These things are known....some do not care.....some have forgotten

________________________________

If you're under 50 you really need to read this. If you’re over 50, you lived through it, so share it with those under 50!
When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a Democrat controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million for studies, promotion, and other efforts.
Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.
Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.
Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
Many younger votes will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.
Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House.
Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.
Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the #$%$ eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were:
She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.
She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor.
After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.
Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.
Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath.
After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.
What a swell party – ready for another four or eight year of this type of low-life mess?
Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next.
But to her loyal fans (supporters) - I guess in her own words “what difference does it make?”

Our outpost in Extreme Central Texas forwards this bit that is heavier than it looks at first glance:

Cleese says political correctness has gone too far, especially on America's college campuses, where he will no longer go to perform. The very essence of his trade — comedy — is criticism and that not infrequently means hurt feelings. But protecting everyone from negative emotion all the time is not only impractical (one can't control the feelings of another), but also improper in a free society. Cleese, having worked with psychiatrist Robin Skynner, says there may even be something more sinister behind the insistence to be always be politically correct.

John Marwood Cleese is an English actor, comedian, writer, and film director.  He achieved success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and as a scriptwriter and performer on the Frost Report.  In the late 1960s, he co-founded Monty Python, the comedy troupe responsible for the sketch show Monty Paython's Flaying circus and the four Monty Python films.

 For instance, John Cleese says:

I'm offended every day. For example, the British newspapers every day offend me with their laziness, their nastiness, and their inaccuracy, but I'm not going to expect someone to stop that happening; I just simply speak out about it. Sometimes when people are offended they want — you can just come in and say, "Right, stop that." to whoever it is offending them. And, of course, as a former chairman of the BBC one said, "There are some people who I would wish to offend." And I think there's truth in that too. So the idea that you have to be protected from any kind of uncomfortable emotion is what I absolutely do not subscribe to. And a fellow who I helped write two books about psychology and psychiatry was a renowned psychiatrist in London called Robin Skynner said something very interesting to me. He said, "If people can't control their own emotions, then they have to start trying to control other people's behavior."
And when you're around super-sensitive people, you cannot relax and be spontaneous because you have no idea what's going to upset them next. And that's why I've been warned recently don't to go to most university campuses because the political correctness has been taken from being a good idea, which is let's not be mean in particular to people who are not able to look after themselves very well — that's a good idea — to the point where any kind of criticism or any individual or group could be labeled cruel.

And the whole point about humor, the whole point about comedy, and believe you me I thought about this, is that all comedy is critical. Even if you make a very inclusive comedy.

Is this "situation" coming to your country?

IS THIS "SITUATION" COMING TO YOUR COUNTRY?

(forwarded by El Zorro)

Yesterday, at the hospital, we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is unsustainable.  Clinics cannot handle the number of migrant medical emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the main hospitals.
Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff and we women are now refusing to go among those migrants!  Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse.  Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.
Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we in Europe do not know how to treat.  If they receive a prescription to the pharmacy, they suddenly learn they have to pay cash.

This leads to unbelievable outbursts, especially when it is about drugs for the children.  They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words:  So, cure them here yourselves!  So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also the large pharmacies.
We ask openly 'where are all those who welcomed the migrants in front of TV cameras with signs at train stations?'  Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to get rid of them.
Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million.  Now it will be at least 3.5 million.  Most of these people are completely unemployable.  Only a small minimum of them have any education.  What is more, their women usually do not work at all.  I estimate that one in ten is pregnant.   Hundreds of thousands of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and very needy.  If this continues and Germany re-opens its borders, I am going home to the CzechRepublic.  Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not even for double the salary back home.  I came to Germany to work, not to Africa or the Middle East!
Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who has cleaned every day for years for 800 euros and then meets crowds of young men in the hallways who just wait with their hands outstretched, wanting everything for free, and when they don't get it they throw a fit.  I really don't need this!  But I am afraid that if I return home, at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic.
If the Germans, with their systems, cannot handle this, then, guaranteed, back home will be total chaos.  You - who have not come in contact with these people have absolutely no idea what kind of badly behaved desperadoes these people are, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodation.  For now, the local hospital staff have not come down with the diseases these people brought here, but with so many hundreds of patients every day this is just a question of time.
In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on the brink of death, who they'd dragged across half of Europe for three months.  The child died two days later, despite having received top care at one of the best pediatric clinics in Germany.  The pediatric physician had to undergo surgery and the two nurses are recovering in the ICU.  Nobody has been punished.  WHY?
The local press is forbidden to write about it, so we can only inform you through email.  What would have happened to a German if he had stabbed the doctor and nurses with a knife?  Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a nurses face and so threatened her with infection?
At a minimum he would have gone straight to jail and later to court.  With these people so far, nothing has happened - WHY?
And so I ask...  Where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations?  Sitting pretty at home, enjoying their uncomplicated, safe lives.  If it were up to me I would round up all those greeters and bring them here first to our hospitals emergency ward as attendants!  Then into one of the buildings housing the migrants, so they can really look after them there themselves, without armed police and police dogs, who, sadly today, are in every hospital here in Bavaria.  Once again:

Is this "situation" coming to your country?
This Czech doctor did not think that she would ever see it in Germany.
But....she did...

Political Commentary from El Gringo Viejo - Perhaps sound and fury signifying nothing....but some things just need to be said

   We have attempted on three or four occasions to submit something worthy of the OROG community concerning the political situation in the United States. We lament that almost all Republicans forget the rule that Ronaldus Magnus set forth in the olden days;

Thou shalt not eat of the meat of the pachyderm.  Not of the black or of the grey or of the white pachyderm.  Thou shalt not speak ill of the pachyderm nor disgrace him or her, neither bull nor cow nor calf,  in public or private in any way.

So, now we move on forward, with a primary process that would embarrass any self-respecting inmate in a criminal psychiatric hospital.  The Democrat Party, now far distant from any sense of sanity....Scoop Jackson, John Kennedy, Daniel Moynihan....all gone.  We are left with Debbie Wasserman Schultz....who hath neither the intelligence of a dead rock nor the soul of a scorpion.  She, as (Sir Edmund) Hillary Corkscrew, lies without hesitation about any and every thing.  She has created chaos within her own party and presided over the single largest decline of the Democrat Party in the history of its post-Reconstruction existence.

Nothing she says makes any sense, and upon fact checking, nothing she has said really has any orientation around truth or fact.   The Democrat Party has become a cobbling together of disparate interests whose last concern is the general state of the Republic.  Each group is intent upon clawing their way into the purse of anyone left who is stupid enough to believe in self-sufficiency, traditional values, self-defense, and deferred gratification.

The Democrat panoply of great statesmen?   Bernie and (Sir Edmund) Hillary Rodham.....truly inspiring psychotics who are committed to demagoguery, invasion of the Nation's exchequer, and self-indulgence.

They are the best leaders of a party composed entirely of parasitic draculas who want their hearths and unprofitable businesses paid for by others.

 THE REALLY BAD PART:

The worst of all of this is the gaggle of Republicans....(almost all of whom would be better than any of the Democrat Party alternatives)....but, who are intent upon eating elephant steak.

Please ladies and gentlemen....please....give us the quiet, inspiring word.   Point us to the ridge, not to be safe and secure, but where we can serve to defend the flag that is so despised by the "Progressives" and secular humanists.   Please say something beyond, "I will keep you safe."

Say and promise something that makes sense.  Abolition of the Internal Revenue Service, whether H and R Block likes it or not.   Replacement of the insane tax system with a very simple, terminal sales tax of 12 per cent;  no "value added tax" at each stage of transfer of product.

Propose and establish the process by which the Secretariats of Energy, Labour, Education, Commerce, "Health and Human Services", the Bureau of Indian Affairs, much of the Secretariat of Justice. and certainly the Federal Emergency Management Agency.   Simultaneously, while privatizing the entire Social Security System's mess, we could certainly do without the Secretariat of Housing and Human Development as well.
If anyone proposes the repeal of the Obama Socialised Medical Initiative (OSMI) and its replacement with a better alternative, he/she should be sent to Alaska to keep Sarah Palin company in her dodderage, which has obviously advanced to a critical, perhaps terminal, point.   It is obviously best to simply allow the OSMI to die a miserable, painful, and permanent death and be replaced simply by competition and cash reserve accounts, now un-afraid of usurious taxation.

Governments that seek to establish "social democracy"  and "fair income redistribution" must of necessity become totalitarian.   It is, however,  truly odd to consider that Mexico does not have an "estate (death) tax".  Draconian income taxes against the upper and upper middle income people, and a 16% national sales tax, yes.....but no "estate tax".

We were going to go up and down the list of the GOP candidates and register our critiques of their performance and proposals, but to what end or purpose?  There are two or three left who are worthy of consideration.  Cruz, Rubio, Dr. Carson....perhaps even Annette Funicello....but presently they are covered by shill and jive....pointless noise that demagogues bellow when they have nothing else to sell....like ''Let's make American great again!!!"

There are still those of us who can remember a similar dingbat named Ross Perot who specialised like the present dingbat in saying things that made no sense.   Our present dingbat appears to be a person that might possibly be chewing marijuana while taking methamphetimines....he speaks in short bursts, phrases that have no discernible meaning, that he repeats several times before moving on to another frenetic topic that is never really developed into anything coherent.  It is similar to H. Ross Perot's soliloquies such as:

"There's no big thing here.  You're drivin' down the road and the engine acts up, you gotta get out and put the hood up....that's what you do.  You gotta get out and put the hood up, and then you gotta look for the problem, that's all....It's as easy as pie.   There's nothin' to it.     And then when you find the problem then you gotta get at it.  Yessir...you gotta get at it.   And it's not goin' to be easy, no sir.   It's not gonna be easy...you gotta get your hands dirty and get in there and fix it....and then after a lot of really hard work, maybe you can drive a little further down the road...yessir, that's what you gotta do."   Sound of the crowd roaring approval drown out the rest of Mr. Perot's instructive.
The present braying deranged low-grade demagogue is having fun playing the role of a real campaigner.....Perhaps he still sees himself starring in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and Breaks all the China in the Cabinet remake.  My best estimate is that he is going to retire from the race fairly soon after losing interest in the new toy.  His entire performance has been so frenetic and childish that anyone who can find his own toothbrush should be able to see through this poseur.

Let me go nibble on my No-Doze and drink my Air-wick and get back on track.

We are back up from Mexico

There will be more postings and observations during the coming  hours.   But first, we start off our activity with a bit of dry humor sent down from the northern Frontier of the Republic of Texas by El Zorro. This is good for a laugh, even if it's not funny....!

COSTELLO:  I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America  .
ABBOTT: Good Subject.  Terrible Times.  It’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO:  That many people are out of work?
ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

COSTELLO: You just said 5.6%.
ABBOTT:  5.6% Unemployed.

COSTELLO:  Right 5.6% out of work.
ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it’s  23% unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, that’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO:  WAIT A MINUTE!  Is it 5.6% or 23%?
ABBOTT: 5.6% are unemployed.  23% are out of work.

COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed.
ABBOTT:  No, Obama said you can’t count the “Out of Work” as the unemployed.  You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!!
ABBOTT: No, you miss his point.

COSTELLO:  What point?
ABBOTT:  Someone who doesn’t look for work can’t be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn’t be fair.

COSTELLO: To whom?
ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work.
ABBOTTNo, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you’re off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment?
ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLOThe unemployment just goes down because you don’t look for work?
ABBOTTAbsolutely it goes  down. That’s how it gets to 5.6%. Otherwise it would be 23%.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?
ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?
ABBOTT: Correct.

COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.

COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work.
ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like a Democrat.

COSTELLO:  I don’t even know what the hell I just said!
ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like Hillary.

They can dish it out, but cannot "take it" - Remember the comfortable words of Governor Andrew Cuomo.....

_____________________

Why would Ted Cruz speak the truth before the arrogant?   Why would he say mean things about a place that would fine someone 125,000 USD for making a negative comment about Bruce Jenner?  Is National Socialism now so weak that it must widen and deepen its treachery?    If New York City is such a fine place then why do the police have to turn their backs on the Mayor, who is a marxist dolt, when that mayor make an appearance among the police.   The mayor was elected by generally low intelligence, low information people who want something for nothing.  It is what New York City wants and needs.   And we are blamed for not really being too warm to such "New York Values".

You of New York are entitled to your opinion about us because of some sense of supposed, albeit unwarranted, superiority.   The fact is our fire departments would have done the same, but better, job than yours did at the Twin Towers.  We respect what was done, and we lament that massive losses. But what was done by the people would have been done the same or better here in the backwards South and in the Republic of Texas.  Do Not Doubt It.

The Wisdom  of Governor Cuomo

Gov. Cuomo has a message for conservative Republicans — "You don’t belong in New York."

Cuomo said Friday that members of the GOP with “extreme” views are creating an identity crisis for their party and represent a bigger worry than Democrats such as himself.

“Their problem isn’t me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves,” the governor said on Albany’s The Capitol Pressroom radio show.
Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”
He added that moderate Republicans, such as those in the state Senate, “have a place in their state.”
Cuomo hammered Republican activists whose views he said were out of step with the majority of New Yorkers and said the party has to back moderates to have any hope of winning seats in this fall’s elections.
(El Gringo Viejo inserts here, for the sake of the Governor's edification that his party of distortion, galloping socialism, demagoguery, illogic, and Spend, spend; elect, elect; and tax, tax....is a hollow, devious cabal of parasites who delight in putting other peoples' money where their mouths are.   The by-elections in November of 2014 were a disaster for the Democrats, and desire by the Governor to have only "moderate Republicans" is because the governor despises people who believe in the truth, and who want common law, natural law, and constitutional government.)
“You have a schism within the Republican Party,” Cuomo observed. “They’re searching to define their soul. That’s what’s going on . . . It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington.”
On another front, Cu
omo declined to give his unqualified support to State Education Commissioner John King, citing concerns over the controversial Common Core curriculum.
“I don’t know that anyone has my 100 percent support, some family members included,” Cuomo said flatly. “I think John King has done a good job, by and large. I think there are some real questions about Common Core.”
When pressed about his “tepid support” of the education chief, Cuomo quickly added, “I think he has done a good job. I support the job he’s done.”
_____________________

We simply could not resist the temptation, concerning the governor's prognostications about what kind of candidates actually win elections in the real world outside of New York.    We also would like to point out that after "Super Storm Sandy" (a category 1 hurricane when it hit New York - New Jersey) caused the mobilisation of many firefighters from Texas, Alabama, and other places associated with the Wild West and the Confederacy.
Upon arriving in the precincts where the damage was most severe, these people, travelling primarily on a combination of their own money, contributions from their locales, and contributions from their political entities, received obscene gestures, cat-calls of "Go Home, Scabs", along with garages of rocks and vile verbal epithets.
Some of the firemen were amazed at the reception, as well as with the fact that the Fire Department had not turned off power in an area where thousands of frame houses where built almost touching each other.  The power should have been shut down before flinging power cables ignited transformer pots and other flammable material.  Failure to do so resulted in billions of dollars of unnecessary losses.  To wit:

New York was severely affected by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, particularly New York City, its suburbs, and Long Island. Sandy's impacts included the flooding of the New York City Subway system,[2] many suburban communities,[3] and all road tunnels entering Manhattan except the Lincoln Tunnel, and the closure of the New York Stock Exchange for two consecutive days. Numerous homes and businesses were destroyed by fire, including over 100 homes in Breezy Point, Queens. Large parts of the city and surrounding areas lost electricity for several days, and several thousand people in midtown Manhattan were evacuated for six days due a crane collapse at Extell's One57Bellevue Hospital Center and a few other large hospitals were closed and evacuated. At least 53 people died in New York as a result of the storm.[4] Thousands of homes and an estimated 250,000 vehicles were destroyed during the storm.[5] Economic losses across New York were estimated to be at least $18 billion.[6]

The above summary in Wikipedia tried to be nice about it, but the fact is that  for a city presumably so advanced and kind and gentle, it was an arrogant hell-hole of incompetence and union thuggery.  It brought back to mind about how "brave" the firemen were who were caught in the collapse of the twin towers.  They were caught because the communications systems overloaded because they were hopelessly out-of -date.  Stories also proliferated about pilfering, but all big city fire departments have those stories told about them....there is no active proof beyond various citizens saying, "You should have seen what I saw...."
The very clear fact was that the firemen in the New York - New Jersey area were horridly rude, arrogant, and threatening when folks from an area that is Right-to-Work came with competent....better than NYFD quality....help.

Thanks for your time as usual!
