We have to compile all nature of events, challenges, and situations to try to catch up with our audience…or what we style as the OROG (Order of Readers of the Old Gringo) community. There was a very dry spell during the late Spring and Summer…affected by what the Mexicans call "la canicula"…and what the Gringos call "the dog days of Summer". Canicula is a word that roughly translates into the English as "the Dog Days".
My grandfather told me…when I was a five year old…that the dogs in Tennessee during the Dog Days would just hold up a sign that stated "Bow Wow" instead of barking and running after intruder dogs or cats. It was just too hot and dry to exert the effort to do a dog's duty. We had that here, and we had the same down at the Quinta Tesoro de la Sierra Madre and our adjacent neighbour's orchards of the Hacienda de La Vega.
Heat…dryness…day after day…scalding solar rays…wilting and drooping leaves and limbs. The nights would restore the "growies"and at 06:00 in the morning darkness one could appreciate the flowers and vigour of the bushes, trees, and other plants. My wife is putting in a 10 - 12 hour day as an accountant for a public institution, and then she chases over to the nearby ultra-deluxe cottage of her parents (my father-in-law is with the Angels now) to do the mowing and other yard manicuring…the place looks like a fairy tale, inside and out. She fights the hedges and the bouganvillas and the nozzles of the lawn spraying system…and she always wins.
Make no mistake, my mother-in-law is a bit the senior of my wife. But she is no real problem, completely self-sufficient, completely lucid, still able to speak a form of ancient Spanish perfectly and a form of Texian and Brittanic English…at the snap of her fingers. She was a Valedictorian of her class…as was her brother before her.
As lazy as I am, it is probably true that I help at least a little bit. And now, with a series of rain events both here and down at our place 234 miles into the interior of Mexico the rains of Autumn cometh. I just spoke with Alvaro, our Mayordomo, and he said that we have had two inches of rain and they are anticipating another four or five inches of rain to-night and to-morrow (September 2, 3, and 4th)

There are several loose ends and several lost ends that we are trying go get back on some kind of track or another…preferably one that does not have a train going in the opposite direction. The whole election thing baffles and distresses me…to think that there are fourteen months to go by before the election day arrives.
When I become Emperor of Texas, Parliament will have an episode of 30 days to campaign, and one day to vote. We ask for reason…and must all consider that beating a saloon table or bar to death with the butt of one's beer bottle, while emphasising how important it is for this person or that to receive free money from the Exchequer…would certainly be more efficiently done in 30 days en lieu of 390 days.
Just think of all the money if we could save the bottom rims and the necks of hundreds of thousands of beer bottles, not to mention those one-quart mugs that must set the barman back five or ten quid for every stein and mug. You see…significant social and economic progress without the Crown spending a farthing.
We move on to this problem of overpopulation. At present, the Democrat Socialists feel it necessary to nominate nincompoops to important offices. Truth be told, their entire first team and bench is composed of nincompoops who believe that government is the source of prosperity.
We are flooded with what seems to be a Cecil B. DeMille casting call for Muddy-thinkers by the Millions…starring Bernie, Pocahontas, and whatshisname, and that other woman over there who is dedicated to change, along with about 20,000 other declared candidates, including the Lord Mayor of Bedford Stuyvesant…all wishing to be President of the United States.
This is living proof that we are suffering overpopulation…it is the overpopulation of fools and schemers. Change, change, change!!! Perhaps they are correct, because in America right now, in spite of the dirty legitimate birthing, there are probably several million people who need changing right now. Almost all are aged two or less, but they still need changing.
We have one fellow who wants to be the Socialist Democrat king of change. He is advising us that he is qualified because he has driven a nice, nowhere, small city into the dirt and turned it into a crime bedridden, corrupt, fourth-rate living area that has joined the Lemmings' march to the Cliffs of Dover. He always seems to be able to remind people that he consults with his husband about important matters, and in so doing reminds us…the little people…that he is our moral superior and he is careful to remind one and all that he is a combat veteran of the Iran and Afghanistan Wars…as well…although most veterans…combat or otherwise…are reluctant to talk about their time in the Fog of War. He is also careful to demonstrate his moral superiority because he can destroy the word "gay" when he means to say "homosexual".
Then we have this incessant beat of the drum. Climate change…climate change…climate change…and very few people have the least notion about the matter. Twenty-five years ago…Global cooling, Nuclear Winter...ushering in another overnight ice-age…we only have 12 years before everything is frozen. That did not work out so well, so we endured Global Warming…a campaign of 15 years that claimed we only had 12 years before the entire planet Earth would be immolated. Time passed, there was no such event…although the University of East Anglia arch -marxist "meteorologist and climatologists" had irrefutable proof that the Earth only had 12 years before Climate Change would irrevocably bring on the ambient destruction of planet Earth forever. You know…after forty years of lies and obtuse "scientific mendacity", one would think that the charlatans would drift on over to more friendly environs…such as Red China or the hell-hole that is Russia. There they could be among their own kind of mendacious vermin.
It has become a catechism without a sin or a redemption being cured or rewarded. One of the worst environmental problem we have on the Planet is garbage, litter, and refuse. This ambient and ground and waterways contamination is dominated by Red China and India. These are horridly filthy countries, try as they might to make it filthier they just don't have the per capita oomph to produce, together, more than 92 per cent of all the solid garbage floating in the oceans and on land masses.
The United States of America produces 0.27 per cent of the unprocessed garbage…a amount roughly equivalent to Mexico's…but remembering that Mexico is only one-third the size of the United States in terms of population. But Mexico, when compared to Red China and India, is like a surgical salon compared to a soldering open-pit garbage dump. But the anti-American marxist "community" and the new Islamic community of perpetual grievance now present on American soil will never allow these truths to be repeated with any frequency. They will persist in blaming America and Americans for all the ills in the world and for all the problems real and imagined being suffered by the most fortunate people on Planet Earth…those who live in this Nation.
It is a gaggle of ghouls within the Socialist Democrat panoply…each trying to buy votes with other peoples' monies…and changing positions a conveniently as a stage actor performing a role in this play to-night and a different role for the next play to-morrow night. The shifting of positions about immigration of illegal aliens by the leftist Democrats from 15 years ago to their present position now…is one of the most cowardly, deceitful, arrogant, and pointless manoeuvres in American political history.
The idea that a political party would be so willing to shift from one position to another simply to undermine the cultural and political integrity of the legal processes of the Nation is patently repulsive. It is also indicative of where the Socialist Democrat political party in these times…when any assembly of lies and any collusion with press agents in the Obsolete Media can be cobbled together in a few minutes a spewed out over scores of pages of dull, marxist printing and radio and television broadcasting.
(Sir Edmund) Hillary, Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, and the gaggle of dullards and self-involved miscreants have all but destroyed the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation…by self-destructive methods. There are forty or fifty of those a the highest first and second level in that particular useless division of the central government who genuinely need to make license plates for good long while…and then be banished to some place like Zimbabwe.
The stench of the activities concerning the matter of Christopher Steele's cut and paste dossier and James Comey's clumsy, mendacious conduct in his quest to railroad Donald John Trump out of the oval office will long contaminate the halls of many, many offices and government buildings. It was bad before…and it was made worse by the ghouls of the empowered, badge carrying, gun-toting leftist thugs.
