those pitiable folks suffered coming up here.  They will now be consigned to that thing the "progressives" call "The Shadows" until such time that Bommie grants amnesty by the stroke of his sceptre....an event that is coming sooner rather than later.

     Of course, Bommie still has the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative for which he can be proud....for it, like all the other supposed missteps is the one thing that can cause the most damage to the United States as a bastion of individualism, industry, self-reliance, and risk-taking, innovation, and private wealth creation.

     So many errors, so many done intentionally to weaken the Nation.  The failure to force the Iraqis to terms concerning how we would retire from the field in Iraq is certainly one of the more telling events that show what an insipid Trojan Horse personality this pretender was, is , and will continue to be until he resigns or finishes his term.   It is sincerely my opinion that if the Democrats lose the United States Senate, Bommie will resign.

     The frenzy over control of that body is the reason for his wilful neglect and poor handling even of his purposeful "mistakes"  while he hobnobs with the rich and famous, raising money to buy time to defame this, that, and every potential Republican / Conservative postulating for election to the United States Senate.  We hope that he has painted himself into such a corner now that even his low information dullards will either stay at home or perhaps even vote Republican.  We notice that the Associated Press has gone '' full-court press'' with articles now, declaring that Business is hiring again and that layoffs are no longer to be feared because of Bommie's recovery finally picking up steam.   These articles are coming out against the backdrop, however, of Microsoft cutting 15,000 workers, or about 10% of their work force, and Apple also cutting deep into the ranks of their workforce.

     Bill Gates, founder and still spiritual leader of Microsoft, made a lot of sense in the past few days, as do a lot of ultra liberal, National Socialist, crony capitalists.  On the one hand he declared that we needed to have "immigration reform" that would be more fair, and allow more people to come to the table in the United States.  Then on the other hand his company was in the process of refining exactly what was going to be done to reduce the company's employment by one of every ten presently employed persons.  That is a true decimation....and speaks volumes to the notion that these billionaires who are Democrats and Progressives may be smart...but they are not all that smart.

More Later.  There is so much that Father Obamaham has done that is so foul, there is no way it can all be described in a score of years.   To think that there are politicians who would chose to play to the ignorance and slow wittedness of the citizens instead of trying to inspire people to aspire and reach to the stars and conquer the windmills.   What a pitiful little bolshie we have at our helm.

We confess that we have been passive fans of Joan Rivers, in spite of herself, but one of the reasons why, she demonstrated to-day.   The cold-blooded  murder being caused Hamas (yes we normally spell it Jamas...it means in Spanish and Arabic "Forever" and "Never" depending upon the context).   The idea that one can hide weaponry and combatants in a mosque, school, hospital, and/or orphanage is the mark of absolute depravity.  It is the open admission of being a degenerate sub-human piece of fungus on camel vomit.  It is an obscene insult to the Abrahamic Religion that has essentially been systematically destroyed by Sunni and Shiite denominations and mullahs and imams who daily break the covenants and admonitions that Islam, Judaism, and  Christianity share from the prophets...and from the second most important prophet of Islam, Jesus of Nazareth.

     Very recently, the ISIS scum who essentially set up an Islamic terrorist state in central Iraq and easternmost Syria destroyed the mosque-tomb of the Prophet of the Three Abrahamic Religions....the Tomb of Jonah.

Honduran President Blames the United States?

     We are given to understand that the individual pictured above has offered to the consideration of all that the problem with the sudden exodus of a significant segment of the population of Honduras to the United States of America is the fault of the United States of America.   To the extent that the President of the United States devised, along with Valerie Jarrett and various marxist thinkers within the cartel occupying the White House and executive ranks of the American bureaucracy, a system to induct unqualified people into the United States, there is truth to the charge.

     However, one might consider that Costa Rica is another nation where the United States has also been very brutal.   The United Nations has pictures of Israelis and Americans literally sneaking in at night and carrying away all the wealth of Costa Rica on a regular basis.  In spite of this, we do not see hundreds upon thousands of people trying to flood up to the Rio Grande to gain access to the Honey Pot of WIC, AFDC, Section 8, Food Stamps, Head Start, Medicaid, and all the other nice free things that are part of the elusive American Dream.  Costa Rica has its problems, but the Costariquenos seem to be able to stumble through Life in Paradise without a lot of nationalistic pathos and accumulated chips on the shoulder.

     Geography and sociology are interesting academic and scientific theatres of thought.   For instance, in the case of Honduras, there is no other nation in the world where the value of the land divided by the number of people in the population of that nation would yield the fact that per capita, Honduras is the richest nation per capita on Planet Earth.  There are many ways to figure this and certainly Canada, Russia, and certain of the African nations in the sub-Saharan area might be in the running....but in the photo finish, Honduras and her 8,500,000 people would certainly be in the mix.   How could this be possible?

     It is possible because Honduras is laden with incalculable amounts gold and silver.   Other minerals and metals are found in abundance in the mountains of the central core of the nation.  Agricultural alternatives are limitless.  The fishing industry has never been developed to any significant degree, and considering the comeliness and archaeology of the nation, it should be overrun with foreign and domestic honeymooners and archeophyles.  The pyramid site of Copan could provoke the introduction of 1,000,000 visitors annually if developed correctly.   This could be done by developing any of several hundred "helper" sites so as to take off the daily pressure on the main star.  Presently 150,000 visitors tour Copan per year, about forty per cent are foreign.







     Honduras has about 8,500,000 inhabitants, and a total gross nation product of a little less than 9,000,000,000 (nine billion) USD.  This is a production that allows for about 2,100 USD per person.   Interestingly, a family of four or five, with a bit of luck, with two-and-one-half wage earners in the family can make do fairly comfortably, considering the lack of need for heating or cooling, for instance.
  The abundance of cheap and high quality tropical production, avocado, banana, zapote (kiwi) beans, rice, corn, and a hundred other goodies make Honduras a place where a Gringo could retire early, set up a little business and pay a little too much for better help, and live like a Duke on an income of 2,000 USD / month.   But, the civil authority gave up trying to control the most vicious of the gangs...whose membership is well above 100,000.

     Luckily, the gangs, Los 18 and the MaraSalva Trucha, and a hundred lesser and affiliated groups tend to spend most of their time killing and terrorising one another.  But sometimes, after 10 or 12 reefers and two bottles of aguardiente (burning water) at 160 proof they set about killing and terrorising anything.  Sniff a little glue, snort a little coke or meth, and only the Devil knows what potential these people can fulfil in terms of criminality.

    To be sure, it would take a while, perhaps 15 to 20 years to pull Honduras up to a level similar to Mexico's right now.  But with calm, and a rigid, authoritarian, but fair, regime in place further foreign and domestic investment could raise the per capita income from the paltry 2,000 USD/year to four or five thousand in the time indicated above. The thing is, to do it!  But, after having the gumption to replace Zelaya and stand up to Chavez, the President of Honduras takes the easy road, and blames the United States for what is a systemic cultural problem within his own country.

    Our point is that from order can come progress, and as tough as the authorities have been on the criminal element in Honduras over the past three years....with some success, admittedly, in reducing the crime rate, more must be done.   One notices that in Brazil, as soon as the Games were over, and the last penalty shot kicked,  the authority lessened its choke hold on the gangs in the favelas.   Almost immediately the gangs began a donnybrook that continues to this day.   It is almost as bad as Chicagoland or Detroitland.

 

     In any regard, now we are given to understand that Father Obamaham is going to send cruise ships down to San Pedro Sula to gather all the children and bring to the United States so that they can be given a place and time to report for their immigration status hearing.   That way the children will know when and where not to be or not to be.   So far, well over 90% of those who have been given dates from this last batch, have for some good reason or another apparently not reported for their hearings.  One suspects that the 90% figure will become the norm.

Possibly 30 Years for Canadian Narco with ties to Sinaloa Cartel and the Mafia

Canadian Drug Kingpin , Jimmy Cournoyer, with Ties to the Rizutto and Bonanno Crime Families, the Hells Angels and the Mexican Sinaloa Cartel Plead Guilty in 2013 to Narcotics Trafficking Crimes Carrying Sentence of 20 Years to Life and $1 Billion in Forfeiture.

He will discover his fate on August 20th when his sentence will be handed down. 

However, U.S. feds are now seeking a 30 year sentence, arguing that a lighter sentence would amount to little incarceration time for Cournoyer, due to the fact he has elected to spend his sentence in Canada. Canada has a very liberal probation system that would drastically cut actual time spent behind bars.  

Pointing out that Cournoyer "had a cadre of high-priced lawyers in Canada and the United States working to intimidate and threaten underlings into not cooperating with authorities. Various lawyers helped monitor several criminal cases related to Jimmy Cournoyer's massive cross-border drug trafficking network, probing for tips about investigations, warning co-conspirators against testifying and even offering 'bribes,' pay-offs and implied threats of harm to themselves or members of their families," say prosecutors.

A Canadian “narco newbie”  at the age of 21, and until his arrest at age 33, he developed a billion dollar marijuana business operating a business with associates such as the Hells Angeles, Sinaloa Cartel,  and New York’s Bonnano Crime Family while being back by Montreal’s Rizzuto mob (Vito Rizzuto below left). 

Cournoyer was part of an operation with the mafia on both sides the US/Canadian border that involved in a vast cross border trafficking that channeled Canadian ecstasy and weed to New York, then using  the profits in purchasing  Mexican cocaine, which was shipped back to Canada.

U.S. Federal prosecutor Steven Tiscione stated “the illegal narcotics distributed worldwide by members of the criminal enterprise have a retail value of more than $1 billion… conservatively.”

U.S. charges the Cournoyer network specialized in growing and distributing potent hydroponic marijuana harvested in British Columbia.. The marijuana was then transported by Hells Angeles, in motor homes and trucks, across Canada.

  

By 2009, he sent at least 1,000 pounds of hydroponic cannabis a week to New York, most of it to a Bonnano associate.

The biker gang and the Montreal mob then smuggled the marijuana from Quebec into upstate New York, where trucks delivered it to a warehouse in Brooklyn, authorities and sources said.

Cournoyer acquired his $1-billion drug empire by “gaining control over ports and customs checkpoints through a combination of covert operations and outright political corruption” and abusing “sovereign tribal lands” on First Nations’ reserves “that are almost impossible to police,” prosecutors said.

Additionally, he maintained a 2 million dollar execution fund, used to eliminate known or potential informers. 

Cournoyer was apprehended by Mexican police on Feb. 16, 2012 when he landed in Cancun for a planned vacation.

Cournoyer’s  Brazilian-Canadian model girlfriend,  Amelia Racine’s (at left) jailed brother, Mario Racine, was reported to be acting as the kingpin’s trusted lieutenant.

A Suggestion, and an observation and a bit of news

      With a bit of humility, and especially for the new readers who join us with increasing frequency, we would urge that the OROG, new or veteran, review the previous ten or so entries so as to become accustomed to El Gringo Viejo's sardonic nature, his satire, his humour, and his quirks.  At times the passing reader is taken aback because there still exists one last knuckle-dragging Neanderthal who has not agreed to be an politically correct,  eunuch drone....who also has a bit of a sense of humour.    We know that we have many pearls of wisdom to render but also that we have to deal people who feel strongly, but think weakly.
     So, with that said, we think that the preceding ten or so entries give the readers a bit of the eclectic nature of this commentator.   It is a bit unfair  because much of the time we speak with humour in mind.  And, the humour can be a bit dry and sharp.  We also know that our writing, as it seeks precision, can be dreadfully tedious for the eyes and mind.   This is especially when we are trying to be serious and contemplative.  The word being sought is probably .....boring.    But! Boring can be fun too.   So let's get right to it.

The Wisdom of El Gringo Viejo:

     For perhaps four months we have been pointing out that the corner had been turned against the rampant impositions by the cartel people of their will upon the populace.   Capricious, vicious, animalistic behaviour could erupt at any time and at any place.  Rich, poor, and in the middle....children, middle-aged, and the elderly....everybody was running a risk at any time of being caught up in a fire-fight.   Small and Large businesses....from a million pesos per year or a million pesos per hour in sales might be "taxed" at any time by a sub-human slug who would "collateralise" the payments by the businessman/woman's daughter's survival.    He would also be good enough to arrive every other month or so with an impressive accompaniment of gorilla-thugs with gold-handled p-38os or 45 semi-automatic showing in the waistband or belt.   He was also good enough to take his payments in cash.
     The constant application of military resources, repeatedly applied, in the midst of all uncertainty gradually began to have a largely un-anticipated positive effect.  Mexicans can endure almost anything.  But, beyond the Virgin of Guadalupe (Saint Mary of Tepeyac) Mexicans are fatefully pessimistic and sceptical.  This affects almost all Mexicans, regardless of class, mixture or lack thereof of bloodlines, or geographical placement.   So, when the clouds began to part, and real, live public safety improvements began to occur, it was like when no one wants to handle the fine crystal in the antique shop for fear of breaking it.
     But, it became more and more evident that, when confronted by the Mexican Army or the Mexican Naval Infantry the "invincible" cartel ''soldiers'' were in no wise a match for the military.   After several hundred major skirmishes, and several thousand significant armed contacts the scorecard reads  99.6% military and 0.4% cockroaches.
     Two things have been presented to the present reality in various places in Mexico, including the totality of the States of Tamaulipas.
         (1)  People are moving around almost exactly as they had before the inter-cartel and intra-cartel wars. It is not yet a perfect recovery, if anything be truly perfect.   But it is a palpable thing.

        (2)   The underpinning reason for the flood of Centroamericanos coming up to Reynosa is never mentioned.  One reason is because the people who know everything are unaware, apparently of the fact the El Gringo Viejo will fill in now;   the Centroamericanos understand that the State of Tamaulipas has been essentially placed under martial law and that there are four geographical divisions within the State, each with thousands of heavy infantry and support personnel.   That is why the Centroamericanos have chosen to come "up the pipe" through an area that they had been avoiding due to the very, very rough treatment parcelled out to the Centroamericanos, especially by Zeta Cartel people.
     Reinforcing this is the fact that the Centroamericanos are in the main arriving without "benefit of coyote" into Reynosa, and by following previously related experiences from friends and family are all but "landing" on the banks of the Rio Grande.  They then manage to cross with "jitney" river-taxis....inner-tubes, children's swimming pool blow-up "boats" , jet-skis, inner-tubes tied to a couple of 3 X 5 plywood sheets....it's das Wunderland of free enterprise.
     The many fewer coyotes than there used to be tried in the beginning to "receive" the Centroamericanos and regimentalise them into certain jeapordy of debt and perhaps even kidnapping, extortion, and/or sexual predation but there were too many people.  And then the various little factions and groupings of the coyotes began to be seriously distracted about six to eight weeks ago by matters very far beyond their control.  To wit:

     On Tuesday last, 21 July 2014 a pursuit began with six gang members that pertained to what used to be the Cartel del Golfo chasing down a fellow member from Reynosa to Rio Bravo to the east and then to the edge of the famous Gringo Tourist Mecca and still popular Nuevo Progresso community on the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo).  The lone individual was killed by the six gang members who then began to return to Reynosa.  In their haste, some of their friends had gone out and commandeer a couple of freight trucks, parked them to block traffic on the four-lane and then went out to meet their buds coming back from Rio Bravo.  Shortly they encountered a mobile machine gun platoon of Mexican Army.  This is a group of 18 fellows with armoured pickups mounted with a belt-fed machine gun.  All the personnel is armed with automatic rifles and accoutrements one associates with a professional soldier.   The soldiers confronted the gang members and demanded that they stand down, but were met with shots and menacing posturing and deployment for cover.   In less than one minute there were six dead gang members and three wounded and under arrest.
    During the rest of the afternoon and evening encounters occurred in Padilla about 30 miles from our adobe hut.  Results were similar, with another six dead.   Then, in Mier, up near Falcon Lake on the Rio Grande 8 gang members were confronted and they surrendered.  They had just arrived from San Luis Potosi State, fleeing Army patrols.  There were active wants and warrants on the eight of them, so they were cuffed and transferred to a detention on the edge of Monterrey.   Then near San Fernando, another Army patrol encountered five boys and one girl, also with wants and warrants, but this group did not desist and surrender.  Within one minute, they were all dead.  At about the same time four more gang members were fleeing towards the Rio Grande from the community of Valadeces, not far from our home in Mission but obviously on the other side of the Rio Grande. These four were then engaged in a frontal and rear attack, and failing to desist and surrender, they became one with the Cosmos.    All in all there were 16 killed when all was said and done, 9 arrested, and 6 or so wounded enough to be hospitalised.   The Army suffered two with minor wounds to the extremities.
     Of further interest is that the authorities announced that the leader of the 'insurrection' was  "El Aleman Comandante (the German Commander) Miquel Angel Salinas who is neither smart nor experienced was captured by the military a week ago, and his underlings....mainly 18 - 20 year old nobodies designed an "insurrection" that wound up getting ten or twenty per cent of the remaining cartel troops killed or sent off to major time.  "El Aleman" supposedly styled himself as the New Comandante of the Reynosa Cartel del Golfo chief...having replaced a previous "comandante" who was killed.  Glory was fleeting.

     The military is working on the snake pit of the underworld of Tampico - Madero in the far, southeasternmost corner of the State of Tamaulipas, once again with some success, albeit slower.   It is apparent, in any regard, that the patient was badly injured, but is making a vigorous recovery.

These are just a few of the happenings.  The cartel gangsters are killing each other and attempting to fight the Army and Naval Infantry.  All's right with the world.

     The first observation, or perhaps Sarah Palin would say, "You betcha!".....in terms of betting....which I do not do....one of the very few sins that I do not have....betting, lottery tickets, and all such ...but, the issue at hand is the following.

     Be it this day that people can come back to me and say, "You are a genius," or "You are a fool".  The reason is because I declare that there is a better than even chance that Barry Seotoro, aka President of the United States of America,  will resign the Presidency within six weeks of the United States Senate being taken over by the Republicans.   While there is no doubt that the GOP can commit enough suicide to jerk defeat from the jaws of victory, internals of both parties, especially in the critical States, show that the Democrat Party is scaling a glass wall with Wesson Oil on it and the incline of the glass is approaching 90 degrees(Straight up and down, for those OROGs who live in Rio Linda). 

     They are waiting at this time for the elections of  4 November 2014, hoping against hope  that some miracle can occur that will keep Harry Reid standing at the dike with all 57 fingers pushing back against any reasonable legislation.

     It is known that the Soetoros are shopping for an estate in foreign countries such as California, New York, Massachusetts, and (seriously) Cuba, and the Island of Rotan, a territory of Honduras in the Caribbean, and Jamaica.  There is some mention of Costa Rica, because it also has no existing extradition agreement with the Gringos.

     Barry would leave, of course, Uncle Joe Biden in charge as President, and it is possible that Biden will name Pocahontas Warren to serve as Vice-president.  The second choice would be a dolt like Herman Munster if Herman has finished bringing peace to the Israeli - Palestinian matter and dis-armed the Iranians again.   We have to forgive Herman's appearances on the Sunday Morning  Disinformation Media Circus.   He did set a new low point, even lower than Susan Rice who managed to tell an average of 27 whoppers per show on the Benghazi Serenade Show.   Herman told about the same number of whoppers, mixed with banal euphemisms and pointless snarking.   He also managed to make it through each programme by making absolutely no sense whatsoever and being very sincere about parking his yacht in Rhode Island because the tax is less there than in the Peoples' Democratic Republic of Chappaquiddick.   So we give him first place for being a whopperoo, obnoxious, ignorant, arrogant, and generally useless and despicable.  Sorry, Susan.

     Susan, Lurch, and Uncle Joe all bring to mind the question, "Just what was it that (Sir Edmund) Hillary  was supposedly to have done while she was....just think of it....flying all those miles as Secretary of all 57 States?"

Sheesh...what a bunch of ghouls and slugs.  But we do believe that if Barry Soetoro loses the Senate, he will resign and go on an extended vacay, with or without Michelle and her belles.  They will return and hide behind the protection of the Chicago legal system for a while.   But even Carol Mosely Braun, who was SOOOOOO offended because the Daughters of the Confederacy had requested a continuance of their charter to do relief work for Ist Gulf War Veterans....even Carol wound up mired in corruption charges, some of which she escaped by pleading stupidity (seriously).
