Guns, Guns, Guns, and Idiocy (with addenda added, 21:45 6 June 2013)

When El Gringo Viejo was in high school, it is his best estimate that 25 to 30 percent of all the autos parked in the high school's parking lot had firearms in the glove compartment or the trunk.  This was especially true during the various hunting seasons.

In many areas, and especially in Central Texas, East Texas, The Panhandle, and actually almost all of the rural and suburban parts of Texas it was common...nay, normal...to see every other pickup truck equipped with a "head banger"...a term used for an in-cab rifle rack.
Folks would put their favourite ready-to-use rifle in one bracket and perhaps a nice .410 /.22 magnum over/under shotgun/rifle in the other bracket.

In those years, carrying a pistol around in the auto was not permitted.  Carrying a pistol around on a person's person was not permitted, concealed or exposed.  But a person could lug a double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun into a skating rink full of pre-teens, or into a bowling alley, and there would scant attention paid to the event.

That rather much flies in the face of the Roy Rogers and Hollywood image of Texas;  no pistols, no fast-draw events on main street during a dispute at the Tom Green County Fair with hearses lined up at Boot Hill every afternoon waiting to disgorge perforated cowboys by the score.   But, Texas law was a funny thing.   District Attorneys were wont to bring charges before a grand jury...and even more so a court-seated jury...that would result in no conviction.  Juries would predictably say among themselves, "A feller needs to be able to defend himself if he's in a strange stretch of country.  He doesn't know the Sheriff or the cops, so he might need to take matters into his own hands."
And so, it became the normally accepted practise that a "Bona fide traveller" could carry a pistol in his auto (mount).   To be such a person, one had to be clear of criminal record, travelling across county lines, intending to stay overnight away from his homestead or normal place of abode.  A suitcase with clean underwear and a toothbrush and a razor, with attendant shaving mug and brush and toothpaste would help.

Of course, no one locked up.  Most vehicles...even most houses...were left unlocked overnight.   And we had no killings, shootings, or even brandishing with the firearms during all my days in public schools, in McAllen, Texas.   Not much, if any, all over Texas, as I recall.   There were three major differences between then and now.

 (1)    99.8% of all of the people had a CATECHISM.   There were social complexes involving the Masons, the Protestants, the Jews, the Catholics, the agnostics, the gnostics and almost everyone that recognised and understood morality, ethics, and conscience.

(2)   Every fourth male from the 2nd grade on, WAS NOT on behaviour modification drugs to "cure and control"  ADDBEGGE and BBED and RNUDDW and ZZZSA)RRR - type III, and  Quakflapper's Syndrome.

 (3)   Then, there were almost no multigenerational participants in public assistance.   No gangs, no real "underworld", save for mafia sub-groups in the biggest cities...Houston, Dallas, San Antonio.   There was no abundance of fatherless, or no adult male in house,
situations.

Charles Whitman -  said to have been an Eagle Scout, although
the rumours in Austin, Texas at the time was that his father had
"bullied" the scout-master of the troop into giving Whitman passing
marks in his qualifications.   Whitman was also a Marine, and
a highly trained sniper.   He was not a very good student at the
University of Texas.

It all stopped one day, on the 1st of August,1966.   With Charles Whitman.  The University of Texas Tower shooter.   He had been medicated for several years for "adolescent hyperactivity".  Then one day he stabbed and shot his mother in her sleep, then went home and did the same to his wife, and then went to the UT Tower, killed 13 more, and wounded 30.   One shot was almost 3/4ths of a mile.   He also had a walnut sized tumour on the right side, rear part of his brain.  Sears and Roebuck solved all the problems after that shooting by stopping the sale of pistols.   No pistols were used by Charles Whitman in the Tower shootings.   Makes sense in Estrogenese, perhaps.
Then the central government said that we couldn't buy rifles by mail-order any more.  That also solved all the problems, forever, again.  That law was first enacted in 1962 after the Kennedy assassination, then "strenthened'' in 1967.   The ATF was expanded both in bureaucratic size and in the scope its duties.   That also stopped all crime, forever.....again.   Especially gun crime.

As days and times came and went, there was a steady, almost geometric, increase in crimes such of ethnic gang shootings, drive-by shootings, drug-trade and territory shootings, and the spontaneous mass shootings without specific intended victims or motive.  In Texas we had, stunningly, the Temple, Texas Luby's Cafeteria shooting.   Of course, we cannot count the Mr. Carmel murders of fifty or more low-class, low-intelligence religious kooks because that was official business, and its okay for the ATF and FBI to kill people when they think it is necessary.

More gun-crime later, and much demagoguery by the Clinton administration.."cop-killer bullets",  "semi-automatics", "assault weapons"...all became part of the lexicon.   Women trudging down, acting as if their losses were more important than anyone elses losses, demanding the end of gun ownership, gun shows, guns, and gun retailers, and anything that goes "bang" or "boom".
It is an approved method of eliminating un-preferred associates, friends, wives, enemies, unknown people, etc. by the employment of bludgeoning devices such as skillets, baseball bats, hammers, mountain climbing picks, front or rear end of an automobile, or samurai sable.    Various poisons remain legally employable for the purpose, as well as manoeuvres such as cutting brake lines, pushing off cliffs, out of 6th floor windows, or throwing the electric space heater into the bathtub while intended victim is bathing.    For a complete list of approved methods and procedures, please write ericholder@wecontrolyourlife.gov .

The estrogenophiles are particularly disturbed with "semi-automatic" guns.   They apparently do not know what a semi-automatic firearm is, but they are certain that being semi-automatic makes them worse than a hammer.   They are also deathly afraid of what the Obsolete Media has branded as "assault weapons" .
Once again; REALITY TO PLANET EARTH,  semi-automatic means one pull of the trigger - one shot....and ALL WEAPONS ARE ASSAULT WEAPONS.   A J.C. Higgins 9-shot, .22 revolver, w/ 9 inch barrel target pistol....IS AN ASSAULT WEAPON!!!!   An assault weapon is a weapon that is used in an assault.   And, of course, any bullet that kills or wounds a cop is a "Cop-killer Bullet".   Sheeeesh!

Bad gun. bad, bad, bad.  Meany gun.
Fienstein and the Hillaryistas....long noted for straight-thinking and honesty....also decided that it was worse to be shot at and/or hit by a bullet fired from a "mean-looking" gun than a "nice, kinder, and gentler looking gun.  That is a gun that looks really "masculine" and "mechanical" and "militaristic" and "meany-poo".  This is because bullets fired by "mean-looking" guns are a lot meaner, and insensitive to the interests of women's issues, homosexuals, Native American Indian kleptomaniacs, Japanese-American hot-air balloon operators, and middle-sized city bus drivers, and manicurists who have heterochromatic eyes.

The problem is that criminals like the ones in Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, name the country...will find weapons that shoot and stab.  In Norway, very recently, a Nordoe killed about 60 Muslims because they offended him for having been born.  Almost all were young people with long lives awaiting them.  Norway has draconian gun laws.   Following Hillarythink...all those children are still alive.   No one in Norway can have or hold a gun unless he is escorted by 300 pre-grief counsellors, a great-grandmother, two Romanian Orthodox priests, a chef, nine chimney sweeps, and a left handed beautician.  In Mexico, a person can obtain a pistol permit for his house...just by going to Mexico City and standing in line for 326 years and six months (not quite that bad).
In the British Isles, everything is perfect.  They don't have gun crime...and the resultant murders...right?   Well, not so fast.  They have quite a bit of gun crime now, with the Commonwealth people having flooded into England with their British passports in hand.  Pilfering, burglary, home invasions, rape, assault, car-jacking, etc. is all much, much worse than say....in Texas...where almost all the innocent and law abiding are either armed or thought to be armed.   Our overall crime rate, including murder,  WENT DOWN SHARPLY after concealed carry became the law of the Republic of Texas.

Texas or Detroit?         Texas is safer.
Texas or Chicago?       Texas is safer.
Texas or D.C.                 Texas is safer.
Texas or anywhere?   Texas is safer.

THE ENTIRE PROBLEM CANNOT BE RESOLVED, only portions.   Only portions can be diminished.  There will always be evil.  There will always be wickedness.  Satan moves the mind and heart of man in bad ways.   Laws cannot prevent bad acts by people with defective souls or ill intent.  If not a firearm, a knife.  If not a knife, strychnine.  If not poison, then a bomb.  And so on.
The biggest problem that El Gringo Viejo sees is the practise of loading up juvenile and adolescent males who are a bit hyper with drugs that dull their senses and turn them inward.  The mindless pursuit of meaningless scores and levels in a set of ultra-violent computer games becomes their understanding of reality.  One never seems to hear of them being involved with the church or synagogue, or being the the High School Marching/Symphony Band, or the debate club, or playing a good shortstop on the American Legion team.   Not even the cowardly thug of Fort Hood fame had much beyond a poor medical practise record and a consumptive obsession with death.
If we could solve that problem, then there could be a bit of progress on the issue.   It will do nothing to address the 512 killings in Chicagoland,  where no guns are permitted, essentially.   It does nothing about the rack-up of a hundred there and two hundred here, in towns like New Orleans, Gary, Detroit, Philadelphia, Oakland, Phoenix, etc.  The inner-city killings are because life there has no value.  The spree killers kill because they know the people they are killing have value to someone....a value they have not felt for a long time, because they have been too drugged up, and too habitualised to violent outcomes by their Chop Her Head Off and Throw It in the Woodchipper games.
Thanks for your time and attention.  More later.

The giant, gaping hole in Sandy Hook reporting

‎Today, ‎January ‎06, ‎2013, ‏‎7 hours ago | David KupelianGo to full article

Since last month’s horrifying and heartbreaking school massacre in Newtown, Conn., politicians and the press have, as everyone knows, been totally obsessed with firearms.
Indeed, President Obama has vowed to impose strong new gun-control measures on the nation – very soon, with or without Congress.
Other possible factors – from violent video games to the “failure of our mental-health system” to the unintended consequences of making schools “gun-free zones” – have taken a back seat to guns. Within hours of the gruesome mega-crime, the media had provided extensive, round-the-clock coverage of precisely which firearms, manufacturers and calibers the perpetrator had used, how he had obtained them from his mother, where they were originally purchased, and so on.
But where, I’d like to ask my colleagues in the media, is the reporting about the psychiatric medications the perpetrator – who had been under treatment for mental-health problems – may have been taking? After all, Mark and Louise Tambascio, family friends of the shooter and his mother, were interviewed on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” during which Louise Tambascio told correspondent Scott Pelley: “I know he was on medication and everything, but she homeschooled him at home cause he couldn’t deal with the school classes sometimes, so she just homeschooled Adam at home. And that was her life.” And here, Tambascio tells ABC News, “I knew he was on medication, but that’s all I know.”
It has been more than three weeks since the shooting. We know all about the guns he used, but what “medication” may he have used? (One brief mini-hoax emerged when the New York Daily News published a story claiming the shooter, according to his uncle, had been on the controversial antipsychotic drug Fanapt. That story was quickly withdrawn after the “uncle” turned out to be a fraudster with no relation to the murderer.)
So, what is the truth? Where is the journalistic curiosity? Where is the follow-up? Where is the police report, the medical examiner’s report, the interviews with his doctor and others?
Get autographed copies of both of David Kupelian’s classics: “The Marketing of Evil” and “How Evil Works.”
But let me back up. Perhaps you’re wondering why this issue of psychiatric medications should be so important.
As I documented in “How Evil Works,” it is simply indisputable that most perpetrators of school shootings and similar mass murders in our modern era were either on – or just recently coming off of – psychiatric medications:
  • Columbine mass-killer Eric Harris was taking Luvox – like Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor and many others, a modern and widely prescribed type of antidepressant drug called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs. Harris and fellow student Dylan Klebold went on a hellish school shooting rampage in 1999 during which they killed 12 students and a teacher and wounded 24 others before turning their guns on themselves.Luvox manufacturer Solvay Pharmaceuticals concedes that during short-term controlled clinical trials, 4 percent of children and youth taking Luvox – that’s 1 in 25 – developed mania, a dangerous and violence-prone mental derangement characterized by extreme excitement and delusion.
  • Patrick Purdy went on a schoolyard shooting rampage in Stockton, Calif., in 1989, which became the catalyst for the original legislative frenzy to ban “semiautomatic assault weapons” in California and the nation. The 25-year-old Purdy, who murdered five children and wounded 30, had been on Amitriptyline, an antidepressant, as well as the antipsychotic drug Thorazine.
  • Kip Kinkel, 15, murdered his parents in 1998 and the next day went to his school, Thurston High in Springfield, Ore., and opened fire on his classmates, killing two and wounding 22 others. He had been prescribed both Prozac and Ritalin.
  • In 1988, 31-year-old Laurie Dann went on a shooting rampage in a second-grade classroom in Winnetka, Ill., killing one child and wounding six. She had been taking the antidepressant Anafranil as well as Lithium, long used to treat mania.
  • In Paducah, Ky., in late 1997, 14-year-old Michael Carneal, son of a prominent attorney, traveled to Heath High School and started shooting students in a prayer meeting taking place in the school’s lobby, killing three and leaving another paralyzed. Carneal reportedly was on Ritalin.
  • In 2005, 16-year-old Native American Jeff Weise, living on Minnesota’s Red Lake Indian Reservation, shot and killed nine people and wounded five others before killing himself. Weise had been taking Prozac.
  • In another famous case, 47-year-old Joseph T. Wesbecker, just a month after he began taking Prozac in 1989, shot 20 workers at Standard Gravure Corp. in Louisville, Ky., killing nine. Prozac-maker Eli Lilly later settled a lawsuit brought by survivors.
  • Kurt Danysh, 18, shot his own father to death in 1996, a little more than two weeks after starting on Prozac. Danysh’s description of own his mental-emotional state at the time of the murder is chilling: “I didn’t realize I did it until after it was done,” Danysh said. “This might sound weird, but it felt like I had no control of what I was doing, like I was left there just holding a gun.”
  • John Hinckley, age 25, took four Valium two hours before shooting and almost killing President Ronald Reagan in 1981. In the assassination attempt, Hinckley also wounded press secretary James Brady, Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy and policeman Thomas Delahanty.
  • Andrea Yates, in one of the most heartrending crimes in modern history, drowned all five of her children – aged 7 years down to 6 months – in a bathtub. Insisting inner voices commanded her to kill her children, she had become increasingly psychotic over the course of several years. At her 2006 murder re-trial (after a 2002 guilty verdict was overturned on appeal), Yates’ longtime friend Debbie Holmes testified: “She asked me if I thought Satan could read her mind and if I believed in demon possession.” And Dr. George Ringholz, after evaluating Yates for two days, recounted an experience she had after the birth of her first child: “What she described was feeling a presence … Satan … telling her to take a knife and stab her son Noah,” Ringholz said, adding that Yates’ delusion at the time of the bathtub murders was not only that she had to kill her children to save them, but that Satan had entered her and that she had to be executed in order to kill Satan.Yates had been taking the antidepressant Effexor. In November 2005, more than four years after Yates drowned her children, Effexor manufacturer Wyeth Pharmaceuticals quietly added “homicidal ideation” to the drug’s list of “rare adverse events.” The Medical Accountability Network, a private nonprofit focused on medical ethics issues, publicly criticized Wyeth, saying Effexor’s “homicidal ideation” risk wasn’t well-publicized and that Wyeth failed to send letters to doctors or issue warning labels announcing the change. And what exactly does “rare” mean in the phrase “rare adverse events”? The FDA defines it as occurring in less than one in 1,000 people. But since that same year 19.2 million prescriptions for Effexor were filled in the U.S., statistically that means thousands of Americans might experience “homicidal ideation” – murderous thoughts – as a result of taking just this one brand of antidepressant drug.Effexor is Wyeth’s best-selling drug, by the way, which in one recent year brought in over $3 billion in sales, accounting for almost a fifth of the company’s annual revenues.
  • One more case is instructive, that of 12-year-old Christopher Pittman, who struggled in court to explain why he murdered his grandparents, who had provided the only love and stability he’d ever known in his turbulent life. “When I was lying in my bed that night,” he testified, “I couldn’t sleep because my voice in my head kept echoing through my mind telling me to kill them.” Christopher had been angry with his grandfather, who had disciplined him earlier that day for hurting another student during a fight on the school bus. So later that night, he shot both of his grandparents in the head with a .410 shotgun as they slept and then burned down their South Carolina home, where he had lived with them.”I got up, got the gun, and I went upstairs and I pulled the trigger,” he recalled. “Through the whole thing, it was like watching your favorite TV show. You know what is going to happen, but you can’t do anything to stop it.”Pittman’s lawyers would later argue that the boy had been a victim of “involuntary intoxication,” since his doctors had him taking the antidepressants Paxil and Zoloft just prior to the murders.Paxil’s known “adverse drug reactions” – according to the drug’s FDA-approved label – include “mania,” “insomnia,” “anxiety,” “agitation,” “confusion,” “amnesia,” “depression,” “paranoid reaction,” “psychosis,” “hostility,” “delirium,” “hallucinations,” “abnormal thinking,” “depersonalization” and “lack of emotion,” among others. The preceding examples are only a few of the best-known offenders who had been taking prescribed psychiatric drugs before committing their violent crimes – there are many others. Whether we like to admit it or not, it is undeniable that when certain people living on the edge of sanity take psychiatric medications, those drugs can – and occasionally do – push them over the edge into violent madness. Remember, every single SSRI antidepressant sold in the United States of America today, no matter what brand or manufacturer, bears a “black box” FDA warning label – the government’s most serious drug warning – of “increased risks of suicidal thinking and behavior, known as suicidality, in young adults ages 18 to 24.” Common sense tells us that where there are suicidal thoughts – especially in a very, very angry person – homicidal thoughts may not be far behind. Indeed, the mass shooters we are describing often take their own lives when the police show up, having planned their suicide ahead of time.
So, what ‘medication’ was Lanza on?
The Sandy Hook school massacre, we are constantly reminded, was the “second-worst school shooting in U.S. history.” Let’s briefly revisit the worst, Virginia Tech, because it provides an important lesson for us. One would think, in light of the stunning correlation between psych meds and mass murders, that it would be considered critical to establish definitively whether the Virginia Tech murderer of 32 people, student Cho Seung-Hui, had been taking psychiatric drugs.
Yet, more than five years later, the answer to that question remains a mystery.
    Even though initially
the New York Times reported, “officials said prescription medications related to the treatment of psychological problems had been found among Mr. Cho’s effects,” and the killer’s roommate, Joseph Aust, had told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that Cho’s routine each morning had included taking prescription drugs, the state’s toxicology report released two months later said “no prescription drugs or toxic substances were found in Cho Seung-Hui.”
Perhaps so, but one of the most notoriously unstable and unpredictable times for users of SSRI antidepressants is the period shortly after they’ve stopped taking them, during which time the substance may not be detectable in the body.
What kind of meds might Cho have been taking – or recently have stopped taking? Curiously, despite an
exhaustive investigation by the Commonwealth of Virginia which disclosed that Cho had taken Paxil for a year in 1999, specifics on what meds he was taking prior to the Virginia Tech massacre have remained elusive. The final 20,000-word report manages to omit any conclusive information about the all-important issue of Cho’s medications during the period of the mass shooting.
To add to the drama, it wasn’t until two years after the state’s in-depth report was issued that, as disclosed in an Aug. 19, 2009,
ABC News report, some of Cho’s long-missing mental health records were located:
The records released today were discovered to be missing during a Virginia panel’s August 2007 investigation four-and-a-half months after the massacre.
The notes were recovered last month from the home of Dr. Robert Miller, the former director of the counseling center, who says he inadvertently packed Cho’s file into boxes of personal belongings when he left the center in February 2006. Until the July 2009 discovery of the documents, Miller said he had no idea he had the records.
Miller has since been let go from the university.
Although Cho’s newly discovered mental-health files reportedly revealed nothing further about his medications, the issues raised by the initial accounts – including the “officials” cited by the New York Times and the Richmond paper’s eyewitness account of daily meds-taking – remain unaddressed to this day.
Some critics suggest these official omissions are motivated by a desire to protect the drug companies from ruinous product liability claims. Indeed, pharmaceutical manufacturers are nervous about lawsuits over the “rare adverse effects” of their mood-altering medications. To avoid costly settlements and public relations catastrophes – such as when GlaxoSmithKline was ordered to pay $6.4 million to the family of 60-year-old Donald Schnell who murdered his wife, daughter and granddaughter in a fit of rage shortly after starting on Paxil – drug companies’ legal teams have quietly and skillfully settled hundreds of cases out-of-court, shelling out hundreds of millions of dollars to plaintiffs. Pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly fought scores of legal claims against Prozac in this way, settling for cash before the complaint could go to court while stipulating that the settlement remain secret – and then claiming it had never lost a Prozac lawsuit.
All of which is, once again, to respectfully but urgently ask the question: When on earth are we going to find out if the perpetrator of the Sandy Hook school massacre, like so many other mass shooters, had been taking psychiatric drugs?
In the end, it may well turn out that knowing what kinds of guns he used isn’t nearly as important as what kind of drugs he used.
That is, assuming we ever find out.

Sorry Carville: Hillary is Inhumane to the Truth and to Humanity

James Carville is a noted commentator on the political scene.  He is a Democrat.  He is also living proof that the Martians dumped him off in the swamps of Louisiana because of his obnoxious appearance and intelligible barking method of blathering insensibilities.   Whatever disposed Mary Matalin to subject herself to such a serpentine, extraterrestrial madman is impossible to divine.   My choice would most certainly favoured joining a cloistered religious order in some cold, mountaintop old convent with no running water or heat in lieu of having to come home to an extraterrestrial, braying reptile.

In politico, James is quoted as saying that "....folks are just being inhumane" about poor Hillary.   Just think of all the problems she has...brain cancer, brain stroke, wine tasting, stomach flu, brain blood clot, prostate cancer, broken arm from falling down, speech disorder (3 words per minute), Blackface "Negro Dialect Disorder" Act reserved for Black Church Non -political Sermon-Speeches, congenitial floating amnesia, homicidal disposition disorder, narcissistic consumption disorder.....among the short list of wickedness, evility, nastiness, and other redeeming personal characteristics.   Those are her good points, James.

It was rewarding to note that in the "comments" section of the Politico article...and remember that Politico is a not-too-red, pinko organ...but still pinko....the comments about James's comments were right at 19 to 1 against (Sir Edmund) Hillary, Queen of the Universe in Perpetuity.

Because it is such a pleasure, and hoping that James will read our blog to-day in case he missed how well his comments were received yesterday in a "safe'' venue, my comments are republished here with permission from the author.   El Gringo Viejo had to go out and find the dead mule and drag it here inside and flail the hell out of it again, but there is really not enough negative that can be said about this thoroughly horrid, self-consumed, mendacious, murderous, marxist hag.

Carville! Was (Sir Edmund)Hillary inhumane about the way she disposed of Vince Foster and had Web Hubbell serve her Whitewater prison time, "or else" ? Was she inhumane when she ordered  the FBI to turn over 1,300 raw data personnel files on Republican and other personalities when she came into the White House in 1993 with Billy Jeff?    Was she inhumane when she established a Bimbo defamation unit in the campaign and then in the White House so as to be able to smear the bimbos and other women that Billy Jeff had beaten, raped, brutalised, and otherwise advantaged himself?
Was (Sir Edmund)Hillary inhumane when she killed all those poor cows she made $100,000 net on in one month of trading a $1,000 cattle futures play?     Did (Sir Edmund)Hillary behave inhumanely when she framed up the White House Travel Office personnel so as to put in her own relatives to cash in on that action?
Did (Sir Edmund)Hillary's parents really wait for three years to name her Hillary so as to allow time for (Sir Edmund Hillary) to finalise his successful attempt on the summit of Mount Everest? She said they name her in his honour. She wouldn't be a chronic pathological liar, though, would she?
(Sir Edmund)Hillary really did corkscrew into that airport and run across the tarmac, with her flak jacket strapped on tight, dodging bullets fired by cruel and cunning Serbian snipers...covering her daughter with her own body and coaxing Sinbad to be brave, and follow her.
Just like when she said that she was so alarmed when the Twin Towers were hit, because she knew that Chelsea was jogging down at ground zero at the very moment the planes hit the towers. Little matter that Chelsea says she was on a stay over with her boyfriend twenty miles away.
Was (Sir Edmund)Hillary inhumane when she ordered Defense Department lackeys at the Pentagon to release the raw data personnel file of Linda Tripp?   You know that Chuck Colson went to prison for three years, for having one SEALED and UNOPENNED raw data personnel file in his desk.    But you play by the rules that say that Democrats can murder girls and stuff them in the back of an Oldsmobile and pay a 25 dollar fine, while Republicans go to prison for twenty years for a parking ticket. Democrats can run a homosexual prostitution ring out of their apartments, fix tickets for their homosexual partners, have relations with 16 year old congressional pages.....and receive a standing ovation on the floor of the Congress when they appear back in circulation.
Let's not even begin with the assault on the Mt. Carmel compound of those poor stupid religious kooks...Hillary outdid herself in setting up a deal whereby 40 children died.
But, she solved that by fixing up a presidential pardon in return for campaign contributions by the Hassidics. Real Class. How Humane....and no...I do not even remotely believe that she had any infirmity except being either drunk, or over-medicated with unprescribed prescription drugs, or both.

(Sir Edmund)Hillary is Lucifer's sister.  Just think of all the things she has done for Women,  and, of course the Children.
Thanks for your attention.

Carville: Hillary haters 'inhumane'.............
Hey Skeletor..............We KNOW corruption where YOU come from is something you admire..........
But it's the LAST thing we need to put into the White House.
Ultimately the Clintons were never charged, but 15 other persons were convicted of more than 40 crimes, including Bill Clinton's successor as Governor, who was removed from office.[39]

Tax returns

In March 1992, during his presidential campaign, the Clintons acknowledged that on their 1984 and 1985 tax returns, they had claimed improper tax deductions for interest payments made by the Whitewater Development Company and not them personally.[40] Due to the age of mistake, the Clintons were not obligated to make good the error, but Bill Clinton announced that they would nonetheless do so.[40]
Deputy White House counsel Vince Foster looked into this matter, but did not take any action before his death.[40] Almost two years from the original announcement passed before, on December 28, 1993, the Clintons did make this reimbursement payment, for $4,900, to the Internal Revenue Service. This was done just before Justice Department investigators started seeking the Clintons' Whitewater files. The payment was made without filing an amended return (possibly because the three-year period for amended return filing had passed), but did include full interest on the amount in error, including the additional two-year delay.[40] The Whitewater files in question, publicly released in August 1995, cast some doubt on the Clintons' assertions in the matter, as they showed that the couple were aware that the interest payments in question were by the Whitewater corporation and not them personally.[40]

(el gringo viejo does add that Billy Jeff Blythe was fined by a judge some $25,000 and disbarred for having "substantially and purposefully misled the court with his testimony"....in the matter concerning Paula Jones)

Col. Hugo gets to smell the sulphur again, soon.

We have been sorting through Cuban, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Mexican, Argentine, and European commentary and reporting about another dictator who rules by means of heading a operative majority of low-information voters.   It is tiresome.  These thugs who take power and say that they are democratically elected, strutting around as if they have some kind of moral high ground because they spend public money to stay in power.   They all but give money away to the procreative class that supplies troops to the gangs of thugs who graduate to become terroristic criminals and government operatives.

People like the little, pudgy, simian-looking "colonel" who arrive to high office without the merest qualification, save for the willingness to promise any and every thing to the graffiti and litter and procreative crowd, are too numerous in the empty halls of insignificant history to bother remembering.   However, it is true that they come and, thankfully, they go.

What El Gringo Viejo has been able to glean from the various fountains of information that proceed from the pens and convoluted mental processes of the international press is that the peculiar looking colonel is in all likelihood not going to attend his inauguration for the next term of the Presidency of Venezuela.   An unfortunate extemporaneous statement by one of the Spanish doctors has led almost everyone to believe that the peculiar looking  colonel is headed for that great sulphur corral in El Rancho BarZeelBub, sooner rather than later.

It would have been good to ask the Spanish doctor why it is that Spanish doctors were in charge of events concerning the peculiar looking "colonel" everybody in the world knows that the Cuban medical system is the best, most advanced, and finest in the world....and it's FREEEEEEEEEEEE!   But, oddly, no one asked that question.

What is being asked is if there are going to be a number of expulsion and assassinations now that Nicolas Maduro (a dolt and erstwhile bus-driver)  the Vice-President of Venezuela, and Diosdado Cabello, the President of the lower house of the Venezuelan Parliament will be obligated to try to kill one another.   Floods of middle and higher ranking losing thugs inside this mafia-like government will be making  quick flights to Miami, Mexico City, and/or Rio de Janiero in a few weeks.

With the increased demand in Miami for deluxe apartments and penthouse arrangements for the refugee slugs and thugs, Obama's administration will be able to point to "an improved housing market".   Whether the bus-driver Vice President or the life-time professional thug marxist politician wins out is anybody's guess at this point.   Chavez did have a particular and peculiar way of hypnotising the masses and relating to them.   First blame the millionaires and billionaires, and then give them a lot of free stuff, and it relates pretty well to the limited information and intellect crowd.   Chavez used to drone on during his free form television addresses to the nation for three to eight hours at a time.
There was a joke about the tourist who came to Venezuela and asked to see the jungles.  The local fellow said, "I'm sorry sen~or, but the forests, they are all burned up."
"Oh! How terrible.  I understand they were very beautiful with different birds and wildlife and interesting flowering trees.  Was it a horrible forest fire?"  the tourist asked sadly.
"Oh! No, no sen~or.  El Presidente, he is a great admirer of Franklin D. Roosevelt", the local man answered.
Puzzled, the tourist finally asked, "What does Roosevelt have to do with it?"
"We had to cut the forest down for the firewood, Sen~or...it is 8 hours of a fireside chat".

All dull humour aside.  Chavez is a slug and a thug.   He is exactly the same kind of president as the one we have in the White House now, only a bit smarter and more audacious.  Chavez was not distracted by golf and piddling around with small things like trying to say tricky things that leave false impressions ....Hope and Change....fundamental transformation....spread the wealth....Save General Motors....
Chavez expropriates.  He bullys, sends in street gangs to destroy businesses, he confiscates, and he has street gangs kidnap children of opponents and of editorialist who write inconvenient truths.   He calls middle class and wealthy people "exploitative devils and swine"....something that Obama does not have the guts to do in public.

With luck, Chavez will soon be gone, or at least will be semi-comatose for many, many painful years.   With more luck, the street gangs, the brown shirts, the red shirts, and all the marxist, bolshevik, maoist, socialist workers' party, and criminal elements will get together and destroy one another so that the country can return to the relatively pleasant place that it used to be.   It will be difficult due to the recent development of a really, really rough thug class that will be difficult to moderate and/or eliminate for the next several years.   It is similar to what the communist troublemakers in Honduras and Guatemala have developed over the last 30 years, the final product of which is the Mara Salvatrucha XIII .

What is good, in a way, is these various extreme left and extreme anti-social groups that Chavez has been able to, more or less, keep on the same general path, will immediately begin to start to eat each others liver and gall bladders as soon as it is apparent that Chavez does not have enough strength to pull a trigger.   It will be like Uncle Joe and Trotsky...and like the Molotov, Kruschev, and Yahkov, and Beria days.

Stalin and other Soviet VIPs with (front right) Nikolai Yezhov

The same photo ‘updated’ after Yezhov’s fall. (For a similarly chilling photographic disappearance, see
Vladimir Clementis.)  Behind Stalin's right shoulder is Molotov,
and to Molotov's right is Beria, "the engineer of the Georgia purge".  Of course
Yezhov was the "minder" of Beria.  Ah...what pleasant games the commies play
killing each other for fun and profit.   And just think, the man with the Napoleanic
hand, and the funny cap...he always said that Al Gore, Sr.'s bossman, Armand
Hammer, Occidental Oil, was his favourite capitalist.
(You know...I really wonder how Uncle Joe managed to make that little gargoyle Yezhov disappear?)

Read, also, Trotsky's demise in his up-scale digs in Frida's and Diego's neighbourhood in Mexico City.   There are many fairly decent accounts that speak to the love among the comrades of the Workers' Paradise.   We hope that the communist and criminal elements in Venezuela can warm up that old fraternal affection, one more time.

DAR Bans God and Christian Guidance Missal and We Don't Buy Girl Scout Cookies (they aren't as good as they used to be anyway)

The Daughters of the American Revolution are "guiding" the membership on methods by which the local chapters can and should avoid mentioning specific religions or important religious personalities if they happen to be Christian.  Hymns and anthems are being discouraged, as well.  And, of course, the ranking poobahettes of the DAR are denying it all.   But...we know it is true.
It is just more of the "full court press" by the progressives to destroy America from the inside out and to establish a secular, atheist, socialist, internationalist citadel.   Destroy the churches, the schools, the social organisations, the families, the work ethic, and everything traditional, and that will finally make things the way they should be.   Read the lyrics of the Satanically inspired song..."Imagine" by the great moral philosophers, The Beatles.  And there you have it.

Please read this posting below and weep.  The Girl Scouts of America have been a source of deep sadness for this observer of the American scene for the past few years.  Most reasonable folks are unaware of the degeneracy and degradation of the current organisation.   Please read this posting carefully.  It is well researched and El Gringo Viejo has decided to publish it here after doing considerable verification of its content.

Girl Scouts: The Awful Truth

By Betsy M. Galliher

Indiana freshman Representative Bob Morris is learning the hard way that the Girl Scouts of America is to the progressive agenda as the Komen Foundation is to Planned Parenthood, and the Catholic church (or so Obama presumed) is to an Obama abortion mandate. What is -- in one word -- cover.
In a private e-mail to fellow House members, leaked to a northern Indiana paper, Morris outlined why he chose to abstain from a nonbinding resolution honoring the Girl Scouts of America on its 100th Anniversary -- an organization Morris believes to have become increasingly "radicalized," with ties to Planned Parenthood, the United Nations, and abortion and LGBT advocates.
Overnight, Morris became the fodder of mainstream media and late-night hosts. Even Morris's fellow Indiana House Republicans joined in the mockery, purchasing cases of Girl Scout cookies and crunching away in front of Morris during a House session. Indiana House Speaker Republican Brian Bosma went so far as to don a Girl Scout badge sash for a Gridiron dinner in the same week, where featured as each table's centerpiece was a box of Girl Scout cookies marked "Caution: Contents Radicalized."
It comes as no surprise that calling out one of the great vestiges of iconic girl power and time-honored Americana garners great public outrage, especially amongst Morris's fellow Republicans, where real honor appears to be going along to get along. What Morris's fellow Republicans fail to understand is that in collective outrage, there is truth -- exposed. And the truth is that, for all the generations of earnest, jumper-clad cookie entrepreneurs the GSUSA has lovingly nurtured, the organization is moving left at a fast clip, even if only at its highest levels of leadership. This may be news even to most scouts, if not the parents, citizens, and business leaders who volunteer their time and talent as troop leaders. In fact, it might be news to anyone who doesn't understand the language of progressivism -- global, reproductive rights, climate change, empowerment, diversity, sustainability, fairness, community, social justice, universal, green -- think nearly any advocacy, save capitalism.
Still, the larger point seems to have been lost amidst all the shock and awe Morris elicited. Why are the accusations so altogether unthinkable in the first place?

Full disclosure: I am as endeared to the doe-eyed keepers of the Thin Mint for which I would sell my soul most days as anyone. I cringed when I heard Morris's original remarks. It was just the crazy talk the left feeds upon -- and the right, consequently, takes such pains to avoid. These were the Girl Scouts of America he was talking about, for heaven's sake. Like millions of other scouts and now a parent to scouts, I've experienced only the best Girl Scouts has to offer -- lessons in leadership, character, entrepreneurship, Christian ideals, service to others, and macramé -- under the tutelage of leaders with no pretense or agenda.
Frankly, what Morris was suggesting was so far-fetched that it was almost as unthinkable as suggesting that Republicans don't always have conservatives' best interest at heart; the church has been infiltrated with agents of social justice; our own prestigious military has in its ranks enemy Islamists and apologists; the public education system to which we entrust our children is full of radical, anti-American educators; the mainstream media -- the fourth estate -- is a virtual arm of one political party; women's reproductive health includes the right to practice infanticide; and Sesame Street Muppets endear children to government. What's next -- asking us to believe that the man elected to keep the American dream alive could govern antithetically to individual liberty? Shall we see if James O'Keefe can fit into a brownie uniform?
The question we should be asking ourselves is, why not? Why wouldn't we expect the Girl Scouts of America to have contemporized its agenda with the willing assistance of progressives, as has every other American organization under the sun? No one doubts that the vast majority of GSUSA troops function fairly autonomously, as intended, with nary a murmur of Planned Parenthood, but it still behooves parents to know the company their daughters keep (literally) and the agenda that company espouses -- the same company to whom millions of scouts entrust $750 million in gross cookie sale revenue annually.
Here's just a sample:
GSA's CEO, Anna Maria Chavez, served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Urban Renewal and Community Development under former Arizona Governor, Janet Napolitano. Napolitano vetoed a ban on partial birth abortion, along with legislation requiring parental consent for minors during her governorship. Chavez calls Napolitano her "mentor."
Troop Capitol Hill - an honorary, bipartisan, Congressional Girl Scout troop - in conjunction with GSUSA's Policy and Advocacy office, helps to create public policy benefiting girls, and to bring Girl Scouting to underserved communities. Troop Capitol Hill has been lead, at one time or another, by Senators Barbra Mikulski (D), Susan Collins (small r), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D), and Kay Granger (small r). According to the GSUSA website, "The Honorary Congressional Girl Scout Troop has helped Girl Scouts of the USA secure nearly $15 million in federal funding over the past few years. These funds have been distributed to Girl Scouts councils for innovative programs in public housing, rural communities, and prisons."
GSA's Media Relations Expert and Spokesperson, Josh Ackley, was the founder of the now-defunct band, "Dead Betties," a homoerotic band with a disdain for the mainstream. In addition to his media duties, Ackley has been involved with Scout delegates to the United Nations.
GSUSA Public Policy and Advocacy Associate, Clare Bresnahan, is also a fellow at the New Leaders Council, an organization "Training The Next Generation of Progressive Political Entrepreneurs." According to Bresnahan's bio at the NLC site, she is "armed with a background in social justice and nonprofit advocacy..."
While GSUSA claims no formal relationship, as early as 2004, then CEO, Cathy Cloninger, gave an interview to the NBC Today show in which she stated GSUSA partners with Planned Parenthood. In fact, Up to two dozen individual councils have openly admitted to partnering with Planned Parenthood for sex "education" materials, including the pamphlet, "How to Know You Are Ready For Sex."
Betty Friedan, the co-founder of NOW and NARAL, sat on the GSUSA Board from 1970 to 1982.
In 2010, the GSUSA partnered with the Urban League, urging scouts to pledge their time and commitment to the "I am Empowered" initiative working toward the goals of affordable healthcare; safe, decent, affordable, energy efficient housing on fair terms; access to jobs with a living wage and good benefits; and every children ready for college, work, and life by the year 2025.

Every Girl Scout, through annual dues, is a member of and contributes to the WAGGGS, or Worldwide Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Here is WAGGGS statement (in part) to the UN's Commission on the Status of Women:
We demand access to comprehensive sexuality information, services and supplies for all young people. We need it today - and today needed to be yesterday. The young people from more than 20 countries and every continent collectively demand their sexual and reproductive rights:
--All young people must have access to comprehensive sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health services, including contraception and emergency contraception, in order to avoid unintended pregnancies.
--Accessible, affordable and safe abortion should be made part of the minimum package of sexual and reproductive services.
The WAGGGS and GSUSA partner to sponsor an annual World Thinking Day, celebrating sisterhood in "global thinking," This year's theme is the United Millennium Development Goal no. 7, "we can save our planet." Here is the WAGGGS statement:
The poorest people in the world are the ones who will most feel the effects of environmental degradation and climate change. Ensuring environmental sustainability is a critical foundation for ending this poverty. Girls and young women of all ages around the world are also differently and disproportionately affected by the consequences of environmental degradation and climate change.
The World Thinking Day theme for 2012 is Millennium Development Goal 7: "we can save our planet" and the aim is to raise awareness of the environment and the impacts our lifestyles and choices have on it, so together we can, as one Movement, speak out and take action to save our planet.
Environmental sustainability is the seventh of eight areas of focus made by 189 world leaders at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000. It is part of the WAGGGS Global Action Theme, which encourages girls and young women to make a personal commitment to change the world around them by linking to an important agenda: the United Nations' Millennium Development Goal.
The GSA's Leadership and Board reads like the who's who of leftism -- not that you would know from their accomplished bios at the GSUSA site. The more provocative findings will require one's own research. There are personal connections to Amnesty International, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Human Rights Campaign, the National Council on the Research of Women, Women's ENews, the green movement, and the wholesome and teen-friendly (cough, cough) MTV. One GSUSA board member actually sits on the board of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. Family Watch International does an excellent job of detailing the connections.
Anyone can do the research -- even just a read of the GSUSA site itself -- from the heroines the Girl Scouts' literature promotes -- Elizabeth Gurly Flynn, for one, a founding member of the ACLU and chairwoman of the Communist Party -- to recommended links, Media Matters, and "teenwire," to name just two; and readings, Girltopia and Journeys. Simply put, the evidence is more than overwhelming that the GSUSA is proving to be just one more illustration of the quiet creep of progressivism. For anyone who believes that progressivism must be exposed in all its insidious glory -- rooted out whenever and wherever it is found -- relying on the good faith of any organization, even the iconic Girl Scouts of America, is an unaffordable luxury.
And yet, as a private entity, with questionable tax-exempt status, considering that it is arguably politically active, the GSUSA is free to contemporize as it sees fit. There are plenty of parents who will happily embrace the change, if not simply refuse to question the organization's intentions. Sounds like a voting bloc to me. Others, like Morris, will opt for an organization that defines character as he would for his own daughters, such as the American Heritage Girls, formed in 1995 as an alternative to the GSUSA, "dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country."
In a second letter to Indiana House members, Morris subsequently apologized for painting the entire Girl Scout organization with such a "wide brush" and for the haste with which he did some of his research. While Morris bemoaned Michelle Obama as the organization's honorary chair -- and I agree, Mrs. Obama's fondness for tyranny is no example to young, capable, idealistic girls -- it is true that every First Lady since Edith B. Wilson has served as chair. Mrs. Obama might have a thing or two to say about all those cookies, especially considering that she has enlisted the GSUSA to her Let's Move! campaign of government largesse, but she herself can hardly be blamed for the GSUSA's leftward lurch. Still, Morris owed fellow Republicans -- likely most interested in teaching Morris a lesson in pecking order -- no apology, in my thinking. Perhaps when the Girl Scouts introduce the Sandra Fluke merit badge in contraceptive affordability, Republicans will better recognize testicular fortitude when they see it.
Once progressivism takes root, it's nearly impossible to weed out entirely. With the honor the GSUSA still evokes, it might be downright impossible. A generation of young, empowered girls can carry a lot of water for progressives. It is infinitely easier once that generation no longer knows God, Country, or conscience. Most unfortunately, failing to recognize progressive cover is usually a lesson realized once it's too late.

El Gringo Viejo has not bought any Girl Scout cookies for quite a while now.  And oddly, his children never really did watch much if any Sesame Street.  My daughter did watch Smokey and the Bandit about 300 times and my son watch a lot of fishing and hunting shows....but they really didn't watch much television.   We were probably the only parents who ever yelled at their children that they "....had better watch some television".
Thanks for your attention.
