Something to keep the OROGs angry with me, and something to make up for it.

Concerning Heroes and also landing in Mexico clumsily:

      The reason Glen Beck needs to be taken in small doses is because, sometimes, his analysis and interpretation of things leaves a lot to be desired.  He leads of this morning, for instance, by picking on a cripple.  Let's beat up on Mexico for doing something dumboe like detaining one of our heroes for no good reason.

     We remember the recent case of the boy, also a recently discharged military man, who was held on the far, far other side of the frontier, over in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.   Fox News had to put up the obligatory picture of the boy "chained" to his bed in the detention in Matamoros.  He had been detained for having a 410 shotgun in his motorhome, along with a carton (20) boxes of ammunition.   We, although some might forget, gave 1% of the blame to the boy, 9% of the blame to the American customs people who told the boy that he just needed to declare the shotgun and ask for the permits and licenses as he went in to Matamoros.

     The other 90% of the blame I laid at the foot of the detaining officer in Mexico who probably received some form of insult (in his opinion) or an attempt to prevent his inspection of the vehicle (in his opinion).   That is my experience in these matters, and it traces to the point that both parties think they are totally empowered and within their authority and right.  In this case the Mexican federal customs inspector needed only to have ordered the vehicle, its contents, and the occupants to return to the American side, something they do with some frequency with those who have committed some breach of law or regulation and who avoided saying, "You can't do that to me, I'm an American citizen". 

    El Gringo Viejo is just telling the truth.  El Gringo Viejo has never been detained even in a precinct, much less a detencion or a juzgado....in Mexico.   And he has taken many, many people to Mexico with and without guns, legally.

     We were treated to the bloviating Irishman, O'Reilly who declared that he was going to get the boy out and if he wasn't out real quick then O'Reilly was going declare a boycott against all Mexican exports and on tourism to Mexico.

His bloviation was so severe that it almost derailed effective intervention that was essentially terminated, having been initiated by the Tamaulipas Chamber of Commerce and handled by a famous attorney of considerable note and of high regard in Tamaulipas and Mexico City.

     He was released.  The boy's medical conditions and temperament situation were clearly not adequate for him to have been anywhere outside the view of careful and considerate friends and relatives.   For instance, the reason he was "chained to his hospital bed" was because he had insisted on going back into the general population and reception area (not the place you would want your daughter or Mother Theresa, let us say) to settle a score with some guys with whom he had had a disagreement during his early moments under detention.   In my opinion, it was very probably better and best for his continued health to have kept him out of general population and the primary detention area.

     After the soldier's release, FOXNews junkies, of which El Gringo Viejo is a prime example, never really heard much about the boy.  Ever.  We would urge the public to think about why this is the case.  But one thing is very, very certain.   Nobody in Mexican officialdom gives a damn about what Bill O'Reilly say, thinks, or does.  Nor do they care very much about me in any way....which is the way I like it.
     And, if anyone out in OROG-land assumes that the United States State Department gives a damn about you when you have a problem in Costa Rica or Peoples' Democratic Republic of Throtekutia or even Japan or Mexico or Canada....we bid you well and a rosary.


     This new case is very similar.  And all the braying in the world will do no good.   It will be private agents...civilians, Mexican members of this Masonic Lodge, or that Lions Club or the Rotarianos  or the Damas Catolicas, or the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Tijuana and/or the State of Baja California who will do the necessary heavy lifting.  Not Glen Beck, not Bill O'Reilly....especially not.
     We need to point out two things that are being overlooked by our friends.  One is the facility where the boy is being kept.  The people in charge are from the Fuerza Civil, an elite and relatively new group established by the previous administration that has been substantially professionalised.  That portends very well for our soldier.   The other thing is that when he was calling and saying that he was surrounded by Mexican officials, he was obviously using a cellular telephone.  Normally cellular telephones from the United States do not work in Mexico, they stop working at the very inch-line of the border.  If in fact his was working in Mexico, that means it was bought there, or it was "chipped" in anticipation of needing it to work there, or he was not in Mexico when he was talking to his mother.   So, there is one enigma.
     Plus, Glen Beck reports that his people report that the prison where our new prisoner is was the scene of a group killing last year when Cartel people brought guns and dismissed the guards, went and found some of their Cartel's "soldiers" who were prisoners there and ordered them to go back inside and kill a certain nine or ten other prisoners who belonged to a different Cartel.    It is NOT the same prison.  That particular prison is the Apodaca - Cadereyta Federal Detention and Social Re-adaptation Centre almost totally towards the other side of the country....near Monterrey.  Facts are heavier than hot air, Glen. 


    Finally, on this point, it is easy to make fun and denigrate Mexico for all of this absurdity.  They deserve most of the derision.   But, remember that Hidalgo County of Texas has not had a Sheriff finish his term in office for the past three Sheriffs.  All are making licence plates or have been released after gaining a lot of experience making licence plates.  And, in terms of jail breaks and other indiscretions, the most corrupt Presidential administration in the history of the Republic, including Jackson, Grant, LBJ, and Clinton  is the one we have now.   Can anyone imagine releasing 40,000 felons including murderers, armed robbers, and all manner of cockroaches just because they are sad, depressed illegal aliens?   Ridiculous.  Preposterous.  Criminal in its own right.   And, once again, I would be glad to go and obtain the person presently detained in Tijuana, and have him in the United States in less than two weeks.....working solely for expenses.

On Heroism and Heroes:

   On the next point, it would behove all of us to not use the term "Hero" to describe any military person, or person who has worn the uniform, or who is wearing the uniform.  A hero, by definition is someone who feels compelled by an inner force to risk his life to the point of certain death, in order to save someone, especially his buddies in the same uniform or grouping, or others in imminent danger who have no hope beyond what would be done through the intervention of one who would risk his/her life.

     One could say, perhaps, that anyone who has stood service in a combat zone that by definition has no front....no enemy lines.....when the entire place is "the front".....could be serving in a heroic way.   But it is still not the proper designation.   Hanging around in Saigon was not like slogging in the Mekong Delta.....until the Tet Offensive happened.   Heroic things happened in both places at that time, and there were heroes.

     But, if you press me, I would say that a fellow with a bronze star could well be a hero.   Someone who came back from Viet Nam or Iraq or Kuwait or Afghanistan with a chest full of medals and no bronze star or higher should be saluted and recognised as an Honourable Soldier, Sailor, Marine, or Airman.  Even the guy back in Torremolino, Spain who was loading munitions for transfer....doing what he was ordered to do....he may not be a hero, but he is an honourable military man, doing correctly what he was needed to do.

    It  is a very small point, but it is just something that grates a little.   I know a few people who did heroic things, but refused or deferred from participating in fillingout the papers and making statements of concurrence about what they felt to be just their job.   For instance, El Zorro did things(perhaps he will write up a few chapters), for which he could not be "medalled", because some of the most dangerous things done were those assignments "out of theatre" or "out of country" which required personnel to be where there wasn't....so to speak.

Thank you all for allowing me to grumble, because sometimes an old curmudgeon just has to grumble.

     It is apparent to all reasonable observers at this point that the president and his administration are bound and determined to sabotage the American economic system by and all means and methods possible.   We can see the incessant attack upon the energy production, transport, and refining industries.  We took note of the  out-and-out theft of possession of General Motors and Chrysler by means of simply cancelling the validity and worth of the preferred stock held in those companies by investment groups on behalf of individual investors and by individual investors operating independently.

    It is apparent in the incessant increase in regulation, meddling, and arbitrary governmental whack-a-moe enforcement and oversight of legitimate economic activity.  Demagoguery is to be expected of lower class political operatives and "community organiser" agitators.   The combination of demagoguery, anarchism, and criminality is a bit more rare, but one would expect such from a person who counts Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn as close advisors and confidants.  Such an association is denied by creditable sources within the Obsolete Media such as CNN and the New York Times.   Ayres managed to beat a murder rap on a technicality and has since been involved in the indoctrination of pre-school to collegiate post-graduates in the value of communism and the worthlessness of America.  Ayers advocated that young people, back in the 1970s should ...."kill your parents, destroy their cars,  destroy their aparments....etc".   If becomes worse.    Ayers and his wife Bernadine were finally captured, being wanted on murder charges for having made and deployed various bombs that had killed and wounded several people.   Ayers also instructed in the making of a bomb that blew his first lady's head off al0ng with another communist terrorist: the bomb was intended for a USO dance for returning combat personnel that same night.   Ayers beat a possible capital murder charge because a court ruled that certain surveillance practices were inadmissible due to the lack of a properly styled warrant request.  Charges had to be dismissed due to the "fruit of the poisoned tree" rule of evidence.  Ayers's response? "Guilty as sin, Free as a bird.  America is a great country!"  he snickered.

    It is also beyond dispute by this point that Ayers wrote Barry Soetoro's "autobiographical" book "Dreams from My Father".   Considering that Barry cannot ad lib fifteen seconds when his teleprompter malfunctions, without senseless, epithet-shouting sloganeering, and fall-back gibber.    The similarity of style with Ayers's dull, predictable marxist bilge and dull predictable attempts at flourish, there is no doubt that Ayers wrote the "Dreams" book and perhaps even the other Obama ego-blast as well.

    So, remembering these associations....associations that completely and on many tiers of surrounded....cocooned...Barry Soetoro with Manchurian Candidate hypno-coaches.   Daily, hourly, inculcation with Bolshevik and (oddly) National Socialist policy....spread the wealth, income equality, one-percent own everything, capitalism is greed, racism, racism, racism.  It is a communist catechism.   These "hypno-coaches, or minders were in charge of brainwashing a small brain.   The set about having him appointed to prestigious but hollow positions.  They succeeded in having him elected to parliamentary positions where he could vote "present - in training".   They were  waiting to ambush another marxist during the primary processes that would choose between two hideously narcissistic, anti-American slugs to lead the Democrat Party in the 2008 general elections, and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge - appointed communist and ACORN minders won the day.   Considerable help was, of course, rendered by the Obsolete Media.
     The perfect circle of self-contradicting hypocrisy and ignorance flowered perfectly in the whole affair.   "We must nominate a moderate who can reach across the aisle.  Romney had to work at it, but he finally got in touch with his inner-moderate and managed to lose the election.  He followed the battle plan of his predecessor Col. Sen. John McCain.  McCain did the self-sacrifice, quick-draw foot-shot much better and more quickly.   And, they elected a real live Negro who had absolutely no ancestry that had any bearing on the black experience in America.  Because it was "Time" (to elect the abandoned son of a communist, anti-colonialist terrorist, misogynist, polygamist, drug addict, alcohol addict who did at least hate America at least as much as he hated women and white people before he died in a stuporous, drunken engagement with a banyan tree).

    Therefore, now we have a disaster at the Veterans' Administration unfolding.  Purposeful neglect, designed to gain bonuses for a few, and to purposely inflict pain, misery, and death upon veterans, because not too far down inside, Obama GS - 16 level and above central government employees hate America and any vestige of America's former military traditions, honour, and splendour.    Luckily, our contact with the VA has been very good to excellent.   Texas, however has a congressional delegation that is always involved in what is going on in Texas under the auspices of the central government.  There is no doubt in the mind of this writer that the abuse, to the extent that it exists, is purposeful due to an abiding hatred by the constituents of this administration and the middle and upper level appointees of this regime.

     The military has been back-burnered while more important national security issues are considered.  We must and should have greater interest in the accommodation of homosexuals and soon the reverse-re-transgendered and the ungendered. who must not be confused with the nongendered and the half-gendered and the other-than-gendered.


     There has been a budgetary disaster with Geitner who is an attempted tax-defrauder. He says that one of Barry Soetoro's top policy advisors told him (Geitner) to lie about how Social Security does not contribute to the running budget deficit.   Who really cares, and what difference does it make, when nobody in the White House, save for the service and physical plant people at the White House, give a flip about anything that has to do with Social Security, Budgets, and such matters?   The president and his "advisors'" only concern is to avail themselves of the money so long as it remains available so as to purchase votes.


     The driving of people from the workforce and into the ranks of the "disabled" under the liberal definitions now being made by the Social Security Disability programme has placed us in the position of having more employment-aged persons now out of the labour-force than there are people who are employed.  Amplification of the numbers of people loading up the grocery cart with the USDA free food for freeloaders programme indicate that 50,000,000 people are dining on the dime of the dummies who pay taxes and work or who own businesses.    "What's your  job, buddy?" one might ask.  "Well, I'm an eater," the other responds, and then asks, "Are you an eater, too?"


     "No, I guess that I am just a payer."  the Payer responds.


     "Bummer, Dude. Well, say...can you help me and my babymother with these four carts?"

     As this election-round approaches October and the November 4th election  day,  proposal after proposal will fly out of the Oval Office.   A minimum wage of 20.00/hour should be considered.  A 5,000 dollar per year direct payment to families below the poverty level will stimulate the economy.  People with M1 (cash and bank accounts), M2(treasuries, cds, other bonds, set asides for IRAs and other pensions, public and private) and M3(gold, silver, properties, and structures) will have to consider that they owe part of that wealth to the people who made that wealth happen.  A tax of the M1 and M2 of  3% per year, and no more, should be fair and tolerable for someone who has so much while the vast majority of the rest of us have so little. Gold and silver being held in private hands is a useless exercise and leads to hording and speculation that injures the overall economy.  Therefore, under pain of confiscation all people holding more than 50 dollars of gold in the form of bullion, coins, jewellery, dust, or in any form, as with silver, will be required to turn such metals over to the Internal Revenue Service.   Said Service is authorised now to enter the citizen's business, abode, or any place deemed necessary at any time day or night for the purpose of making an on-property assessment of gold and silver's presence on that property.   Unreported metals will be confiscated without recompensation and criminal charges can be made against whomsoever was holding such Gold and or Silver.

Poor Nancy.  Thank the little people. she does.   I remember her being a better Catholic than the Pope, when she gave thanks for the meal that her servants had prepared and served to the two or three hundred millionaires and billionaires who had gathered to fight the War on Women.  She prayed, so eloquently, "Thank You for the dirty dishes, They have a tale to tell.  Some folks are going hungry, While we're eating mighty well!  Amen!" 
    We all appreciated the setting with the Pelosi's vineyards, the landscapes, the little people who got to wash the dishes and serve all that Thunderbird she had  them put into the fancy French labelled wine bottles.

     We did the limbo that night until somebody's pants ripped, or so we thought.  It just turned out to be Nancy's face giving way again, and ripping from cheek to cheek and then right up over the top of her head, just like last time.   The lady who takes care of her, and keeps her medicines like the President with the nuclear football, she found Nancy's eye, but this time it was the left eye.  The Doctors came and essentially just packed her face with another semi-permanent papier-mâché surface shell, and the makeup artist came and painted on that wild-eyed, insane-madwoman look that is so becoming for her.

Many Major and Minor Topics: GNPs, segregation, un-used wealth, VA and Obamacare, Settled Law and Science

      During the past couple of days, we were engaged with a group of screeders who come from the Fabian School of Utopian Planning.   It was a London area university club blog...official or not El Gringo Viejo knew not.  We made the mistake of saying that Mexico's GNP is now greater than each of the following three countries: Canada, Russia, and Spain.

    It was "War On".   Ridiculous, preposterous!!  Do not engage on this website if you are not prepared with correct and reliable figures and research!! the "wise  ones" shouted.

    After a bit of back and forth, El Gringo Viejo won his point, as usual, because he is better looking than people who celebrate communal snaggle-tooth disorder.  Canada's and Russia's Gross Domestic Product is even lower than the rating of the Gross National Product due to a slight falloff of the Canadian Dollar against the America Dollar and the Mexican Peso.   Russia's position is essentially, in currency exchange evaluation terms, nearly catastrophic:

     Spain's position is similar to Russia's, with unemployment hovering around 20% and industrial activity going down during the last two years.   Once again, a dollar that is less weak than the Spain's economy is weak for many reasons, and the Mexican peso is less weak than the dollar.   Up-shot?  From the statistics that El Gringo Viejo's detractors were using, they were essentially using guns with no cartridges.  After their admonitions against you humble servant, one of the miscreants admitted that he had been using data from the 2005 period, showing Mexico with a Gross Domestic Product of a little less than 600 billion dollars.   Even that figure was incorrect, far too low,  but at least my detractor apologised to my one ally and me. We await both the GNP and GDP figures that will be posted next year, and we shan't be overly surprised if Mexico moves ahead of Brazil, a nation 70% larger in population and 4.5 times larger in land area.

     The adjusted figures coming out in 2015 should reflect Mexico with a GDP and GNP on either side of  2.2 trillion dollars, the GDP a little less and the GNP a little more.  Texas will be just shy of that, and Canada should be just shy of Texas.   That is our best analysis at this time....and yes we are floating fresh statistics, numbers, and trends.

HOLDER, MICHELLE, AND HILLARY BEGIN LA BEGUINE:

And now we have the beginning of the new attack on the sensibilities of the Republic.   Valerie Jarrett has issued the new secret talking points to be flopped in front of the lap-dogs with press passes and the low information and low intelligence "community".  Eric the Red, Michelle, and (Sir Edmund) Hillary have all waddled, stumbled, and man-walked to the podiums of higher learning and august forums to decry their new discovery.    The One Per cent, in league with The Tea Party have dog-whistled to their mind-numbed robots that all the coloured folks need to be put back into segregated schools.

The fearless three-some discovered this New Segregation Order given out "one frosty morn" not only in Dixieland, but throughout the fruited plains and from sea to polluted and rising sea.   All is lost, unless the Democrat base turns out just this one last time before Father Obamaham can finally, once and for all, establish the perfect society where everyone is equal and a kind ruler can issue hundreds of edicts every day to keep making a perfect situation even better.

This Dog-Whistle Plan Number IV of the radical right wealthy Republicans to return black children to segregated schools is just the last of many Dog Whistles and Night Rides that the Tea Party and the Republican National Committee  have started up in order to keep the oppressed peoples from gathering up just a few small crumbs from under the table of the Koch Brothers.   But we caught them, declare Eric, Michelle, and (Sir Edmund) Hillary and they assure their wards that they ain't no ways tired.   It doesn't matter how long the road is....60 years more...600 years more....they are going to make sure that every black child gets to sit beside a stinking white dog, klanner-trash, cracker-redneck.    You gotta love it.

It is doubtful that Michelle's children, nor Eric the Red's children, and certainly not Chelsea would have ever sunk to the level of sending their children to non-public schools while they grazing at the meadow of the  public trough.   Further, in the new rule-by-decree, third-world, organic law ambience that is the Executive Branch of the central government in these days, the Secretary of Education and the Attorney General have made it clear that there can be no denial of attendance at any public school due to some little thing like being in the United States illegally.   If there is any failure to abide by this advisory....we're comin' to git you.   The childish, bossy, and heavy handed notice that went to all public school districts in the United States last week is not worth doing a copy/paste for this blog.   Infuriating.

Along with the Department of Education, Eric Holder’s Justice Department is reminding public schools in no uncertain terms that they are obligated to provide all children with an education regardless of their immigration status.
In an apparent attempt to clarify existing guidelines, the federal government sent a letter to schools indicating the agencies are “aware of student enrollment practices that may chill or discourage the participation, or lead to the exclusion, of students.”

The letter emphasizes how loose the restrictions are regarding what type of documentation schools are required to accept, basically meaning there is no excuse for questioning why a child obviously in the country illegally is receiving taxpayer-funded schooling and/or child care.
“We want to be sure every school leader understand the legal requirements under the Constitution and federal laws,” the letter states, “and it is our hope that this update will address some of the misperceptions out there.”
One is hard pressed, however, to find any mention of the government’s responsibility to provide free education to criminal inhabitants within the structure of the U.S. Constitution. In any case, the letter goes on to spell out requirements in no uncertain terms.
“The message here is clear,” it read, “let all children who live in your district enroll in your public schools.”
Parents of children with only a foreign birth certificate are given ample leeway in providing alternative ‘documentation,’ including an entry in a family Bible, for instance.
Holder and other leftist leaders are determined to integrate illegals completely into society to the extent that actually holding them accountable for their crimes would not only be nearly impossible, but in itself an illegality.
Ensuring the next generation of criminals is indoctrinated within the public school system is one vital step in achieving that goal.

   Nobody wants to go to a school where the enrollees are drawn from multigenerational public assistance.  Normal people do not like the filth, the animalism, the lewdness, the disease, the trash, garbage, litter and the violence, and so they leave if at all possible.   The schools are not so much segregated by race or ethnicity, but by values.   The cure is to stop all public assistance, obviously.  Some might even starve, but I doubt it.  The next is to segregate the schools by sex, impose a dress code, and a code of clean language.  And to abolish any notion of unions for teachers, janitors, coaches, administrators, or bus drivers or anyone drawing a paycheck or consultancy payment from the school district.  Of course, it would be very nice to go back to the six years of primary and three years of secondary for a High School Diploma.   Twelve years is ridiculous.

     Special notice to Eric and Michelle and (Sir Edmund)Hillary:   While this writer opposes and has always opposed government enf0rced segregation and government enforced integration of schools on any supposed plan of racial and/or ethnic balance,  there might be a reason for the sudden discovery of newly "segregated public schools" now.   Because the National Socialist Democrat Labour Party's insistence, and with the acquiescence of the ''reasonable, willing to cross the aisle Whig party",   we have carved out a body of hellions and essentially abandoned people and totally dependent women and children.   They are those of the multigenerational dependency upon public assistance.

     But, you will do nothing, save demonise "the system" and/or "the white conspiracy" and/or "the scent of magnolia blossoms when the nightriders pass by", etc.   You have to produce your base of consumers to vote again so that you can sit on top of them and give them crumbs, while you damn our base who are producers, and who wish well and good, and the glory derived from self-sufficiency for all people.

    Segregation....puh - leaz?   Go sit in the back of the bus that did not exist in Hope, Arkansas with Billy Jeff, and help him count the burning churches.    What a bunch of demagogues and liars.

VETERANS' ADMINISTRATION:

We need to call attention to the wonders of the central government's involvement in providing health services to the public.  The Veterans' Administration has become mired in the mess that normally affects public employee enterprises.   Doctoring documents, in this case, instead of doctoring patients.  El Zorro has had a good relationship with the VA.  My son as well.  But we are in Texas.   Texas is a different thing when one is dealing with matters pertaining to the military and/or military personnel.  The VA is going to be better here, warts and all, than almost any other place. Pardon the chauvinism. 

    The VA has only an excellent rating from 37% of its universe of clients and family members of clients.   Quite frankly, it should be 96%.   And perhaps, we should move to a system wherein each branch of the service looks after those who have gone before.   Something haunts at my innards, thinking that it just seems as if the Army people will do well by the Army people, the Coast Guard for the Coast Guard, etc.

But what we have is something that is truly in need of serious if not radical reformation and overhaul.  The pay and benefit rates are relatively low, and one of the big advantages that a person picks up having been honourably discharged is, or should be...yea, must be....that the veteran be given superior medical consideration through his lifetime.

The insult to the American sensibility to have "fired" some old fool that was less than one month away from retirement after a career of being, apparently pretty much a pimple on the side of a cold sore for a few score years of industrial strength minimalism.

El Gringo Viejo was also humoured by the poobahs of the administration declaring at each point, that "....Yes!  I am very angry with this report!"   Such a construct of a stupid sentence is either the most sophomoric attempt at a play on words that sound like one thing and mean another, or it means what it says.  In other words, when some doofus spokesman say that the president is "...angry with the report!",   that is probably more the "true truth". Barry the First would have been just as happy not to have had any report at all.   Things leaked out before he could deep-six any evidence and redact the memos and emails and meeting reports.....so, of course, he would be ...."angry with the report."

SETTLED LAW AND SETTLED SCIENCE :

     When some raving jackass sticks his chin out and looks with a gaze that is a mix of exasperation and aloofness, and then declares, "You people are going to have to move on, because the Affordable Care Act is settled law.   There is no going back" one has two certain correct reactions.

     (1)  If that mindset becomes the norm of the ruling class and/or the body politic, the urgency for Texas to remove itself from the American union is beyond imperative.

     (2)  Any person saying such a thing is a braying jackass.   One could gently point out to the braying party that at one time the several United States voted in due Constitutional process to prohibit the production, transport, sale, warehousing, and/0r imbibing of alcohol in any of its many presentations. 

   These folks pictured on your left are most probably in Eastern Tennessee, and very close to our ancestral home-grounds, somewhere between Winchester and the Smokey Mountains, Rocky Top, and all that nice stuff.  The year is about 1922.  These folks are, quite obviously making moonshine: sour-mash, corn likker.  All quite illegal.

     But by 1934, various distilleries and breweries and importers of spirits, saloons, warehousers, exporters of spirits were back at the business of alcohol.  Why?  Because another Amendment to the Consitution, meant to overturn the Prohibition, had been passed .

     So much for settled law.   And with the Constitution and the Amendments thereto....it still shows that there never really is such a thing as "settled law".

     Then we have the issue of "settled science".  Palaeontologists just uncovered the bones of a brontogigantus.   No such beast had ever been encountered in all the studies of palaeontology.   The discipline knew that there could be nothing bigger on land than the brontosaurus ....now they have to go back and write a correction, and send apologies to PMSNBC, Oprah, and Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and any number of other useless old fossils.

     We are going to begin the count of the 500 days from the time the announcement was made that we only have 500 days left; definitively 500 days before the end of the existence of Planet Earth if we do not adopt the Neanderthal "brave new way". 

      NOW!   Of course, the only ones exempted from this necessary life-style change are people living in the countries that actually do significant polluting.   This means, of course, that the entire Global Climate Change issue is meant to neuter the western democracies and to transfer what little wealth might be left after over-taxation to the advanced countries like Bomboblatflabia and Lower East Southern Kazoobubbuistan where the national pastime is blowing up each other's mosques and/or exporting junk to the United States that breaks the first time it is used.

 Linda, you know that I am a right-wing crazy, a Texas Nationalist, and all of that. I try to save the blog,  A Gringo in Rural Mexico, for such political commentary....but we usually fail.

       But, Dr, Carson has two problems. He is a way-past-the-norm true genius in a hard scientific theatre. And, yes I know that the practice of medicine and surgery is also an art. His other problem is that he will be shredded up by howitzers at close range by the Obsolete Media. Gloria Alred will come out with six or seven women who will be seen once or not at all, and they will make charges of sexual abuse, perversion, and/or affairs, and brutality. It is how the left operates, and they still have the hard case progressives and marxists with whom the present president and his cabal of leftists have ruled and had immunity from the law and from the precepts of logic and decency.

     A Black man or woman must be destroyed if they speak from the platform and precept of common law, natural law, and conservative governing and cultural positions. The present progressive construct of political control requires that all black people must vote Democrat and should be on public assistance to the greatest extent possible. It is the way they control their plantation...and they do it with other peoples' money. To a lesser extent they will do the same against the conservative Latino element, although in this particular election in Texas is it very probable that the majority of Latinos will vote slightly in the majority for the GOP candidates. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, BASED UPON WHOMSOEVER THE DEMOCRATS CHOOSE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT, AND YOU KNOWING THAT I HAVE NEVER VOTED DEMOCRAT IN ANY ELECTION SINCE MY FIRST VOTES IN 1968 (remember I was the youngest graduate of the Bulldog Class of 1964), I WOULD VOTE FOR Dr. CARSON BY PREFERENCE OVER ANY OF THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES BEING MENTIONED AT THIS TIME.

     I would also vote for Governor Christi before any known or reasonably possible Democrat candidacy. That is the range of perfect to better than a Democrat that I have in my pipe to smoke at this time. I am a Confederate, a Conservative, and a Texian Nationalist. I am also totally comfortable with the idea of a Carson Presidency and voting for Dr. Carson, and working for him as a candidate.

 

   I hope this answers your question. I am glad you are reading his book, but it might shift you two or three small steps slightly to the right. You are a very smart girl
