  • (Paul Byrne/ Associated Press ) - Voting observer Phil Middleton carries a ballot box inside his car to take it to a polling station in Port Stanley, Falkland Islands, Sunday, March 10, 2013. The local Falkland Islands Government has mobilized a major effort to get as many of its 1,650 registered voters as possible to cast their secret ballots Sunday and Monday, preparing to send off-road vehicles, boats and seaplanes to remote sheep farms across the lightly populated islands.

STANLEY, Falkland Islands — Falkland Islands voters decided by an overwhelming 99.8 percent margin Monday to keep their government just the way it is: a British Overseas Territory.
Of the 1,517 valid votes cast in the referendum, only 3 islanders voted “no” to the question: “Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom?” One vote was somehow lost.

The vote was aimed at showing that the residents’ self-determination must be considered in any discussion about the future of the remote South Atlantic islands that are claimed by both Britain and Argentina.
Elections officials reported a 92 percent turnout among the approximately 1,650 Falkland Islands voters eligible to cast ballots in the referendum. International election observer Juan Henao said the process was completely normal.
The islands’ 2,563 residents did all they could ahead of the vote to show their sympathies, waving Union Jack flags and dressing up in red-white-and-blue.
“The referendum will show the world how we feel, that we are British and that we wish to remain British. We don’t want to have nothing to do with Argentina, at all,” islander Barry Nielson said as he voted.

      It should be noted that the Argentine Government advised, suggested, and at times demanded that all Latin American governments avoid sending observers to the election.   Many complied, usually because they were not that interested anyway, while some just do not have the money required to spend on other people's windmills to joust.   Two nations defied Presidente Cristina.
     Chile and Mexico.

ADDENDA:
      Several conservative political parties in Latin American countries throughout Central and South America sent observers to the Falkland electoral process.   Paraguay, Colombia (conservative party, informal presence), Peru, Venezuela (informal, conservative party), and some others,  but we are not clear about the names of the countries, yet.   Chile's and Mexico's delegations were formal and, without saying so, preemptive

Ham and Gaouette just fade awa......?

     The night of the Benghazi attack spoke volumes concerning the kind of Linsky, marxist, narcissist Barak Obama is.   While Americans were being slaughtered, Obama was resting up for a hard trip via Air Force One to Las Vegas for a fund raiser and a campaign rally, departing early the next morning.

       It was critical that no boat-rocking be permitted during these last days of a campaign that had gone on forever, and that had seen the examples of the worst demagoguery in recent times...perhaps in all times.   The Presidential elections of 1800 and 1860, along with the Lyndon B. Johnson - Democrat - Mainstream Media smear of Barry Goldwater in 1964 were high water marks, but the 2012, the onslaught of lies by major figures from Harry Reid to Obama himself and the Obsolete Media must have been record setting.

      Of great importance during the closing hours of the campaign was to leave the stupid, the uninformed, and the committed marxists/progressives a lot of yawning room concerning the issue of radical Islamist terrorism and efforts to extend the New Caliphate by means of terrorism; or  "General Motors Lives and Al Qaeda is dead".     All people with an IQ higher than a paramecium knew immediately that the attack on the Benghazi facility was a co-ordinated, military extension of a militarised terrorist group.
      When Obama, and EVERY ONE OF HIS IMMEDIATELY INVOLVED SUBORDINATES, came forward with the story of the violence in Egypt and Libya being the result of  normal, heated reaction to an amateur video on YouTube, anyone who could actually find their own house key without the assistance of a grief counsellor knew the falsity of that position.   It was patently obvious that the situation was complex, that the situation involved under-the-table intrigue, and the situation involved massive incompetence and/or Obama collusion.
       The ever-present fact is that Obama wants America to lose.   He desires that America atone, but only after being forced to atone.   He lives to hate America.  He has been taught since he was in early primary that America invented slavery, exploitation, and imperialism.  So, he could literally sleep through Benghazi, because after all, he had something much more important to do to-morrow morning.

Below, please find the pictures of Lieutenant General Carter Ham and Admiral Gaouette.  Attached is a blurb from a scuttlebutt mag that deals with matter interior to the Department of Defence.   This is what the people in uniform are understanding based on the hard gossip.  The two cited publications have a good record of accuracy with reference to their "rumour and gossip" processing.

Where are Gen Carter Ham and Adm Charles Gaouette?

(and what difference does it make?)

General Carter Ham
Presently being held at
 Bremerton, Washington
The latest rumor making the rounds is that Barack Obama replaced General Carter Ham at AFRICOM after the general made a move to help the US security officials at the Benghazi consulate and annex. Ham was replaced by Gen. David Rodriquez on October 18.

Tiger Droppings reported:
      The information I heard today was that General [Carter] Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
      General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.
The story continues that now General Rodriguez would take General Ham’s place as the head of Africom.
Sure enough Obama nominated Gen. David Rodriguez to replace Gen. Carter Ham as commander of U.S. Africa Command.
The Stars and Stripes reported:

President Barack Obama will nominate Army Gen. David Rodriguez to succeed Gen. Carter Ham as commander of U.S. Africa Command and Marine Lt. Gen. John Paxton to succeed Gen. Joseph Dunford as assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced Thursday.  (El Gringo Viejo notes that Rodriquez has already been posted to the position.   As of this date there is still no news of General Ham, in any publicly retrievable sense.)

Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette
Commander, John C. Stennis
Carrier Strike Group.
(before being relieved of command)
The Obama Administration also relieved the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette. It is highly unusual for the Navy to replace a carrier strike group commander during its deployment.
The Navy said Saturday it is replacing the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment.
Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis’ home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment. The Navy said he is not formally relieved of his command of the Stennis strike group but will be replaced by Rear Adm. Troy M. Shoemaker, who will assume command until the investigation is completed.

El Gringo Viejo observes:

     The scuttlebutt concerning Admiral Gaouette is that he is being investigated for being an associate of a group of middle and high level military officers, working in concert with "extremists in the Tea Party, the Republican Party, and certain private companies" to the end that they might force a resignation by the President of the United States, for various an sundry reasons.
    The charges against Gaouette are probably going to be reduced to "deriliction and insubordination", due to the fact that the Admiral was preparing to lift-off heavily armed air assets from his command, to go to the aid of those under assault in Benghazi.   He remains, along with General Ham...apparently incommunicado....still at Bremerton.   As the days go by, there is no doubt that both Ham and Gaouette are being "conditioned"  to either say nothing upon departure from the service, or to parrot a hypno-line that will avoid involving Obama in any culpability concerning the Benghazi or any of a number of other War related issues.

A Man for this Season

This is the nature of our Representatives to the Congress of the Republic.
Representative White is from one of the outer districts of the
 Republic of Texas and is serving his second term.

                                               Official Statement on HCR 77

james-white-and-daniel-millerThe question was recently asked by the mass media if the Texas Nationalist Movement is becoming a political force.
On March 7, 2013, State Representative James White filed House Concurrent Resolution 77. The text of the bill is as follows:
WHEREAS, The Republic of Texas existed as an independent nation for nine years, and when it accepted admission to the Union in 1845, it remained a free and independent state subject only to the United States Constitution; and

WHEREAS, The United States Congress has passed laws requiring Texas to make expenditures that are unfunded by the federal government, which is a violation of the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; moreover, the federal government has caused the intentional devaluation of its currency through its reckless spending and borrowing, and this threatens the economic stability of Texas; and

WHEREAS, The United States government has allowed the use of its authority, credit, and goodwill for the benefit of private and foreign concerns in violation of its own constitution; in addition, its repeated failure to guard the border between Texas and Mexico has forced the state to spend vast sums in order to protect its citizens; and

WHEREAS, The federal government has further implemented thousands of laws, mandates, and agencies in violation of the United States Constitution and of the sovereignty of the State of Texas; and

WHEREAS, Section 1, Article I, Texas Constitution, states that "the perpetuity of the Union depend[s] upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States"; Section 2, Article I, declares, "All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient"; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas hereby reaffirm the state's sovereignty under the Texas Constitution and the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the Texas secretary of state forward official copies of this resolution to the president of the United States, to the president of the Senate and the speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, and to all the members of the Texas delegation to Congress with the request that this resolution be officially entered in the Congressional Record as a memorial to the Congress of the United States of America.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Members of the Texas Nationalist Movement and the general public will recognize the text of this legislation as a virtual duplicate of the legislation proposed by the TNM to the 82nd Legislature and hand delivered to members of the Texas House of Representatives, the Texas Senate and the Lieutenant Governor on the opening day of the 83rd session of the Legislature. An exact PDF copy of our delivered proposal is available at this link: http://www.texnat.org/independence-referendum-bill.pdf
      After TNM's extensive meetings with members of both houses, State Representative James White filed HCR 77 containing all of the components of our proposed legislation with one exception. This legislation does not call for a referendum on the issue of independence.
     While we in the Texas Nationalist Movement are disappointed that the legislators have declined at this time to give the people of Texas a measurable voice on the issue of independence in accordance with Article 1 Section 2 of the Texas Constitution, we are pleased that this legislation was filed.
     Although this seems to be merely another resolution, this legislation is quite different than any filed before on this particular issue.     In addition to the usual citations of Federal government overreach, this is the first sovereignty legislation that contains an explicit mention of the Article 1 Section 1 of the Texas Constitution which contains the phrase "(the) perpetuity of the Union depend(s) upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States."
      This is also the first piece of sovereignty legislation that contains an acknowledgement of the right of the people to "reform, alter or abolish their form of government" as stated in Article 1 Section 2 of the Texas Constitution.     The inclusion of these two provisions is extremely important to the Texas Nationalist Movement as we move forward and represents an interim victory for the people of Texas.
        We encourage everyone to contact their respective State Representatives and State Senators to demand that they support HCR 77 beginning on March 12, 2013. Further, we encourage the Governor and the Lt. Governor to publicly support the passage of this piece of legislation. Not only does it make sense for Texas, it is required by their oath of office.
In addition, we call on all Texans who believe and want to work for the independence of Texas to join with us at http://www.texasnationalist.com/join.
Malvinas, Falklands...? What difference does it make?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A very small but important kettle of fish, and wool,
and provisioning.

  The Falklands.

File:Falkland Islands topographic map-en.svg

     Stated briefly, the demise of Hugo Chavez, in the way of all flesh that has had repeated ...shall we say...pelvic infections during his younger years, now presents a growing issue of disorder throughout the leftwing in Latinoamerica.   Ecuador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and certainly Venezuela now are casted off into an uncertain sea of many serpents and sharks, and very few charts to show the way to a successful crossing of the troubled waters.
     The elephant in the group has gradually withdrawn from the sirene song of free oil and the constant singing of "The International" and the constant genuflecting before images of various little disciples of Satan like Fidel and Che'.   That pachyderm, of course, is Brazil.   The once seat of the Portugese throne, and recently regarded as the Red China Miracle of Latin America has fallen on hard times.   Brazil is being totally awashed in unfathered children, and in the middle of the worst violence and criminal turbulence since the fall of slavery in the country (By decree of HRH Princess Isabel of Brazil, in 1888).   Presently the onslaught of inter-gang murder and mayhem, along with a general and very intense crime wave throughout the country, threatens the various world events of great interest, including both the Mundial de Futbol Soccer (2014) and the Summer Olympics (2016).    A crummy and declining electrical grid, plus crumbling highways and railways plagues those sectors that are being disregarded while the "official class" makes pretty the scene for the coming events.
    There is no other alternative except to use extremely "active" measures against the street level criminal activity which has long since passed even epidemic proportions.   Beatings and assassination of gang leaders and principal followers make Mexico's body count in the drug war look almost reasonable.  We have frequently pointed out that Mexico's war against the cartel was sneered and snickered and defamed by the Obsolete Press, primarily because its Commander in Chief was Pres. Felipe Calderon Hinojosa, who is a member of Mexico's equivalent of the Amerian Republican Party.   Silly them, because they kinda...like...you know...forgot to tell the public that 60,000 over six years in Mexico, of whom 90% were cockroaches, over a population of 110,000,000 is statistically nowhere near 250,000 in four years over a population of 135,000,000 "souls".   The reason for the silence?
     Like Obama, Brazil had Lulu da Silva, a socialist, redistributionist, global warming dude.  He had to be good, because he, like Hugo Chavez, only cared about the poor.  So we cover for him in the Obsolete Press and defame Mexico and Texas and Conservatives in general.   We can be certain that the Olympics and the Mundial de Futbol will both be plagued by unreported and reported violence.    I remember the the Games in Red China kicked-off with a "deranged" Red Chinese-type person stabbing an American woman to death in front of the Great Hall of the People.

     So, like the glowing press for Hugo Chavez....a totally corrupt demagogue and thug....and the absence of reporting about his tsunami of murders and street-level crime during especially the last 5 years (a becoming worse by the day) and the collapse of the currency, we have the parallel event of the sputtering renovation of threats and hysteria in Argentina concerning the Falkland matter.   To-morrow the people of the Falklands will vote on the  will of the citizens of those Islands, concerning their collective disposition to remain affiliated with the United Kingdom, or if it their wish to unify with the Silver Republic.
Here, Madame President Comrade
Cristina gives herself a sobriety test
as the warm Argentine sun rises over
the Falklands, 500 miles to the south
east.    T0-morrow, the Islanders will
vote to remain in the Commonwealth
 of HRH Elizabeth II and the left-wing
"anti-colonialist" world will be so, so
RESENTFUL!!!!   REVENGE!!!
    So, while President Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil and head of the "Workers' Party" and her predecessor, Ruiz Inacio Lulu da Silva, also of the "Workers' Party" are resting up from their secular pilgrammage to the side of Hugo Chavez's coffin, and trying to put a prettier load of make-up on the face of their form of oppressive marxism, and distancing themselves from Chavez's hysterical, narcissistic, and psychotic form of what he tried to call "socialism".

     And since everyone brought up the word "make-up" perhaps we should finally turn to the first returnee from the crocodile-teared, sob-fest in Caracas, the murder and killing capital of South America.  Cristina Fernandez Vds de Kirchner...the latest pink star in the leftern sky, simply had to return ex post haste-o to Buenos Aires in order to (1) try to keep her government afloat in her own sea of Obama-like red ink, street protests from every significant sector in the Argentine population (including labour unions) and (2) whip up a war frenzy so that Argentina can go out and liberate the Falklands again.  The last time was so much fun that they might enjoy another round of 900 or so dead in a two month war over a few piles of rocks with a bunch of sheep grazing on them.

     The results of the election should be known around 19:00 hours, due to the fact that there are so few voting.  The "congress" of the Falklands self-government council has only eight (8) members.  There is some difficulty in logistics in terms of gathering up the ballots because of the wondrously disjointed, craggy, island-by-island construct of this peculiar, isolated, and fascinating little speck on the globe.
    British Naval resources have been self-degraded by about 35% since the last war with Argentina back in the April-May, 1982....although there have been quantum advances in terms of technology.   The Argentine armed forces will not be deployed because they are a shell of their former selves.   Their efforts in the 1982 war were stiffer than might be supposed, especially their air power, but the failure to put their best troops out and to supply them correctly cancelled any advantages held by Argentina's proximity to the front, and the almost equivalent ability of their air power.

     If one reviews the film accessed through this linkage, he/she will know more about the  1982 Falkland's War than 99% of the rest of the Planet.
                                          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FGWz7NFQnU

    One must wonder if Presidente Cristina will be so foolish as to make the same mistake as the military jefe during the last war.   That she is in desperate political straights, is obvious, but it just does not seem possible that she cannot see that even as she is losing the political battle at home, a military disaster over a bunch of rocks with a population of 3,300 souls would send her even faster to the dust bin of history that is her inevitable home.

To-morrow's vote will be announced in Stanley, and we shall see where the wills of man and woman take this issue in the hours following.   Thank you all for your continued interest, comments, and  following.

    This would have been the Obama voters if Romney had only closed his campaing with reasonable aggression,  instead of going on a two-week semi-victory lap and pulling his punches.  But can anyone imagine being so useless so as to be forced to ask aloud, so that other people could actually hear the words spoken, "Quien me va a cuidar?" ?     Scenes such as this cry out for the establishment of batallions of mobile spaying and neutering vans....24 hour -  7 days a week.
     El Gringo Viejo is speechless with scornful detestation for such people....in Venezuela, Argentina, the United States and everywhere they are found.   Paint a 666 on their forheads and throw them into a Mao tunic and give them a bag to carry dung to the dung heap for Chairman Mao.

So Sad...from the voice from the other side of the mountain

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The White House tours have to be suspended because of the dreaded sequester. Now Barry can leave his dirty underwear out and pizza boxes on the coffee table. It only costs $18,000 a week to facilitate the tours compared to $181,000 an hour to ride in Air Force One (and Two). Imagine that a single one way trip to Hawaii could keep the tours running for well over a year. What cut would be the most effective to inflame the low-informed-voters that can cause the greatest amount of indignation against Republicans and conservatives? It is not conceivable that the sequester could not cause epidemic proportionate suffering. How can it be that the “sun came out and the birds are singing…” etc. It is sad that something so trivial can be the biggest story of the day.
We have much larger problems. The idea that proposed spending cuts are cuts is preposterous. Any cuts associated with a budget, we have not had one from this President yet, are simply a reduction in the amount of proposed increase in spending, not a real reduction in spending. In fact, spending will still go up by at least 5%. This pompous imposter we call king… I mean President, says “we have commitments we have to meet, we are obligated to raise taxes to pay for things we have committed to” (paraphrased). Actually the elephant in the closet is the ObamaCare atrocity that has not been funded. Without that, we could keep current spending levels. It is sad that truth about spending is not the story of the day.
ObamaCare is the largest single invasion of personal privacy ever in the history of this country perpetrated on its citizens. Except for John Roberts’ absurd deciding vote on the Healthcare law, ObamaCare would be DOA. Even Obama and the Democrats said the bill was “absolutely” a fine, not a tax which would have been illegal under the Constitution. What was the payoff for the Chief Justice? What dirty thing happened? We need to know. This stinks to high heaven that the IRS is the enforcer of this unconstitutional law. It is sad that the Supreme Court has the power to shred the Constitution without recourse.
Then there are the drones. It is just another invasion of personal privacy. The issue being made of the issue is that drones might be used to kill American without due process. Yes, that is bad; however, the larger problem with a government drone program is what can happen to our privacy. Who knows what the drones constantly circling overhead are doing. Are Americans to be watched 24/7 by the CIA, Military, IRS, or the President’s secret service? This is what Americans should be concerned about. Obama pulls troops out of the war zones and putting in drones. This removes guns and men from the military. There is a similarity between that and his use of drones and the attempt to remove guns from civilians. Theoretically, drones could be used to find guns and gun owners. As paranoid as this might seem, it is not beyond this man’s modality to use technology to control the population. It is sad that we have evil at the controls of our country.
These are random concerns of a very concerned citizen. It is sad because what is happening is seemingly not stoppable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our hope today is in primarily 4 brave men. We have to watch, support, and pick one of Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Mike Lee. These are the new leaders of the Conservative movement and Tea Party. We need one of them to come out in front to challenge in 2016. In the interim there is the 2014 mid-term election where we have no more important task than to keep and increase conservative numbers in the House of Representatives and take the Senate. Nothing less is acceptable.
