Too much 'pologizen' goin' on

   We have really, really come to the conclusion that there is just too much false apologising going on.  We see this activity as an adjunct to the adherence to a civil discourse that, in truth, has never truly existed in the coming together of concept and platforms that are mutually exclusive.

     At one time there was the debate about whether to have a Parliament headed by a Prime Minister, and a Government headed by a different King George....these discussions and arguments were much deeper and wider than most people know in these days because their existence is but briefly mentioned if at all.   Perhaps, every now and then, when there is time to break away from the  study of the History of Lesbian Vegetarianism in the Repressive Puritanical Period at the College of Women's Studies there might have been mentioned that a government for the American Union after a lot formed after a lot of very hot debate, "....sometime back whenever".




     Billy Jeff Blyth and (Sir Edmund)Hillary are two people who have howled about the poor treatment they have received from the press and about the mean things people say about them.  They interpret an abiding disgust for their whitetrash posturing and thier dedication to saying one untrue thing after another as a "right-wing conspiracy"
     Their  hideous personal lives and manoeuvrings, covered up to the extent possible by the typically lap-dog marxist press remained pretty much off limits to "correct topics" as defined by the White House in those days. Anyone who suggested that the Rodham-Clinton team was morally devoid and ethically absent would almost immediately be savaged by Hillary's moles digging stuff up out of absolutely confidential FBI raw data files.   These files are so protected that having even one, with the seal still one, in ones unauthorised possession can, and has, readily resulted  in three years of prison.   Unless one is (Sir Edmund) Hillary and the Attorney General at the time is Janet Reno or the totally disgusing and corrupt Eric Holder.  
     The same applies these days of whomsoever should determine to offend any of the "vacas sagradas" or "toritos sagraditos" that might be dear to the Progressives and marxists.




     My position is that we should say strongly what we mean strongly.  Pundits and cartoonists in the pre- and post-colonial era, and durng the entirety of the American political experiment, have avoided few adjectives or adverbs, and almost every decent and indecent noun in the description of their adversaries.   Now, we must be so reserved....especially if one is on the right.
     Imagine poor cousin Rush having to apologise for intoning, instead of the word 'slug' as he probably meant to do, that Miss Flukie is a 'slut' for requiring that my daughter and granddaughters pay for her recreational prophylactics.  Some 3,000 dollars worth per year.   Well, on first thought, any girl who feels like she needs 3,000 dollars worth of prophylactics for her amorous or lustful pursuits in one year....really is a 'slut'.   Then again, if she is wealthy but still expects other people to pay for for her personal supply of prophylactics, she is a self-consumed slug, cheapskate, barnacle, parasite, an arrogant trollip, a twit and a presumptuous snip.  Or perhaps even a rapid-fire, serial monogamist.  And by the way, if her boyfriend is such a trust-fund baby and he and Miss Flukie can bum-around, five star style in Europe, and she's so hot...then why doesn't he pay for such things?


    Imagine the outcry now, if as in 1884, Governor Christie were to accuse Ted Cruz of being a member of a party and from a region the espoused "Rum, Romanism, and  Rebellion".  That is from the  Republican forces backing Governor Blaine for President, with the Rev. Mr.  Samuel Dickenson Burchard doing the speaking, a Presbyterian  mind you, used language like that.

 I had the  mumps."
   That was after the  assault.

    The contradictions were wonderful, in that he denigrated Dixie, that troublesome province down there somewhere, the Roman Catholic Church and the Roman Catholics, who weren't at that time totally affiliated with much of anyone except the Irish, and people who liked their brews and spirits.  The South, of course, was pretty much "dry" as a general practice, in spite of the production of hundreds of thousands of barrels of legal and illegal whisky every year.    It's a shame that he did not throw in the pro-silver and free-soiler   people, and Suffragists (as suffragettes and the movement was called then),  either pro or con just to open a possible new line of alliteration.

    Imagine poor Comic strip author Trudeau, now incapacitated for some reason or another, but back then he could actually have drawn George W. Bush with a dog doing wee-wee on his leg.  Or consider this fine political artwork on the left being applied to Anthony Weiner or Billy Jeff or Jesse Jackson.  But , of course, the one on the left was done during that prim time of the Victorian Period, when people "just didn't act like that or talk about those things".  Blaine's people, the Republicans., tired of the other side's innuendo and slander, began a chant based on the story that Garfield the Democrat had fathered a baby without benefit of clergy.  The chant was a sing-song, "Ma! ma! Ma! ma!, Where's my Pa?"   After Garfield won the 1884 election, the song went,

     It should be pointed out that Garfield did arrange for first an orphanage, and later for the upkeep of the mother with the child, for whom he provided from that time forward.  


    Almost Cassius Clay level poetry, but it made some people feel good and other feel bad, and such is the way of free speech.   Now someone would have to come out the next day and say, "If anyone took offence at what they thought I might have said, I am very sorry for them."

New Offensive in Northeastern Mexico by Government and Military - Proloque

    Observations and comments are exclusively from El Gringo Viejo, and are not submitted to any agency or individual for amendment or approval.   These are the perceptions, experiences, observations, and information collected by El Gringo Viejo by passive enquiry of civilian and military personalities in the Tamaulipas Theatre of Operations.

     During the past three weeks, another outbreak of senseless violence re-occurred in Tamaulipas State of Mexico situated in the northeastern corner of the Republic.   For the past 18 months, the fruits of efforts for five years began to pay off in quick order with numerous arrests, detentions, deportations, and killings of numerous cartel members and ranking personalities.   A citizens' revolt against the "elements of organised crime" as the government's euphemism refers to them, in the west-central State of Michoacán caught everyone off-guard, especially the "elements of organised crime". 

    The destruction of the hierarchy and most of the rank and file of the group stupidly and offensively named The Knights Templar (Los Caballeros Templarios) was accomplished by that citizens' militia numbering some 20,000...or roughly two light-infantry divisions....and the Mexican Army and the Mexican Naval Infantry

    Other victories were had over cells, large and small, and against major personalities such as El Chapo Guzman of the western area Sinaloa Cartel.   There seemed to be a rush of successes, more like 10 steps forward and 1 step back ratio and the social ambience of Mexico has changed for the better and remains at that level now.   Much credit is due to the previous administration's willingness to literally bite the bullet and fully mobilise against the counter-cultural forces.  Mexico was probably, in my opinion, about four years away from a 197os Beirut - Lebanon like anarchy.   Therefore, it is my opinion that the administration that brought Mexico back from the edge of a very bad precipice was the PAN government of Felipe Calderon Hinojosa.
     The present President has done some typical centrist party things, but in the broad brush matters he has continued Mexico's push into the direction of privatisation of anything that does not work well under government ownership or control.   His brightest jewel in the crown at this moment is the doubling down by the military upon these wanton groups of subhumanity known are cartels, pandillas, and their halcones (falcon and hawk-like lookouts),
    At this point, most if not all of the areas of the Yucatan, most of the central colonial highlands, centred where one finds Guanajuato State, and the adjacent States of Queretaro, Zacatecas. Jalisco, and Aguascalientes are in very good to excellent shape.  Michoacán, with the destruction of the Familia Group and the "Knights Templar" Group might be nearing normal condition within the year....so long as brutal pressure is maintained against the miscreants.


     Every region and almost all States, to my knowledge are at their previous peaceful level or have improved markedly from their low points in 2012.   If the reader is waiting for a "but, ", there really is none.  If one asks, "Then what about the recent flare-ups in Matamoros, Reynosa, Cd. Victoria, and the Tampico areas of Tamaulipas State?  Isn't your place out there in the middle of nowhere, right in the middle of all of those places?  Don't you have to drive through all of that just to make it there?"
    .....the correct response is, that what occurred two weeks ago was, except for the loss of one Army soldier, two Federal Civil Policemen, a heavily decorated State Police Inspector leading an Army unit,  a taxi driver, and another civilian at an intersection in Reynosa, is that the flare up was pretty much just that.
    
    I am angered and distraught over the loss of the civilians, constabulary and military.  But the fact remains...They won.  Again. For these losses they (the organized criminal element) exchanged 22 of their own.  In each confrontation, 90 per cent of the attackers were killed.  Ten per cent were wounded and captured.  Among the dead was the last of the original Zetas, and the only one who had not deserted from the Army, but rather had resigned his enlistment.   And he was the only one known to have still been alive.


    The residual bands and cliques of lower range cartel people do not have the strategic vision, nor even much tactical ability, to effectively operate large scale criminal activity.  This was evident two week-ends back when a pick-up or mini-van of four delinquents would attempt to assault a convoy of 30 or 40 heavy infantry with very advanced military skills and weaponry, including Barrett guns and belted 50 calibre machine guns and other resources.   It is sincerely a form a profound stupidity or suicide.   There is no other explanation.  It has been happening with increasing frequency over the past year and a half.




    Further, the events of two weekends ago were mainly a contention between which of the rag-tag residuals were going to hold sway over the previously lucrative channels of export of human misery....drugs and slavery/extortion in the handling of mainly what are now Central American illegal entrants into the United States.  It is a miserable business, and daily in Hidalgo County of Texas we have one, two, or three 'safe houses' liberated by police, who find 20 to 80 people jammed into houses of all descriptions....huts to mansions.


   On the other side of the Rio Grande, the Mexican military liberates people being held for extortion payments (essentially kidnap ransom), held for days without anything but the most minimal food and water, no bathroom or facilities, while the family in Tegulcigalpa looks around trying to find whatever 3,000 dollars American is.  What do they do?  Go to the corner and ask a guy, "Say buddy, can you spare me  50,000 Mexican pesos?"   For an Honduran family, that would be around an annual income.....three or four thousand dollars.


    So, all in all, it was a futile effort by about 300 disparate, multi-headed, lower-caste and lower intelligence individuals to try to re-impose something like the shadowy, terroristic,  night-time reality of two years ago in these areas.  They are having difficulty in recruiting, and the new bunch does not seem to have the ability to be so depraved as to simply slaughter 40 or 60 or more Central Americans who will not carry bundles of weed or bricks of cocaine over the Rio Grande.   Then there is another thing on the near horizon.

Yesterday:

      During the two days previous to this one, there was a long, long meeting held in Reynosa, and chaired by the Secretario de Gobernacion, Miquel Angel Osorio Chong.

     Present were the governors of the States of Nuevo Leon,  San Luis Potosi, Coahuila, and Tamaulipas.  Osorio Chong did not come on a listening tour.   He came to reward the good works and then to declare that a new offensive is to take place.   Some of the military resources and other assets of the government and elements of foreign authority, were going to work to contain the greatest number of members of "organized crime entities" and force them into the State of Tamaulipas.   The State is going to be divided into five main governmental and administrative districts.  Matamoros area, Reynosa area, Victoria-Cuesta de Llera area. Tampico-Madero-Alta Mira, and then in the far south of the State, Cd. Mante - Antiguo Morelos.

     Each area will be commanded by an admiral of the Navy or a general of the Army.  Each would be responsible for imposing and maintaining absolute civil tranquility in his area.   Lacking civil recourse, each general officer will have the authority to impose detentions and to declare martial conditions in any given area.   There are bodies of federal prosecutors and investigators who will stand ready to receive any and all who are taken alive and who are arrested under various statutes pertaining to family health and criminal felony conspiracy.   All detentions will be moved to prisons in and around the Mexico City.

    Then, the objective of these measures is to restore the area to a level of delinquency that was common in the period before the cartels, or lower.   The objective is to minimize the military and police casualties and to eliminate the effects of cartel violence upon the general population.   Patrols of major highways and byways will be quadrupled and military presence over-all will be tripled.  The Secretary is apparently taking advantage of the fact that the same or slightly more troops can be deployed more effectively now that such large areas pf the Republic have been essentially pacified.
 

     The mission for our area, Cd. Victoria and 100 kilometres in radiua in all directions  is very clear.  Organised crime is to be degraded into nothingness.   There are estimates of up to eight more regiments and support troops coming into the State of Tamaulipas.   The Governor will be essentially displaced except as a ribbon cutter and a signer of ''authorisations'.   So we shall see what happens,  next.  With no particular humility, allow us to state that our assessments to this point have been better than any others.   We think that these measures will serve to further degrade the residual semi-organized criminal element.  It is like grinding rocks into sand.  Squashing and crunching each flake and fragment until it no longer has any shape or form, and until it is, quite frankly no longer living nor capable of procreating is the hope of all, truth be known.


(as a special note, we have corrected in the first paragraph the phrase "west-central State of Guanajuato to west-central State of Michoacán four times now, and it keeps changing back.   Please bear with us)

Potpourri - several topics with brief comments

     There are several issues that call out for comment and conjecture.  In lieu of rambling on for 5,000 words, we shall strive to make brief, and we hope a bit different interpretation of such issues, still with adherence to principles of non-governmental intervention, self-reliance, and liberty.

COMMON CORE:

     Perhaps Barry Soetoro could retitle this as "Common Corpse" and make it all better.  The three "teachers"  who have their advertisement on various television channels are very adept at reading their scripts.  The message is easy to understand.   The opponents of Common Core are retro-Neanderthals  who are political extremists, John Birchers even, and know-nothings who resist not only change but improvement.   They point out that Common Core is not a governmental programme, but a complex of education objectives that rose up in the hinterland, and put together....wouldn't we know it...by educational professionals.

     So, the moderate forces that pushed this idea forward, very rapidly, are those like the National Education Agency.   Like Planned Parenthood has little or nothing to do with parenthood or the planning thereof, the NEA has little or nothing to do with education.   It is a group dedicated to indoctrination of America's youth with secular humanist, anti-traditionalist ideas.  It is also totally committed to the idea that teaching is some kind of right, a profession generally immune from the vagaries of the work-place, such as having to produce or be terminated.   It is also one of those self-feeding monsters that takes from its members so as to perpetuate itself and to forward a socialist, secular humanist, egalitarian, and generally hopeless, stolid  culture.

     It is designed to denigrate the notion that there are absolute truths and moral codes.  And, it is adamant about elevating all nature of acceptance of what many people feel to be antithetical to the good of humanity and to moral codes, that if practiced, lead to rewarding and positive lives.   Common Core is based on the teaching of tolerance for everything except Judeo-Christian values classical education designed to produce people capable of critical thinking on their own.

     Common Core is certainly designed by a cabal of "experts" who have developed a bastard from Hell that is fathered by the disastrous "Teach to the Test" system of "No Child Left Behind" (proof that George Bush II was more than just a closet extreme moderate progressive) and mothered by the LGBT, progressive, and socialist secular humanist cabal.   There is no better proof than to point out that while they ridicule the "teaching-to-the-test" concept so fully relied upon by No Child Left Behind, the advocates of the new panacea double-down on the concept.   Reason?   Common Core is not an instruction system for a liberal, individual centred, general education,  but rather an indoctrination and propagandisation  protocol.  It deals exclusively in concepts of "the collective" and ridicules the concept of the "exemplary man/woman or the individual as a sovereign. 

     It is an extension of the same thing that has gone on in the churches being used as instruments to establish "liberation theology" and extreme leftist political orientation as some kind of canon.   Common Core fits, hand in glove, with the offensive by the Girl Scouts of America to become "more relevant" to  progressive goals and tolerance.   It helps pave the path into perversion as a norm and into the ridicule of traditionalism as a positive thing for America such as the opening of the Boy Scouts of America to homosexual scoutmasters and members, OR ELSE!    The progressives do not allow dissent.   They require that the traditionalists shut up, and further that they listen and comply.   The offensive is being conducted on all fronts.

     It will have, and does now have, central government endorsement and backing.  Already the central government's Department of Education is insinuating, as well as following through with, reprisals for failure to implement and implement correctly the overall intent of Common Core.

     El Gringo Viejo's godmother said, sixty years ago, that if McAllen Independent School District were to accept "free" contributions help establish the school lunch programme from the USDA the government would be in the position to blackmail the school district in all manners of policy.   As an elected member of the local school board of trustees she railed against acceptance of the programme, declaring that it would be the nose of the camel in the Bedouin's tent on a cold night.   And she predicted that,"....before that night is over the Bedouin will be sleeping under the stars in the cold and the camel will be warm and toasty, sleeping on antique Persian, Afghan, and Middle Eastern rugs and wovens."

   Considering the number of rules, regulations, demands, and conditions public schools must adhere to in these days, OR ELSE, there is only one thing that can be said of my Godmother's observation, vote, and position:   She was

right.

    Common Core is a hand on the arm of Lucifer.

ASTROTURF RISES:

    Sasse, the Republican Nominee for the United States Senate, can win the General Election if he makes no grievous errors like saying, "There is a God." or worse, "It is self-evident that a family growing up in a home with a father and mother has a greater chance of stability and social progress".   As a side note, there are Democrats now in the United States Senate, now seeing the noose, are begging for an "altar call".   McConnell could have smoozed five or six senators into an agreement to overturn the Obama Socialised Medicine Initiative.

    (side note)   There have been snarly, snarky statements about the notion that the crummy Republican general plan for helping restrain pricing issues in the medical field is to abolish central government prohibitions concerning the cross - border sales of health-care coverage by insurance companies.  The socialists and central control Control Freaks almost howl with laughter about the idea.

     "Where would all these companies come from?   Who are they?  Are these smaller insurance companies even relevant in terms of assets and insurance strength?   Hahahahaahhaaa .   Dream on, One Per cent people!"

     In Texas there are many, many smaller companies that are so popular with their clients that many of their clients are fourth and fifth generation.   And we are not talking about insurance brokers and agents' sales offices.  We are talking about 100 year old life and casualty companies.

    The elites continue roaring with laughter....Hahahahahaha.  

    But suddenly, El Gringo Viejo comes in through the swinging door, quieting the rabble within.    He strides to the bar and turns to people who had been previously laughing about the idea that there are numerous small and medium-sized insurance companies who would be willing to write out-of-state policies.

      "You all seem to be pretty happy.  Are you laughing about the idea of buying  health-care insurance across State borders?" EGV questioned as he observed who might have an itchy trigger finger and some iron to scratch it on.

      "Whoever heard of such a thing?  It's just like takin' a Mexkin pin~ ata to some kid's birthday party and filling it full of shredded newspaper instead dof candy!" and once again twenty or thirty, still pretty sober, patrons broke into a hearty laughter.

      "I just came back from Texas.   I'll name a couple of companies, and if you all can prove me wrong to-morrow with a wire contradicting what I say from the companies that I shall name now, I will give each person here a one peso Mexican in silver,  and I shall write down their telegraphic address here, and leave it on this bar.   One company is Hochheim Life and Casualty in Yoakum, Texas and the other is Hermann's Sons Fraternal Order. There are probably fifty others.  These two are small and very potent.  You'll see me to-morrow at this same time.  If any of you present a telegraph saying that what I am saying is incorrect, each of you will have one Mexican silver peso in your pocket when I leave, plus another 5 dollar greenback to pay the guy who sent the telegraph," and with that EGV turned on his high-heeled boot and strod to and through the swinging doors once more.

     The next day, at the same time, El Gringo Viejo passed through those same doors for the third and next-to-last time.   The bartender looked over, smiled and shrugged his shoulders, while shaking his head in a negative gesture.  EGV tipped his hat to him, and went back outside, mounted up and headed over to the Culberson Ranch, about 4 miles south of town.

(And yes, Virginia.  There really are two companies with those names still working here.  And the people who are their customers swear by them.)

MEXICO CITY - TOLUCA WEATHER :

     AlGore and the Globalwarmingcoolingclimatechangewe'reallgonnadie crowd are probably not  going to be overjoyed to learn about the hail/snow storm that hit in that high area between Mexico City and Toluca, capital of the State of Mexico to the west of Mexico City about 50 miles.   Mexico City is situated at 7,300 fasl and Toluca at 8,400 fasl, connected by quite a fine six to up to ten lane toll-expressway.   But yesterday, not so much.   A hail-storm hit, something that is more or less not comment-worthy during this time of the year.   But then things became colder and colder, finally falling into the range of 30F for a considerable distance down to the relatively lower elevations.  The pass between the cities tops out at around 9,600 feet.  Peaks, including the herein pictured Nevado de Toluca (Snowed One of Toluca) go as high at 17,000 fasl.    But, I diverge....this was yesterday:

the perpetually cold city in Mexico.  And yes, there is a bit of glaciation up
there.  It is snow topped year around most years.

Another Advisory from Extreme Central Texas

While this was sent from Extreme Central Texas,
 this actual firearms dispensary is in Katy, Texas
 not far from Houston, out west on the IH - 10.

    Houston is a funny place, and not my favourite choice
as hometown, but we can point out that Houston has
 three times as many Black people as Detroit  Houston,
 however has many fewer homicides per capita, and
 in gross numbersthan does Detroit.   Statistically,
Houston 212 in 2012, and then Detroit - 333 in 2013.
Houston population is 2.500,000 in round figures,
 not including adjacent incorporated cities.  It is
the fourth largest city in the United States.
   Detroit in the adjusted census has a little over
700,000 inhabitants according to
 the adjusted census for 2013

                                                        Houston  -  population 2,300,000  - 212 murders

                                                        Detroit    -  population    700,000  - 333 murders

However, Detroit is the safer of the two cities, according to the Progressives and National Socialists, because it has more reasonable and stringent firearms prohibitions and controls.

It dawned on us in the afternoon (figure that out) that in the last 72 hours, El Zorro, the Anglican Curmudgeon, and the People who live in Extreme Central Texas all contributed to our humble minor league blogsite.   Few people deserve such regard and attention.  I am not one of them.   But....I do appreciate it, and the OROGs seem to as well!!!
